During the charity stream Anet did today one of the devs mentioned there was a, as far as they were aware, undiscovered hint/secret in the End of Dragons trailer.

Some guesses made on reddit include this flag, which is very briefly seen in the trailerhttps://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/jpiqop/undiscovered_hintsecret_in_end_of_dragons_trailer/Du5cDPI.pngWhich appears to be the exact same as the Aetherblade logoLgJAvJQ.pngPerhaps they are coming back?

Other possibilities noted are'MMXXI' written on bellZJEnyQK.png

'Eye' symbol on the top part of first gate at 0:09jWmtEln.png

The word 'Mercy' on the dragon pipe at 0:216HwDMmb.png

Yes it is clearly the aetherblade flag. But hey, wouldn't be that surprising: Sure, mai trin and horrik are killed, but what are the chances all the other aetherblades heard about it? Whereas some of them returned to their instincts and even forgetting where they got their airships like the corsairs of Istan in the north, some other may have continued to take care of their high tech gear and roaming around with asura shooting lasers. If some successfully escaped to istan, why not cantha, or even the northern maguuma wastes, now that balthazar is gone and joko too, they can even fly to the crystal desert. I don't remember how many airships where there during the assault of LA during LS1 but they were a lot, several stationnary over LA and many in the map around launching invasions, I remember fighting them in kessex hills or gandarran. And we destroyed what, 2 in twilight arbor and Mai trin one? Not a lot compared to the fleet. Plus all that fled through the mists and can be technically everywhere.

And you have Auris Weirdbringer, the charr of not really known origin apart that it was present in blood keep in charr homelands. And still no trace of Rift stabilizer class III, IV and V. Where he got its aetherblade armor, and why there is a thing with the number 97.

About the bell, clearly MMXXI, 2021 in roman numbers. Year of release confirmed? Maybe spring...

About the others things, you have "DUTY" written on the stone arch just before dragon body joining two walls section.

If they bring back Cantha's Gangs in End of Dragons as important figures of Cantha's storyline, I expect the Aetherblades of Cantha have basically become a gang themselves due to being maybe the only surviving members of the Aetherblades after the death of Mai and Horrik. They maybe a shadow of what they use to be but they are still a small gang now just trying to survive in Cantha.

Pretty sure Mai Trin escaped into the Mists just before Scarlet attacked Lions Arch. I believe it was the plot for Edge of the Mist chapter of living world season 1.

I have been musing over the idea of Mai Trin becoming a dragon champion. She's a skilled fighter with leadership qualities, so she would fit the criteria that Ryland and the commander fall into. I could see her becoming a sympathetic anti-hero seeking redemption. It's hard to imagine the DSD having a champion at this point, knowing so little about their schtick. If the concept art holds any weight, we've seen a saltspray dragon flying alongside the aetherblade ships. It's possible she could bond with one of them.

Well mai trin escaped but we killed her and horrik in the aetherblade story dungeon. (yeah was a story before a fractal), the commander was with the inspector ellen kiel when it happened.

Aetherblade Retreat is a story dungeon introduced in the Sky Pirates of Tyria release. It was available from June 25 to July 9, 2013."Once Mai is defeated, Horrik becomes Frenzied and now you must finish him.Destroy the escaping Aethership:Once Horrik is down, he drops a Cannon Core. If the battle was won in less than 15 minutes, players have a chance to destroy the escaping Aethership. Use the new red platforms to move over to the waiting airship and use the core on the cannon up front to destroy the airship."

This does not seem to be true according to the wiki: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Captain_Mai_Trin

The dungeon story is where she was captured. Afterward, she's busted out by the Aetherblade and is still at large in the mists, as far as we know.

Yeah we defeat Mai Trin in the fractal. The same goes for the story instance, however she is captured by the Lion Guard and eventually escapes captivity, fleeing into the mists, so she is still alive.

Mai Trin was apprehended by Inspector Ellen Kiel in the Aetherblade Retreat while her first mate, Horrik, was killed. She spent time incarcerated in Fort Marriner, but was later freed by her Aetherblades and taken to the Edge of the Mists, pursued by Braham and Taimi. She eluded capture, however, and carried out the mission Scarlet had given her while Scarlet's Alliance invaded Lion's Arch. Even after Scarlet's fall, Mai Trin has remained elusive in the Mists.

the fractal takes place before she espace from prisonShe was just defeated, not killed
