jumping with a raptor

ok I have the canyon jumping mastery unlock for my raptor. But, I can't seem to jump over to the other side of the canyon to get the rabbit mount. is there any tip? or do I have to level it to the 4th mastery? I don't get it. I need some help, please.

Hold down to jump further, besides that I don't know what else to tell you as I don't know what you are doing wrong to know how to correct it

i got canyon jumping aswell and i cant jump any further then with out 3th mastery any hints tips

Canyon Jumping has not been an issue for me. I've not changed anything in how I use the space bar on the raptor. Not sure why you folks are having issues, since Raptor 3 is a much longer jump mechanic than the jump mechanic your raptor comes to you with.

Only thing I can suggest is to aim your raptor as straight as possible to get as much distance on your jump as you can.

Most Mount movement skills have an increased effect when the iey is held rather than tapped.

The raptor in particular uses a chunk of endurance up front and then uses more gradually depending on how long it's held. All other mounts do a similar thing.

It's not apparent and not mentioned above, but the way to long jump, is to press the "V" key instead of the spacebar.  The longer you hold it down, the farther he goes.  However, the longer you hold it down, the more of that yellow bar gets used up (above your health indicator [bottom center of your screen] - remember when you learned to dodge?)

Is OP trying to get over the correct cliff to begin with?

 

 

If so, it sounds that OP hasn't leveled up the masteries yet or applied the mastery points, otherwise there is no reason they can't make the jump.

It works the same way with the space bar.

I'd imagine that after 4 years, the OP made it across the cliff.
