Reddit is not the TP.

I also went back on that subreddit, well past the recent update that increased the drop rate, and it has been selling between 10-11K for months. About seven months ago it was selling for around 16K. So I'm not seeing how you're attributing the recent update to the price reduction.

Good addition to the game. The black market removed 0 hold from the game. Now everytime one of these infusions are sold 2k gold is removed from the economy. When gold is removed, the price everything goes down.

So glad they made these more attainable, I now feel a lot more motivated to grind out 20K gold for the confetti and chak infusions. Hope they both go low enough to always be on the TP

The drop in buy price looks a lot more relevant in this case along with the changes in the number of buy orders.

but it started back in the beginning of October 2020 therefore if it was due to a change it would have been from this patch https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/115346/game-update-notes-september-29-2020#latest not the most recent one.

Checked out of curiousity and the first post I've seen was confetti infusion sold for 8,5k in october. So... Fake news?Checked more offers because that guy seemed a little fishy, but overally it still seems they were going in and out for 8.5k+ gold for quite some time before the patch.
