So I am light armor which is making this quite the pain. I played around in the wardrobe for a while with no great success, was just curious if any one can help.

I am looking for as close to possible of looking like a templar from dragon age inquisition. Any one who can share suggestions awesome!!!

The DA templar aestethic compares pretty much with heavy armor sets in Guild Wars 2, which is a bit of a shame, as it would totally make for a great battlemage look. I think the closest you can get with a light armor class would be using the Champion of Tyria outfit. :)

Wow, wish we had armor like that in GW2. Looks really nice. I'd love some general Templar armor looks.

Probably some kind of mix between Human cultural armor, Forgeman armor (Sorrow's Embrace) and Carapace armor (Silverwastes). Those are the "heaviest" looking sets for light armor classes, without getting into outfits and such, at least.

Alice Ryven, Alisha Kei, Baxia Tres, Caelia Flamestrike, Kiryka Darkwillow, Rikka Rowe, Tawni Rosemary, Thea Lux

  • Outfits could work too. Something like the Champion of Tyria outfit or Royal Guard outfit.

    Server: Sorrow's Furnace
Guilds: [DOA] Descendants Of Ascalon, [LOOT] Legendary Order Of Thieves
Characters: Black Hooded S\D Thief, Celestial Herald & Power Reaper

Post edited. I used the wrong armor type. Person above this post has a great video with some ideas though.

HoTW armor have similar shape so you could start with that. (seach koda in the wardrobe)
The bottom of sorcerer might look better than the bottom of HoTW.
Triumphant hero gloves (not the mistforged), seer, or dry bone gloves maybe?

    Maybe something like

    Light Dragonscale Epaulets [&CjobAAA=]
Glorious Raiment [&CgkWAAA=] or Ardent Glorious Raiment [&CvwVAAA=]
    Glorious Armguards [&CggWAAA=]
    Bladed Pants [&CuoYAAA=] or Sorcerer's Pants [&Cp4BAAA=]
    Triumphant Hero's Footgear [&CjMaAAA=]

They wear heavy armor, not light. They are not a mage profession. ;)

Have you tried the heavy armor look outfits?

These in particular (especially the first two):

Probably not quite fitting, but still worth a look:
    https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/White_Mantle_Outfit#Human (hmmm)
    https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Sentinel_Outfit#Human (too bulky, I assume)
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Timekeeper_Outfit#Human (could work without the helmet)

    From top to bottom:
Shoulders: Diviner Mantel, Elegy Epaulets, Exalted Mantel, Light Dragonscale Epaulets,
    Chest: Glorious Raiment, Radiant Brigandine
Gloves: Dry Bones Gloves, Seer Gloves, Triumphant Armguards, Warbeast Gloves
Leggings: Apostle Leggings, Ornate Guild Pants, Radiant Leggings, Seer Pants, Sorcerer's Pants, Trickster's Leggings, Triumphant Leggings
Boots: Ardent Glorious Footwear, Ascalonian Performer Shoes, Experimental Envoy Shoes, Illustrious Footwear, Path of Koda, Sorcerer's Shoes

Obviously some of these are not reasonable to expect you to have, or necessarily even be able to acquire, but unfortunately you're looking to make a look that goes outside the design of the type. Personally, if I were you, and in this case I am because this is how I got that list, I'd just open the wardrobe and start clicking on items until I got a look I was happy with.

I should point out that these are the names of the skins, and they may not correspond to the actual name of the gear that unlocks the skin. You'll want to look those up in the wiki.

    Tarnished Coast - Ranger (80), LB/S-D, Eagle/Wolf, Signet, M/S/NM |Daredevil|Ranger|Guardian

  • Characters: Iiri Ventari, Sylvari - Scourge; Ralistu, Asura - Mirage; Olaf Sifhalla, Norn - Dragonhunter; Jahin Vabb, Sylvari - Renegade; Shonek Alcazia, Human - Weaver (Tempest soonish).
Backburner: Englaka, Asura - Ranger. Ikotag, Charr - Thief

Try the inquest legpiece or the triumphant legpiece or the ornate guild legpiece that should fit very well for the legs. I‘m not ingame atm so can’t think of anything right now. Maybe try the ornate guild breatspiece and represent a guild that has a sword as emblem 🤔

Try this, with the right dyes on the details it should come quite close to the look you want & these skins are more or less easy to obtain.
    Shoulders: 'Elegy Epaulets'
    Torso: 'Glorious Raiment'
Gloves: 'Triumphant Armguards' (female uses 'Bladed Gloves')
    Legs: 'Ornate Guild Pants'
    Boots: 'Triumphant Footgear'
I used Shadow Abyss to preview it, if you dont have this dye already consider getting it now because it's cheaper than usual atm.
