As you can see, the most beauitful, sexy, and awesome armor which I assume was originally created for the light armor weight professions, (Scholars, but heavy Mesmer vibe-feeling)
This dress can be seen by human NPC nobles. This dress can also be seen in older GW2 videos, teasers and trailers as players are equipping this dress.
Even the Mesmer profession's model is wearing this dress, yet we cannot use it while it's still in-game!
Why haven’t this armor been released yet?
I was so sad and disappointed when GW2 was released and this armor wasn’t among with it.
I've been suggestion this masterpiece to be an actual release ever since GW2's launch, from time to time and many, many others has supported me and even created their own threads/posts about this request of this armorpiece.
I have two solutions on how this armor can be added to the game. (Note this is only human and maybe even norn armor, probably according to the profession's models.)
The first profession model is a Norn mesmer and the second one is a Human mesmer as you can see here,
I'll split up each colour pattern for each armorpiece, excuse me for the confusing colourshapes, I'll explain below here.
Armor for light weight classes/professions.
The chest part will have 4 different colour patterns.
The gloves part will have 2 different colour patterns.
The legs part will have 2 different colour patterns.
The footwear part will have only 1 colour pattern.
Here's a few examples of how the colour patterns will be like.
Outfit for all weight classes/professions.
Since outfits can only use 4 colour patterns, here's how the different slots will be used as.
Sorry for the confusing colourshapes on the pictures, I tried my best to explain as good as possible,
Please let me know down below what you think and hopefully we'll get ANet's attention on this long-lasting suggestion.
Thank you for reading,

