So all around, in general, most over powered class in game to date (6/9/18)? This is for ANET to see what the community thinks of the classes in where to help which classes and which ones need balancing, thank you! Be fair! Leave a comment on why you voted for who you voted and why you think the other classes are poorly excecuted in there design.

Lol 14% warrior and 85% mesmer as of posting. Sounds about right if someone throws a point in scourge.
Edit: My vote is specific to spellbreaker as its basically ez mode warrior.
Shield of Wrath: Reduced the cooldown of this skill from 36 seconds to 35 seconds.
Quality balance changes^TM
Mesmer is definitely the most overtuned
Mesmer is overtune. It is a hard but reward class , yes. But, it may be too rewarding with all the damage you can put out.
Now, core mesmer isn't op but the problems is the elited specialization.
I feel like mesmer can take on the role of assassinated people of thief and doing it better than thief. Also, there are many problem that hasnt been fix+ the bad balanced (instead of reduced the radius, they neft damage and increase cool down on sourge ss) make a lot of class in the game feel under perform.
Mesmer has everything

Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Good mesmers are nigh unkillable while also dealing massive damage in PvP. in PvE they always have at least one good meta build too. From what i've seen, mesmers are the one above all in most aspects.
mesmer, especially condi mirages are just absolute disgustig to fight against, sure they are having fun, but everyone else fighting against them just feels miserable. mesmer is just stacked with everything, they got it all, dmg, invuln, blocks, blinks, illusions to confuse, range and melee, did i forget something?
Mesmer, the class is meta every where .
Man it sucks so much that EVERYONE knows Mesmer is a complete gong show, and yet they just let it ride.
Mesmer by a mile for my vote
Who the hell voted Revenant? Where have y'all been?
It's the opposite problem of engineer/ele, which are both difficult classes to play, but get relatively little reward compared to mesmer.
The great god Lagki demands sacrifice!
elementalist weavers has way too high damage and needs to be bought into line.
Stealth needs to be addressed, find it funny out of all the class moans i hardly see much about the length of stealth some classes seem to be able to pull off.
Mesmer (mirage) hands down!

The revenant votes are trolling so hard hahahahaha
I'm not surprised mesmer is in the top. Mirage is just freakin NONSENSE. Anyone arguing against mesmer nerfs, I will automatically assume that you play one.
I do not necessarily think Mesmer is op. It is the most complete class, with multiple meta (if not over performing) builds in every game mode. You want power damage, condi, support, CC, mobility, literally anything, there is a Mesmer build that does it.
Poor guardian, my main, only got 1 vote 😝
Mesme, followed by Warrior. Others are quite far behind atm.
The problem is... you cannot balance an abomination. And this is what Mesmer became when it power-crept into Mirage.
There is only one way to fix it - the Axe and the Chopping Block.
(I'm sorry but no nerf bat is gonna fix that... thing.)

