notebene.3190
I tried it in the Bloodtide Coast mission, which was under the Jormag category (which, I'm assuming is an icebrood one), and I tried to use it several times at point blank range on that last boss when the breakbar was down, and nothing happened.I've already successfully done the Primordus staff one.Any thoughts? Maybe a different mission/boss?
Ayrilana.1396
Are you doing it immediately after the breakbar is down when the bar is purple? I unlocks both sets in one go. I did Metrica for the fire ones and Fireheart for the ice ones. Both of those bosses have very frequent breakbars which don't rely on phases. ugrakarma.9416
Bloodtide is very spammy boss, prone to bug.

Fireheart worked great for the ice one, as another posted suggested. I also did my fire one at Metrica.Remember, you bring the unfinished weapon with you, and when you get in the instance (either immediately or before the final fight starts), you double-click on the item in your inventory and it gives you one of those special abilities. After you down the break bar on the boss, you use the special action on the targeted boss, and it should complete it. You 'do' have to be very close, there is a range indicator under the special action just like our other abilities and will let you know if you are too far away.In the event that helps.
