Small suggestion, to add Loot Count badge in loot section, which is show how many of same item you currently have in your bag ( current not-full item stack ).
Sometime i wander around zones to gather some resources. And i have to open backpack now and then to keep track of how many resources i have gathered.
Look at this Photoshop pic. Left is how it is now, right is my suggestion, showing how many Iron and other stuff i currently have in bag.

You would need to make this a toggle option and have it off by default because otherwise clueless players are going to see that and think, "Wow, I found (1+2+3+4+5+6+7) 28 Iron ore!" then open a ticket when they think they are missing items when they open their bag.

The same kind of thing happened with Engineer's flame thrower. It counts as a continual cast so the numbers just grow bigger and bigger and it looks like you are doing SO MUCH DAMAGE but it's just adding all the previous damage to the small tick you get this time.

Everyone who mains an Engineer gets to experience the heart break of learning their super-awesome burner-boy build is actually kitten because of this.

Why is it that you have to complete the last two levels of HoT mastery just to buy a gift to make some of the Legendary weapons when you do not even need to have map completion and only need 23k karma to buy a gift for the Legendaries that came with PoF. To me this seems really unbalanced when all of the Legendaries after HoT give you a choice of using either one for the mystic forge recipe. Considering the number of them i think like 4 or 5 maybe are HoT only. I'm not saying that if you only purchased PoF and not HoT that you should be able to get them but if you have both it seems really dumb not to roll it back for those few. Not to mention the collections which are a pain but I really don't mind them. Also, some the Itzel and Nuhoch masteries like fighting the champion might have seemed like a cool idea at launch but really they are pretty useless. (I have played GW2 since beta so I'm not just saying this coming in late either.)

yeah in return Funerary Incense is timegated, you need to do hearts or farm 750 Elegy Mosaic for 1 leg.

  • New permanent contract for TP to Friend and portable fractal and currency vendors. A permanent total makeover kit as well would be nice maybe as an upgrade from hair stylist. Also certain tonics can have their effects stack but you wouldn’t be able to using the current novelties Mechanic. Makes more sense to have more slots for those not just for stacking tonics but for easier access to other toys and stuff. Currency exchange (Mag shards, LS currency or Relics) for core Tyria poi and Vista viewer.

Please let us store spice bags, insignias, intricate jewels, salad dressing, etc like normal ingredients
As a crafter who often uses discovery to rank up, my inventory often ends up clogged with a bunch of ingredients that I can't store but want to use later. Being able to store that stuff would be a great improvement.

Ability to Save and Toggle Between Graphics Profiles (ex. Performance VS Quality)
Having a way to save 2 sets of graphics settings and be able to switch between them would be very helpful for livestreaming and players without top-of-the-line computers to reduce stuttering. Personally, there are several settings I regularly switch between (resolution, FPS, and for meta events: shadows, textures, model quality) when I'm just playing VS livestreaming (or fighting world boss), so it'd be helpful to have a couple profiles, something that could optionally be key-bound for moments when you're in a big battle and sudden freeze/stutter makes it hard to even drag the cursor up to the gear icon to turn the settings down.

    Custom Particle Effect Settings:

    @Carighan.6758 said:
    Implement a user-customizable spell fx show/hide filter
This would allow us to clean up the often very confusing combat. Not upscaling effects on large enemies has helped a lot already, but the biggest hurdle - the mess of colors and circles and areas whenever 2+ players are firing off their skills - remains. Such a set of options should ideally offer the following options:

This post had great suggestions, and if combined with options to turn off other particle effects (ex. auras surrounding mounts), could probably save FPS, especially during really crowded events (world bosses, festivals) that sometimes cause the action to stutter even with other graphics settings turned down.

    Fix Stacking Problems
Another user mentioned a problem with dragging and dropping not merging stacks in the Inventory. I thought this was just some restriction on not merging harvesting tools. Whatever the case, please fix this.

    Name Mounts?
It'd be nice to be able to name mounts like Rangers name pets. I call my Reaper's pink-rosettes-on-blood-red springer Viscera. :D

Add upgrade extractors to the hero panel like the transmutation charges.
Add a right-click menu to crafting material that shows in which recipe it is used. I am thinking of this like the container preview.