One thing. Engi seems way underpowered in this poll... hope they notice.
mesmer / mirage
Too many complementarities between phantasm, clones,blinding/confusion, stealth, f1-f4, Deception' skills, boon stacking. So many traits and skills are both agressive and defensive. You add stealth, blinks, close-gap, cc, Ellusive mind, mirage cloak, some heals/regen ; In WvW you can add the +40% endurance regen ; you have perma 3 clones, mirage cloak, distorsion/blur or stealth.
Even a beginner playing with Traiblazer or Dire can win half his fights rolling the head on the keyboard, and run away the other half.
2nd : Warrior /SB, in a good spot in all modes with few risk.
Mesmer used to be my main/favorite profession, but it no longer resembles what I started playing 5+ years ago. It's all spammy and twitchy now like some kind of magic-based thief.
Poor Thief, Mesmer basically does them better. Especially with Mirage and the addition of Mesmer 'stealth attacks'.
Sadly, it is true. I feel mirage discourage a lot of people from playing thief. It like playing a upgrade version of thief that doing almost everything better.
Dear gods that poll distribution lmfao
Only played PvE but mesmer is stupidly strong in comparison to other classes damage-wise.
Mesmer is so OP that even it's threads are cloning themselves.
Why'd you vote Thief then?
One would say it was a mistake.
Go figure it's Mesmer.
#nornmodeisbestmode
ppl who vote for warrior are bad mesmer mains that get stomped by spellbreaker
honestly its so satisfying seeing that most of us agree on how absurd mesmer has gotten
LOL buncha mes qq. guard hands down. has always had good pve dps, must have (repeat MUST HAVE) in wvw since the dawn of time, and has been in pretty much every single meta team in pvp.
pew~
Well.. before I played one.. I would have said a thief..
now that I have played.. I am going to say a Thief.
There are two kinds of Gamers, Salty, and Extra Salty.
Ego is the Anesthesia that dullens the pain of Stupidity.
Mesmer was the first 80, at first I couldn't stop playing it because it was like the god toons that devs and mods pull out in other games to mess around with the players. I stopped playing mine because it was like the god toons that devs and mods pull out in other games.... got a little boring, and this was before the last buff. I still pull him out every once and a wile because I like watching him pop 5 mobs in 3 seconds.
just because its needed because of the boons it can pump out doesnt mean its op, its just that hes the only one that can do it, and those boons are the only way to stay alive with the power creep thats going on, its not fault of the guard, hes just the only one that can provide what is needed
and mesmer is pretty much needed in any other gamemode aswell, even in zergs mesmer is somewhat needed, even if it was just for the veil, in roaming mesmer is alot stronger than guard
Mesmer. No matter how hard I think I find no way to beat them if they are half decent.
I haven't been to the game for a month or two. But i voted mesmer cause it's meta in just about everything. I check vote results.
Hm...guess my knowledge ain't outdated xD
All are overpowered
For WvW, one would think the Ele (my main) would be ranked higher based on the number of skill + wpn combos available; however, it's simply the case that the primary problem with the Ele mechanics is the conceptual approach to harnessing the elements and using the elements. The GW1 skills from Nightfall and Factions had much more "OP-ability" (remember "Searing Flames"?). In GW2, the Ele feels more like trying to play a warrior with elements instead of standard weapons (and with much less armor).
If a WvW squad were spec'd out like the Hero tab, the Ele would fill one of the accessory slots or off-hand weapon slot at best >_>
Mesmer is clearly the answer...
In PvP it's been very strong since Mirage, Chrono was still relevant.
In WvW it's also a very utilitarian class, and the burst potential is carried on from PvP.
In Instanced content, Chronomancer is one of the staple, nearly mandatory classes used across the board for it's support potential, and both Chrono and Mirage can be used for top-tier DPS.
In open world it's the most utilitarian class, being used constantly to skip content in Jumping Puzzles, it's only problem is a relatively weak AoE potential, but that's overcome by it's evasion and massive single-target damage.
You can't escape Mesmer basically.
Yep, Mesmer.
lol... just because of the boons. right. what about the insane heals / condi clears / reflects / overall tankiness. they are the linchpin in zergs. in roaming, guard counters mes lol. mes may be stronger overall but its kinda funny you bring that up. so mes beats guard in roaming, which isnt even a game mode, and guard wins pretty much everywhere else.
pew~
Can't tell if trolling because you don't want mesmer nerfed or just a bad mesmer player. Outside if WvW Chronomancer is the most wanted support class, period, and Mirage is like thief but better. Guardian doesn't really push into any other profession's territory in such a direct way. Sure Guardian is good but not OP good. Mesmer can just do some of everything.
so by outside of wvw you mean pve. ok.
you guys dont get it. guard in wvw and arguably in pvp as well, has been MANDATORY. has always had a spot in pve as far as i can tell. ok mes is really good support in pve, fine. mandatory in pvp? maybe, but just because of portal. in wvw? no.
this thread is about overall OPness not your tears or one thing or another, look at the big picture.
pew~
You're the one not looking at the big picture though, one is good in 1-2 game modes, the other is in -all- modes. Even by your own description as flawed as it is it makes a better case for Mesmer being OP than Guardian. It's not some fluke that almost everyone voted mesmer. What makes you think you know better than everyone?
Mesmer.
Game balance is actually a joke right now. I'm betting 75% of the dev team main mesmers, and the marketing team wants to keep them OP because their theme/visuals are unique to GW2.
Best tank: Mesmer
Best support: Mesmer
Best sPVP class: Mesmer
Most wanted fractal class: Mesmer
Both condi and power specs achieving 35k DPS: Mesmer
1-2? lol what are you talking about. core, dh, and fb have good builds in all game modes. can mes say the same? no.
pew~
I love the way mirage plays. Twitchy magic based thief sounds like a great description of them. They do need some nerfs, of course. I just hope they can maintain the feel of it, because it's one of the most enjoyable styles I've tried in an mmo.
My god that distribution of the poll is just..wow!
I really think they need to do a massive re-balance patch.. look at what skills could do around 2-3 years ago, and rebalance..well, everything. i know it wont happen..but it would be beneficial.
Ember Wandertooth(SB), Lucina Fallenflame(Weaver), Kianda Redpaw(Guardian), Kingslayer, Light in the Dark.
Why Guild Wars is called Guild Wars
I'd hope that all professions would get at least one vote on this. but it seems that the engineer is the only one without a vote. Poor thing. I don't think they're bad at all. I love my engineer. She's great.
As for Which one is the most? Obviously Mesmer. This isn't even a question. Its been this way since day one. Mesmer has always been in top 4 and usually between 1 and 2 and frequently taking the number one spot. Its got solid roles in all game modes and is dominant in most content you find them in. Their tool box is unique and they're hard to pin and predict. Their one weakness is their low condi cleans. Which they still have some, they're not as bad with that as revenant is, but knowing that doesn't always help you since they can be very difficult to hit and pin down.
Does this mean I think Mesmers should be nerfed? At the moment? No I don't. I think the other professions should be buffed to match mesmer's level. :P