As for the outfit solution which will be difficult to render and re-design for the other races, this could be a racial/culture outfit, similar to the wedding outfits.
That could get some backlash though.
It was just a suggestion. Since this armor was originally (I guess,) only for Human and Norn.
But I am all for having this fine armor for all races and alternative male version of course.
This outfit was featured heavily in the pre launch teasers and I am also disappointed that it has been relegated to a very few NPCs only. It is ingame, could be ported to Sylvari easily, and male added with perhaps a Faren's or Caudecus outfit style. As far as Charr and Asura go, it would look terrible on either and they could get the standard unisex outfits they get from all other human shape-centric outfits. That is a given when you pick the races.
Centuries ago, I saved Tyria. I've since realized that it is, in Arthur's words, "a silly place".
Yes, I know right!? You were able to see human players wearing it, and we still havent seen it since pre launch teaser trailers, which breaks my heart.
Sylvari indeed could be ported this armor, and the rest you said- I agree with you!
Honestly this was the outfit that really drew me to the game when the trailers hit. Having played GW1 and knowing the combat was going to be very different I was kind of put off until the trailers hit and I saw that outfit. This is the kind of fashion, as a woman I need in the game. Corsets, stockings, heels, leather, straps and studs are all things I'm attracted to for game fashion, why it's never been made available for purchase is beyond me. It's very hard to find a simple corset/skirt/heels without a bunch of extra additives. Stuff like that outfit or a pair of tight leather pants with knee/thigh high boots and a corset and other more "realistic" fashion options would sell pretty well, not everyone likes so much extra in clothing options. Some of us really love more toned down 'traditional' options.
There really isn't a huge selection of "basic" clothing everything either has a high shine aura, super formal or has all kinds of extra gaudy attachments added randomly that covers up a large part of the actual outfit. That outfit and anything similar would be a day one buy for me.
I'd personally also like them to add more hairstyles like the top right picture. We barely have any fuller, curly or long hair choices specifically for humans and sylvari. Too many hairstyles are short "I'd like to speak to the manager" haircuts we barely have any long, luscious locks in game. I'd rather work around armor and outfit sets to avoid clipping rather than have no long hair choices on human females. I'd even settle for the high pony tail option if they'd add one that lowered it to be 'down' and add some form of bang to the forehead so it wasn't all face. Totally have been dying to fire staff 5 and have my ele's hair touch the ground!
If it comes, it's gonna be outfit. Just like they dealt with Anise's gorset.
Like this but not green lol 324px-Mesmer_Elite_Rogue_armor_f.jpg They did it in GW. Even the noob mes armor in pre was thigh boots, tighter pants and shorter tops.
Frustrating, as this armor the OP is picturing simply shreiks Femme Fatale in a classic manner. It did set the tone for what I thought the GW2 mesmer would be and they just failed to come through. Simply sexier and deadlier than the GW2 armors showing off a LOT more flesh.
Centuries ago, I saved Tyria. I've since realized that it is, in Arthur's words, "a silly place".
Yeah, that would look great on my Charr!
I couldnt say it better, we are 100% alike on this matter. I agree with everything you wrote here!
I had the same story regards the dress of the pre launch trailers just like you, along with that beautiful curly hairstyle on the top right.
Hopefully we'll see this amazing dress and the hairstyle soon enough... it has only been 5 years late,
Would approve, as long as it doesn't become an outfit. I'll always support mixing and matching and variety.
I won't lie, I've wanted this dress forever. And I will take it anyway I can get it armour or outfit.
I'll take it anyway I can get it as well. If it's an outfit I shall abuse it by putting it on a Ranger or two.
Centuries ago, I saved Tyria. I've since realized that it is, in Arthur's words, "a silly place".
I'd like this for some of my toons too!
I would love the outfit too.
I would like that dress on my male mesmer too.
This GW1 armor is what I want for my mesmer.
Seriously, they need to add more variety of armors to this game. No more trenchcoats for medium. No more skirts for light. We want tight pants, knee high boots, high heels, corsets, and more. Variety is the key.
Anet also needs to get their high heels design straight. The ones already in game are, well... horrendous, I'd say.
Side note: I find it ridiculous how they managed to make legendary medium jacket a short top while out of combat, yet in combat it still becomes an enormous, ugly coat. This is insane.
Being pure badness since 2012.
I am annoyed by the lack of mesmeresque armour in general. I liked the masquerade x domme aesthetic they had in the original game. Especially the ability to wear pants instead of exclusively skirts.
when they said before launch that every single piece of armor and clothing can be used by players i was overjoyed, when i found out they lied i kinda lost faith in Anet....still do.
the truth is harsh, my opinions are too.
Yeah I agree. There is not many light armor that suits for Mesmer as I was hoping too to.
And just like Sorudo said, back in the old days before game release, ANet said and confirmed that players could equip everything NPCs are wearing. I was overjoyed too since they have some really awesome skins/clothes.
This still hurts me whenever I am seeing NPCs with clothes I would die to wear, such as the "saucy dress" as I posted above. That's my favorite clothes of all time and I am still hoping for it's release to us!
Datamined confirmed that older Town Clothes tonic will be re-model into outfits instead. This could be great as they might implent more "Town Clothes", specially this dress.
But who knows really, this could just effect our already used tonics, not unreleased armor/skins like the Mesmer dress above here...
ANet, why cant players equip NPCs armors/skins/parts ? Their models are already in-game and the colourvarations is also added to the armorset.
It could very likely be an outfit.
Yes, some NPCs should stay unique of course but for an example, Queen Jennah's dress (note that B-day vendor is also wearing the same dress but other tint), human villagers and nobles, Sylvari, Asura, Norn and Charr villagers clothes. It could be sooo nice to have some more racial styles to choose from.
Yes, not just the elegant or slinky stuff. I'd love to have this outfit too. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/File:Anne.jpg
Or this "saucy farm girl" https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/File:Rancher_Linda.jpg
Centuries ago, I saved Tyria. I've since realized that it is, in Arthur's words, "a silly place".
I think someone linked the datamined ones and none of them is either that mesmer dress or that one light armour outfit I've seen npcs wear before sadly. None of the town clothes they shown looked like something I would want.
Been wondering this for a good long time now.
Yea I'd love to get this somehow. Stuff like this in general would be quite welcome
I'd rather keep going.. wherever the wind takes us
This really sucks! They have made beautiful well-quality and so many town clothes... for only NPCs!
Maybe back in the older days when we actual had a toggle for Town Clothes / PvE / PvP slots, more of these villagers' clothes were supposed to be released to the players, atleast according to many older pics of on how ANet showed off specific NPCs clothes in alternative colours.
I really hope now since we are getting our older tonics re-model into outfits, this could give them the idea of releasing unreleased NPC villagers clothes along with the mesmer dress above.
I would wear these all day long for my characters! 😁
I wonder what it takes to get ANet's attention,
Really want this
which current armor skins get us closest to that look?
First a little off:
The first Pic you show us is the reason that i picked mesmer: a women with a little illusionary sword in the hand, however no mesmer has a little illusionary sword... and i still hope they change sword 3...not the dmg...but the range...i mean depending where you stand (and the red line under the skill is not there) the skill 3 has a 50 / 50 chance to fail since it is ground based (or at least fells like it is, an uneven terrain and no clone spawns).... i still hope to get the chance to throw for skill 3 an illusionary sword with 900 range (just like thief dagger skill 4)..... nothing else should be changed just that....(CD, Dmg, Effect, swap function, all the same, just more range and an illusionary sword to throw, so that i get the feeling that a mesmer can be like THAT Picture)...
Now serious:
I really want these armor skins from the Pictures, they look soooo cool...
(i also hope for outfits for each class / profession...and these outfits should also change the look like cook or wedding outfit.....i mean ok every profession can equip the outfits but think of it: a thief or / and a deadeye outfit that change the look depending on wich class is wearing it.... cultural class outfits....my wish)
People have asked for this item countless times over the years. Anet is notorious for giving NPCs outfits/ Faces that are better than our current selections we can actually use. There are more than a few NPC's with Caithe's face for example. There are human NPC and Norn NPC faces that we do not have in selection. There are norn shaman outfits that we can't get that look better than anything norn can wear currently. We need more racially diverse outfits like the Wedding dress. I made a mesmer, hoping I could sport this look then once I learned it was locked and only NPCs get to wear the cool stuff, I deleted my mes.
So, Anet... Your game has become nothing but a cosmetic fest because that's the most interesting thing left for a veteran day-one player like myself.
Please, stop locking cosmetic content behind NPC's and give us those outfits. It's more money in your pocket.
You gave us a version of Countess Anise's outfit, you can give us this.
If it takes your designers longer to come up with racially diverse outfits, NPC-locked outfits that are actually well designed, I would feel more inclined to open my wallet. So far, alot of the outfits are basic, non-combat worthy, stiff and look good on the human races only.
Heritage armor (light) is the closest armor to look alike this beautiful saucy dress.
Only if they make an equally sexy/provocative version for male characters. Give me pecs and bulges. :P
Yes, of course! Whenever we'll get this outfit I hope for sure we'll get a sexy version for male characters too!

