Art Issues: Characters, Weapons, Armor - [Merged]

Item: Ghostly OutfitRace: SylvariGender: Male (largest body size)Profession: ReaperLvl: 80

I just got the Ghostly outfit from the gem store and I've noticed a weird bug with the flame "hair" - if you're standing in front of certain materials/effects, the "hair" disappears. It happens in front of things like portals, glass-like materials such as the jellyfish canopy in LA, the mad king doors, etc. I've posted some example images and a screen of my hero equipment panel. I messed around with my graphics and didn't get the "hair" to show up on any settings. It seems like the "hair" is either behind whatever is making it disappear, or it's just not displaying because it gets overridden somehow. Thanks.

The facial feature (long beard) for human males in the makeover window looks different than in game. In the makeover window (first screenshot link) you can see that the long beard is full and smooth, but in the actual game after you confirm the change (second screenshot link) the beard is partially missing and looks very grid like with little blank squares. It does not look complete like what is previewed in the makeover window from an aesthetician or from a total makeover kit. You can also see that in the selection window the beard already looks incomplete.

The jaw is dislocated from the rest of the head and as shown the the screenshot above it does not follow where the head goes. When drawing a greatsword for combat the jaw and lower nose stays unanimated and creates a disconnect with stretched textures.

Race: Sylvari (Not sure about other races other than male Asura)Gender: Female ( Not sure about males)Profession: Ranger ( Don't think that it matters)Issue: Polysaturating Reverberating Infusion

My other characters are male Asuras and I have only recently created a female Sylvari character and I noticed when I equip any of the Polysaturating Reverberating Infusions my hair would not be affected by these infusions even though my Asuras hair are affected by these infusions. I even noticed Human players with Polysaturating infusions and their hair are affected by the infusion so I guess the problem lies with Sylvari female. Please fix this issue.

Edit: I noticed this recently that it's probably all races but only certain hairstyles are affected. Some have the infusion effect and some don't. Regardless of race, I suppose.

Im not sure if this is a bug or what but with the new Mistforged Glorious Hero's chest I cant see a dye I put while other players do. Here is an example:https://imgur.com/dU35C8j thats how other people see me (light blue lines on the chest) and this is how I see myself with the same dyes applied https://imgur.com/Tr1wQbN (no light blue lines on the chest)ive tried puting other dye colours and its still the same thing... any ideas how to fix this?

I was super hyped to see new goggles and a scarf added to the game. I currently use the drytop ones on my engi charr. Upon trying them on in the bank though I was disappointed to see that it doesn't fit any charr face well at all. They just sit on the end of the nose and have a gap on the top between them and the eyes...

Why can't they be set back a little closer to the face? I understand that charr have some odd faces but I tried these on different ones and they all just sit on the end of the nose. While on other races they sit against the face. Wouldn't the goggles be sitting back from the nose of charr? The drytop ones extend too far out too but at least they covered the gap.

The scarf looks great but again doesn't fit charr very well. It has a huge gap around the body like it's just hovering on the charr instead of gripping the body.

I love the designs of these and would love it if anet could please consider tweaking them to remove some excess unneeded empty space on these skins.

The scarf has some weird animation when idle, it floats way too much off the back. It gets even worse when holding a weapon. I am glad anet finally added a long scarf into the game some tweaking and variety would be nice. The golden one is very shiny, like its made from shiny plastic or rubber; this one I can understand, some people like that style, but could the racing scarf have its luster toned down?

Hi, speaking on behalf of my friend Lyght.2965 since he doesn't use the forums.

So when we go to WvW the character models default to the basic human model for enemies, friends, everyone. All areas of the game are unaffected and he is running on a really good computer. We are trying to figure out what is going on. We tried doing autodetect in the graphic options, but that did nothing as well. This has been on ongoing problem for a while and re-log does not work neither does reinstall. Internet connection is good and ping is perfectly fine. If anyone has any suggestions from game devs to community, please send them our way and I will pass them onto Lyght. We have been trying to figure this out. Thanks!

Have you checked 'Character Model Limit' and/or 'Character Model Quality'? These will affect enemies, friends, all models.You could try the command line argument, '-prefreset'. You can read about it here: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Command_line_arguments

Thanks! I will pass this info on to him. We tried the Character Model Options and that didn't do much so we will try command lines tonight when we roam. Thanks again!

An issue I encountered a week ago when I made a new character. I used a makeover kit and what was seen in the makeover kit preview didn't match the in game resultsq9nnnjh.jpgThere is a noticeable difference with the hair as it looked more vibrant in the preview. Not exactly sure what caused this and sadly I don't have a Permanent Hair Stylist Contract to experiment with.

So for anyone else just be a bit wary of this hairstyle and its colors till anet adresses the issue :)

Asure, male, engineer, the cloth is the newbie engineer suit, the face is the premium face with a yellow iris from the store.
