I have been trying to complete the Goemm's JP. I have been trying for four days, even had a friend with a Mesmer try to help. We never got passed half way. I was going to skip it, but I'm not sure how to. Do I get my skyscale first then go back and use the extra pungent treat? Or am I stuck and out of luck getting the skyscale?

The Extra-Pungent Skyscale Treat is used on the fourth part of the Skyscale collections quests. It can be used while in the map for any of the "Troublesome Skyscales" achievement parts. You don't have to be IN the JP or even get to the end if you use a treat. It's meant as an alternative for folks who have difficulty with JPs and whatnot. If you have a treat and double-click consuming it doesn't work, check your achievements and make certain you don't already somehow have that part done.

Also make certain you've actually unlocked the "Troublesome Skyscales" achievement. You're meant to do them in order and it's possible to buy the treat off the TP without having the achievement unlocked.
