As usual, too myopic, not big picture enough. Arenanet needs to get their act together.

  • Yay Iam loving the Mirage changes! Thank you ANET!!!

Very interested to test the Reaper changes for Necro after work :#

    Buff Power Reaper

    As expected, absolute garbage.

Wow, thoughtful and useful input. /s
If you are gonna comment just to complain with no input, why comment at all?
I think some of the changes are good. Especially the much needed nerfs to warriors and spellbreakers for wvw. Mirage will hopefully be easier to play now without trying to fix my camera every time I hit a skill besides auto-attack. As for the Reaper shroud buff, I'm hopeful it'll be as good in game as it appears number-wise.

  • I'm seeing a lot of stuff that sounds good here, at least in theory:

    • Buffs to the rewards given by open world PoF play.
    • Opening up the raid meta by limiting reliance on Druid GOTL and warrior might.
    • PvE only scourge buffs to DPS and fat buffs to power Reaper performance (without killing condition reaper).
    • Mounting no longer kicks rangers out of beastmode and buffs to soulbeast stances/shouts.
    • Potentially huge changes to Rev in the Invocation line (albeit slightly odd from a high-concept perspective).

Not quite garbage, am off to test out some of the Soulbeast and Rev changes to see how they feel.

You are aware that one of the reasons Druid was taken instead of heal ele was GOTL right?

Prepare to be disappointed. They nerfed shroud drain really hard. The time you can stay in shroud (especially if you are getting hit) has decreased enough so that the added damage on the shroud skills actually have you hitting for less now than you were yesterday. Hard to dmg your opponent when you cannot stay in shroud.

I am a little sad that Fire For Effect got a little nerf. :c

A good player can succeed with whatever is meta. A great player can succeed with whatever they want.

Indeed. The problem I am referring to is the fact that Druids (as well as Chronos and PS) are so popular and so widely expected in raid/fractal comps that it makes it harder for other specs to see use. Toning down some of the uniqueness of the buffs these classes apply may help to give other specs a chance to shine and thus promote build diversity. In theory, at least - this will all need testing.

  • I'm actually somewhat disappointed that it's gonna be even more of a pain to run on my warrior in wvw now. Time to start getting used to my necro.

  • The condi love from Anet continues as does their lack of concern for WvW their skill changes make.

I don't expect much from balance patches and they always deliver on that.

    My favorite patch note:

Several items can no longer be used in combat, by level-1 characters, or in the tutorial instances, as they can block player progress through the personal story.

I like how combat, level-1 character and tutorial (not even sure what that is) are all lumped together in the sentence, so they can say "oh, we're helping you not mess up your personal story", when really the "level-1 character" change is about how awesome and speedy it was where you could effectively 'skip' that first part of the story (as a seasoned professional, mind you) and move on with the 10th level story (after walking back out to finish it and insta-level to 2 and reading some writs) as fast as possible each week to get our free key and move along with our days. No need to mince words. That is why it was awesome. :)

    Favorite missing patch note:

We changed Safely escort the funeral procession to the Necropolis quest so it, like, is actually doable without waiting around for hours and needing way more people than are willing to wait around for hours and having 75% of the casket health gone by the time you get there...to uh, help you not block your personal story! Yeah, that's the ticket! ;)

In the event I don't get a chance, thank you all for the company and help when I needed it from time to time.

Except that what it has done is meant that one of the classes that is most used in raids is going to be used even more. The ele.

  • kitten, I salvaged by elite class reward gear. Would be nice to get a Viper's for my Renegade.

Nothing to address (or even recognize) all of the complaints about POF aggro and/or re-spawn rates.

I am a very casual player.
    Very.
    Casual.

  • New collections... I checked them out. Collecting armors and weapons I don't like for rewards I don't want. I don't think so.

Yeah, make all 16 Mordant Weapons to get a choice of recipes for an ascended Harrier weapon... not even an actual ascended harrier weapon. Hmmm... seems a bit kitten.

Has anyone seen the "overhauled" rewards for Serpents' Ire or Junundu Rising yet?
