Remove PvP from WvW

Thats all that needs to be done to have a vibrant PvE map.

Everything else is in place already, players don't want to fight each other anyway..

If you roam or kill anyone, you're a bad person and should feel bad is the general mentality now days.

The coffin is built, the lid is on and the nail is in place, hammer that nail in and be done with it.

As true as that is generally in WvW anyway, people getting tilted that you killed them, I think its also just more exacerbated now after the Warclaw update because there are a bunch of PvE players in WvW now that don't particularly understand the concept of a mode where its essentially "open world" PvP.

Even if you're alone, you're gonna get attacked and killed. By one person, by two, by three, by twenty. Just the nature of it. I can fathom a guess that most PvE players just don't get that and as such the salt will flow.

Just lock each home map, so enemies aren't allowed to go there, so they can take all their buildings and upgrade to tier3 and hold them, for a week, with no interruptions. They will be so happy, until they realize that nothing will happen on the map, and no one flips the objectives back, so they don't gain any actual wxp/activity.

So they'll sit there and wait for the warg to spawn, and pray the centaurs spawns so they can get a pip an hour.

Nah, people always mocked "roamers" who ganked zerglings, it is barely PvP so what it the point. The difference is years ago there were plenty of roamers / roaming guilds that provided decent fights so an actual PvP player who wanted to roam could get their fights against roamers. Now most of the PvE baddies who call themselves roamers pat themselves on the back killing a minstrel FB on the way to the zerg in something so one way it isn't even a contest and for an actual PvP player wanting fun, skilled, engaging PvP is pointless.

Most actual roamers either changed to play large scale with a guild, quit the game or went PvP, because roaming without the population it once had is simply so garbage you may as well be playing PvE.

It’s going to be required for the new WvW legendary chair as the gift of WvW. Requirements:

  • do WvW map completion
  • kill the grub 150 times
  • Kill the arboreal spirit 150 times
  • Kill the Wyvern 150 times
  • collection opens only after killing 100,000 guards and completing the skirt and centaur events 1000 times
  • ascertaining both the Blue Catmander and Yellow Catmander tags
  • Killing a legendary defender.

This is one of the most confusing post. Removing pvp from wvw removes the sole reason wvw players play wvw,open world group pvp. Wvw turned into pve would be the smallest most boring pve experience ever lmao. Now thatpve’s have came into wvw thier wanting pvp removed? Isn’t pve prevalent enough enough in this game?

Nah, you're not going far enough. Players should automatically have Tier 6 participation when zoning in, with no decay, so all anyone has to do is pick a map, stand at the spawn point, and collect Reward Track and Skirmish Chests. Additionally every tier of Skirmish Chest should also include a Thimble of Liquid World Experience, and Outnumbered boon should be made baseline.

Killing a legendary defender? Do you know a good hack (or at least a good exploit) for this?

On the other hand, I don't think the OP will see his request fulfilled too soon. First Anet will release more mounts in WvW. Then it will accept the actual mounts in WvW. And maybe then, they will eliminate PvP from WvW.
