When are Auction house peak and valley times throughout the week? Month? Year?

I'm trying to buy some items on the Black Lion Trading. Are there days where prices are lower from having less people to sell to and higher because more people are buying?

When are good days to go looking for something to buy? And what are good days to already have something up and ready to be sold?

I might figure it out eventually but I don't do a lot of volume to really see it, nor do I know any tools to watch it from a 3rd party.

The Wiki pages on individual items link to 3 sites which track prices over time:https://www.gw2spidy.com/https://www.gw2bltc.com/en/https://www.gw2tp.com/

They all get their data from the game's API so price data should be identical across all of them, choosing between them is just a matter of deciding which format and other features you prefer, or you can of course use all of them.

I don't think there's a consistent pattern across items, but I've never really looked. I'm reasonably sure there's more activity on the weekend than on week days because there's more players on but whether that means item prices go up or down will depend on whether the majority of people (and especially casual players who may only play on the weekend) are getting more of that item than they will want and therefore selling it (causing the price to drop) or rushing to buy it while they're online, causing the price to increase.

I do know that candy corn is generally slightly more expensive during weekends in Halloween and slightly cheaper on week days (except the Monday before the festival ends) but I'm not sure about any other item.

So the best bet is probably to look up the specific items you want to buy or sell and see if you can spot any patterns in previous activity. As well as time and day of the week remember to factor in things like new releases and festivals which might affect demand.