How about adding some kind of indicator that shows with a glance that when you inspect a book of recipes you looted whether you know all the recipes or not.

It is annoying to go and check them one by one if you cannot remember if you had the items.

Was just going to say the same. This is a royal pita. Better still, don't drop a book if I've finished it. It's useless. Even better still, drop a book with something I haven't finished.

I am interested in getting even more GW2 accounts. However, one thing that really discourages me is that I have to constantly type in my email address and password for each account every time I switch. Is it possible to get a launcher that stores multiple accounts so that I can switch accounts at the click of a button?

I'd like the ability to buy more ingredients storage space for cheaper but for selected 5 ingredients by me or something like that. There is like 5-10 ingredients that you get thousands of, and 90% of them you get only like up to100 playing for a year.

I'd like more hairstyles and faces available.

I wish LFM informed people if map is full.

Smaller&cheaper or just smaller guild halls possible for tiny guilds would be awesome.

kitten yes. Gobblers take care of SOME of the bloodstone dust/empyreal stars/dragonite, but there's other stuff like t5 mats that I bet everyone has a ton of. This would be great. It can still be a gemstore item like the regular storage upgrade, just way cheaper and applicable to one slot only.

Add some sorting/grouping options to the wardrobe for armor, back items, and weapon skins; and also add a favorite option. Example: glow effect, bare arms, no cape, weapon set, animation, etc...

It would also be beneficial to have a hover or group option on the exclusive set rare dyes. This is especially true now that birthday gifts are coming with dye unlocks.

Make Essence of Luck a currency item for central Tyria the way the Living Season maps have currency items. A lot of people have maxed out their magic find, (I am not one of those yet), and there are only a few recipes and guild upgrades that use it.

I have purposefully not maxed out my magic find because I dread what will happen to my bank space when I do.

I'd probably boost some to max and end up spending a lot more than I would for what is offered now - ight now it feels like a waste so I don't want to buy it, when Im going to "throw away"/never use 90% of it. It's like buying the whole car just to get comfortable and pretty armchair.

I'd love to see more emotes added to the game! There are a few character animations I've seen that don't have commands associated with them, for instance the character holding their hands up slightly in a mildly surprised 'Wait a minute' manner (The commander even does this during the first part of episode 4). Along with drunkenly standing, and maybe some other animations not currently accessible to players, these would be fantastic for RPers.

  • Guild Slot Expansion. Can be a BLTC item, gives you 4 more guild slots for like 800 gems. So you can be in up to 9 guilds. I know of people at least in the WvW scene who want to be in more guilds than they have slots for atm.

  • Dye-able backpacks (So we can finally match glider colors) and weapons. Even if you only do legendary weapons to make it one of the perks, that's better than nothing.

  • A remastered Guild Wars 1 and combine it with Guild Wars 2 than rename it Guild Wars 2gather. I feel it would give new players a real sense of history within our gaming community. Than offer monthly subscriptions for veteran bonuses that add like being able to roll-back dailies to the previous day because life happened and wasn't able to get it that day. Monthly amount of Gems and a reduced pricing on BLTP for things that are bought while in veteran status. Could even give it where your Guild Wars 1 account has more of the added bonuses for being a veteran player.

New type of weapons like: crossbow, halberd, whip, twinblades, etc...
A option to show in the screen fps and ping (i hate to open the options to see that).

  • castlemanic.3198castlemanic.3198 Member ✭✭✭✭

Treat mount, glider and outfit dyes like armour dyes, where each skin keeps the dyes selected (for example, if i choose to have say the monk's outfit all permafrost and then swap to the arcane outfit, I don't want the dye choices to carry over and instead I want my arcane outfit to, when selected, have all the dye channels be shadow abyss, just as an example). This would make swapping between outfits slightly more practical for those of us who have different dye preferences for individual oufits.

