Alternative to Superior Rune of the Monk for FB

It says on the wiki that I can only get it by spending Ascalonian Tears. Too bad, I don't do much dungeons and it's really not my cup of tea. I am currently using Sup Rune of The Traveler but I really want something that can compliment my minstrel build. Thank you in advance.

You can do PVP/WVW reward tracks for the ascalonian tears

Flock runes are a good choice though , water runes if you want more boon duration.

I got the Wintersday Track on repeat right now. I really want to stock on those gifts before the event ends. I will try the Flock Runes. Are they available on TP?

For monk runes, the reward track ascalonian catacombs becomes available to an account one of two ways;

Temporary unlock for two weeks on a rotating schedule with other dungeon reward tacksOrComplete the story mode or one path of the dungeon to unlock permanently.

I would advise you to just complete the story mode. I don't play support and yet I've always found it handy having extra monk runes/tears to buy them available for some reason. But also you can unlock all those skins through the reward track.

Durability. Have your support classes stack those. The extra healing isn't as important as high uptime on resistance and protection.

Pro tip: Save your daily pots. ~80 pots = 1 track, iirc 3 Ascalonian tracks = enough tears for 6 Monk runes.

Imo stop being lazy. If your group/guild wants Monk runes on Firebrands, get Monk runes for your Firebrand.

monk runes are staple tho; you shoulda just have looked for something that provides big amounts of healing output, idk... there's a ton of cheap runeset that cost only like 30 silver for a full set.

so if anyone asks himself this question as well as OP: don't buy expensive runes, FB and healscrapper 100% want the monk runes for the healbuffs. u lose at least 30% effectiveness by running other runes i fear, if not worse.

and yeah i also ran ascalon track up and down for them. easy to get in the end.

and praying that u don't run into scrouges that know how to push their buttons? xD i really don't think boon duration is thaaat valuable, minstrel gear alone does enough towards keeping that up