Or perhaps for male version, we would get this as ''Elegant Noble'' NPCs wear
These are beautiful aswell....

And while we're at it, here's what the other races could get for their versions of these cultural armor or racial outfits.
i want sexy speedo for my chars
This game needs more banana hammocks in general
I would love the Mesmer Dress in game!
....Looks at Arkantos’ Charr avatar...
FTFY
/grin
Be careful what you ask for
ANet might give it to you.

I like almost every single picture shared in this thread. I'll throw money at you, Anet!
I don't get ANet's fixation/fetish with women's naked thighs. Many female armor sets look totally kitten because of this (in all three weights), also with bosoms and butt cheeks being almost completely exposed. And the exceptions to the rule are usually sloppily designed for female bodies.

No more LW episodes, only Expansions and Side Stories, please!
ArenaNeeet, if you are so kind to tell your outfit designers to give us this, it will be a success!

You already gave us Countness Anise's armor / pre-launched mesmer outfit. Why not this one aswell?
Anet doesn't do saucy anymore, this is a 12 year old rating. Only at the beach can you see skin.
I totally agree.... ANET please have a look into implementing this & blessings to all from the pale tree!
I'd like more long dresses in general for light armor in this game. There are plenty of skirts and robes, but dresses are lacking. That's one thing I really like about WoW over GW2--there are tons of dresses in every variety for light armor wearers. Low-cut dresses, high-necked dresses, many lengths and cuts of sleeves, tons of colors, designs, styles, ECT. My Mage (basically an Elementalist) is constantly getting a new dress, because after being a GW2 veteran for so long, the variety of dresses and long skirts in that game never ceases to impress me.
Speaking of dresses... light armor females also lack pants. Seems GW2 can incorporate every weird buttcape, skirt, and loincloth variant imaginable... but simple pants and simple dresses don't exist.
The first Wars had plenty of lovely Mesmer armour, from my little slip dress to to my 'hot pant's from the kurzick stuff. I just wish the crafted stuff was a little nicer looking but ofc I understand why it isn't.

In GW1 Mesmers wear Lingerie in battle.
The new Elementalist outfit is super cute until you get to the feet...
Why do they always make cute outfits with one or two absolutely awful choices included?
Why the hell would you make such a gorgeous outfit then put her in bare feet? God it's hideous!
How could epic hero pixel bare feet be hideous?