In tandem with the above suggestion, have the preview window for gliders and outfit 'show original dyes' like with the mount selection, and have an option to dye locked gliders, outfits and mount skins to help make more informed choices (there have been mount skins i've gotten where i've hated the original dye scheme but loved them after dying them differently, having the option to preview not only other mounts but also gliders and outfits with different dye schemes would have me purchase way more outfits if i could dye them to my taste before purchasing).

Whataboutism is disingenuous at best. If you join a debate and provide little to no proof when the other side provides lots of evidence, you can't then declare yourself the winner of that debate.

Suggestion: Easier to obtain a low (blue/green) tier celestial (+x to all stat) gear version for discovering a profession's specializations.
    Dear ArenaNet.
I love the freedom we get to play the game you want to play. I have no (more) goals in GW2, except for having a good time with others. The World Boss Portal Device was a great addition btw!

But one last point is getting to know my toons better. I'd really love to have a low (green?) tier basic jack-of-all-trade gear set, where no specialization has more benefit because it has higher stats. I have no interest in dungeons/fractals/raids. The world itself has plenty of good stuff to offer.

I'd like to discover my toon instead of working to gear that matches the skills first. I'd like to finetune the way I enjoy a profession the most, and that means alot of switching. imo Having gear outfit that doesn't benefit any stat/spec is a great start to find out the way you like to play.

I know there's plenty of builds online. You adjust your settings to these builds because they say that it's good. But does it feel good to me?

But my final request of haveing freedom in GW2 is having low tier +x to all stats gear. Let the players discover their own unique playstyle in the open world PvE area's. Right now it's too much gear switching combined with specializations.

I'm happy with Celestial/Wupwup gear, but I'd be even more happy with a low tier blue version so I can get straight to learning a lvl 80 toons possibilities instead of spending weeks (Quartz Crystal creation cooldown) on getting a full celestial set.

I would like a view option on the story journal that will show you a path track for the current character or across all characters. It would be really great to be able to see which story paths you chose, or which path for the specific story you are currently on (original, living world, HOT, and POF).

Doing some kind of view for the paths you chose will help players who want to work on story content together figure out which characters to match up. There is nothing story wise more frustrating than going through a whole section and not getting credit on your character.

    1. Could you please make a button "sell all the minor/major sigils and runes" to the merchants or add them to the junk? (the improvement of salvaging helped a lot, but...) I salvage a lot and selling these tiny annoying things is extremely annoying since they are useless to me mostly and too cheap to sell at BLM. I'd rather get rid of them in one click.

    2. Maybe it's because I'm quite a sensitive person, but the way charr move in their default - four legged position makes me feel a bit nauseous. I'm VERY sensitive to bad FOV and playing with a charr gives me similar feelings. As if the surroundings moved too slow to how the charr does. Maybe it has to do with the camera and them running on all fours, different to all the other races. I'd like to play with my charr more but feeling slightly nauseous or having to use a mount all the time is tiring and annoying in a long term.

    3. Could you somehow prevent some rare and soulbound weapons to be automatically salvaged when "salvage all the rares" is used? I destroyed a few pieces of weapon this way already :disappointed:

      1. PLEASE make the Beetle more maneuverable when it's in high speeds!! Also, why there is no looong, nice race track for them yet? I'm sure everyone would be happy to chase on something that actually lets them to feel the air and speed without a need of constant worry if we're going crash into a rock : ] The dunes in the Crystal Desert are great for that, but that's mostly it and they're a bit too small area... Even a tiny bush, or crazy, a misplaced sand shark can stop me from enjoing the ride :(

Why BOW don't have STRING ?!!! We can even see them on items arts! Just check it out! Our character when used a bow is basically a fool trying to catch a non-existent string, seriously, wth? • I made a separate post and was told to bring it here because it seemed fairly QOL related.
But I am doing this one on my phone so I apologise for the possible spelling errors because I may fat finger the typing area.
    Here goes:

Are you someone who sometimes likes to dedicate times to just go out into the world and collect those achievements? Getting points to show how far and wide you have searched for things and to show off what you have fought or participated in.

As any achievement hunter knows, the nearlt completed section can be a pretty great blessing until the section is only suggesting PVP achievements from when you did play it more often but you are more in the mood for a PVE achievement. To find one, you have to seek them out yourself. This seems pretty inconvenient considering the system already can pick out close ones but it just falls short on recommending one you might like.

    To this I suggest:
TABS TO THE NEARLY COMPLETED SECTION.
    All - PvE - PvP - WvW

It would be nice to see what collection or creature slaying I can do next instead of seeing the two PvP guardian achievements that I have sitting there that I just don't want to do because I am not much of a PvPer, especially nowadays and my Guardian is no longer going to secure me wins anyway because I am a shameful mouse ability clicker and that means I can't finish the achievements.

It would be great for collectors to be able to sort out trading post items that you already have unlocked (like minis, dyes, and gear). Trying to sift through pages and pages of dyes and the like is irritating just to find the ones that you don't already have.

I've looked many times in the past for an option of sorting like this, and have yet to find one, so please let me know if this is already available and I'm just overlooking it.

    1. Personally, I'd find it very useful if GW2 had a 'quick stack' option like Terraria has to move items from your inventory into your bank (the bank bank, not the material bank) if those items are already in there. For example, my bank contains tomes of experience, scrolls of experience, black lion chests, etc. Over time, these drop into my inventory as loot. Currently, I visit the bank every once in a while and manually move these items from my inventory to my bank, onto their respective stacks.
What would be useful is a feature I can click somewhere that would automatically move all those items to the bank if they already exist in there. I wouldn't mind if it were part of the 'Deposit materials' option or a separate option on the inventory options menu, or an option on the bank, as long as it were an option somewhere.

    2. Speaking of depositing materials, I also wouldn't mind if there were an option to automatically deposit all materials from my inventory AND compact the inventory in one step, as these are the two most frequent actions I do in managing inventory and I always do both. Currently, it's click-options-menu-then-click-deposit-then-click-compact. A simple icon on the inventory header that does all three clicks in one would save me from an RSI riddled future.

    3. Or, alternatively, if there were a flag I could tick (defaulting to off) which would always compact on deposit I'd be happy with that.

    4. Or, building on the above, it would be even nicer if there were a flag (off by default) I could set to automatically deposit and compact on ANY materials coming into inventory I'd give you my firstborn. I know others are happy to see the loot in there, but I'm fine with watching the loot scroll up the side of the screen to see what I've received.

    5. Building even further, it would be fabulous if there were an option to automatically consume luck if MF < 300, defaulting to off. I'm working up to 300 MF so I'm constantly consuming any luck that drops.

    6. Do the bank tabs have any compact option? I don't remember seeing one. It would be incredible if the bank could be compacted. Once you've got half a dozen tabs it starts to get hard to keep track of how many stacks of what items you have.

    7. And, of course, when you click F near the bank vendor the bank should take precedence over any common NPC standing nearby whose only line of dialogue is "hello". If I ever want to talk to Mr One-Word-Vocabulary, I'll select him.

    8. P.S. It would be useful to be able to consume a number of tomes of knowledge in bulk, as I do when I do a key-run. Currently, you double-click each one and have to respond to the dialog that pops up. If there were an option in the Tome's drop-down menu like "Use " that prompted you how many you wanted to use (or for simplicity just an option like "Use 10" because level 10 is what a toon needs to be to get that black lion key in the personal story) and it used up that number of tomes with only one confirmation prompt, that would be AWESOME. Of course, I'd still have to go through all the level-up prompts from those icons that build up just above the map, but at least the process would be a little smoother.

  • Selected novelty icon in the icon box of the Novelties tab on skill bar

At first I thought there was something wrong with my UI when the icon box of the Novelties tab on skill bar didn't change no matter which novelty I selected and it was the same gray diamond on black background icon for everything and I even contacted support about it and was informed that there was nothing wrong with my UI and that it was the intended design. I was surprised that something so obvious wasn't even implemented. I understand that there are key-binds for each novelty types but I don't use those so it would be less annoying if I could visually see which item I have selected as active and which would activate when I press my "Equip/Unequip Novelty" hotkey.

Dungeons hell yeah - just up the rewards to be more than now and still less than fractals (dungs are easier after all) and hit that diminishing returns button hard. Actually you could implement the same daily chest and valuable junk item systems, just add junk items that are worth less or drop less frequently. A typical T4 + recs run nets around 12-20g in my experience. That's six "paths". So by that logic, if we look at the worst case scenario, one "path" nets 2g. Well, how about awarding the player with junk worth around 1g per path. That's 3g per cleared dungeon. Right now, Arah is the only one with that sort of rewards - I think all of them should be around that number, and Arah a bit higher. Or something, I'm no economist, let alone a virtual one, but dungeons just seem so unrewarding other than the joy of completing them, that is.

Also - new race? One word: Largos. Though I think that might be a touch too kitten for Tyria to handle.

Gw2 s next 2 big development should be
    1 - WvW Alliance System
2- A new race ( its about time , game is big people need this )
Also show some love to dungeons , searching for party from different maps (like pvp queue) would be quite usefull , if u dont want to give more dungeon content , just make it more viable so people cannot be able to say that its dead

I mean, 35s for clearing a dungeon path is just... pathetic. I'm no economist, let alone a virtual one, but dungeons just seem so unrewarding other than the joy of completing them, that is.

Also - new race? One word: Largos. Though I think that might be a touch too kitten for Tyria to handle.

A simple "only show locked" function or filter would do wonders, I agree.

It would also be nice if they just removed the possibility of Dungeons being contested. It honestly makes it so frustrating to want to do a dungeon and they are just always contested. It makes getting a party during events even worse than it already is.

SUGGESTION: Add an option in Settings for how in-game mail should be accepted.
    * Accept mail from Anet/Game Only
    * Accept mail from Anet/Game + Friends
    * Accept mail from everyone

The reason for this is pretty simple - some malicious user could make a RMT and have the gold sent to someone else's account in an attempt to get them banned. The person the gold was sent to is a victim and there's nothing they can do to prevent this from happening. By default, I think the setting should be "Accept mail from Anet/Game + Friends". However, there should be away to tip people in-game (such as tipping mesmers for helping with a Jumping Puzzle, or tipping Commanders for leading a squad), so the option to accept mail from everyone should be available (unless you implement a new way to tip people in-game, such as with a /tip command with a maximum tip of 10 gold).

A couple good example of these malicious attempts can be found at the following links:

UPDATE: Another option would be removing items/gold from mail entirely (except mail from Anet/game) and bring back the trading system (like from GW1) where players have to meet with each other and "trade" to give each other items/gold.

  • I know i mentioned it awhile back, But I would love to see some GW1 items appear into GW2. Call it historic wearable cosmetic items like : Tengu Mask , elite Dance emotes (disco ball anyone) etc. Id literally sell my Ele soul for the old school dance emote (shake it baby) & to see some masks and items come back .

Before receiving a mail, have a confirmation message with the name of the author of the mail asking if you want to accept it , ignoring and deleting it or block further mail from that author + deleting it.

And ASAP: Unability to send a mail to an offline player/ marqued as invisible player.

@Kencussion.9273 : you should add "only accept from game", because even your "friends" can backstab you.

Removing the soulbound aspect of non-crafted Guild Weapons. Only made the mistake once myself but saw a couple more threads show up on reddit.

Removing the soulbound aspect of all 24 and 28 slot bags/boxes/packs. I'd make more of them if I could put them on any character, slowly and surely instead of just ignoring them until I have the megabucks to buy the necessary runes to make a 32 slot bag straight away to avoid the soulbound aspect.

Doubly annoying for the Olmakhan Bandolier which has an accountbound Masterwork 20 slot and Ascended 32 slot but the rare 24 and exotic 28 both have the soulbound on use aspect. WvW could also do with upgrade recipes for WvW satchels and maybe the Halloween ones too.

For next Halloween; a Greatest Gift of Candy Corn which turns the home node into a Rich Candy Corn Vein giving 10 hits as final upgrade to it.

And a similar upgrade or upgrade system for the quartz node to turn it into a rich node to give it 6-10 hits per harvest.
