It should never have 2 duos vs no duos but that's anet. Plus if you go on a team chat and have 2 or 3 2man teams click que at the same time. It accounts for who goes into the que at what time also.

That's how the wintraders use alt accounts with more then 1 buddy.

Would a premade of 5 bronze players beat 5 soloQ legends?

Anet has admitted in the past that duos have a harder time than solo players because the matchmaking will put them against way higher rated teams.

You lost because they outplayed you. Stop searching for a scapegoat, get good.

No, but it creates highly imbalanced experience when both teams have equal rating. The team with duo que is at an advantage. And games with duo que usually end up very one sided either for or against them.

Almost all other games either match premades against other premades or force the entire premade team to take the rating of its highest player. Trying to sell it as none existent issue is just ignorant.

No, Anet didn't. The algorithm just use the higher player's rating. Your claim is just false.

There's a reason why people aiming for the top flat out refuse to queue without a partner. I'll let you figure out why.

Hint: it's not because they want harder games.

Yes, they restricted DuoQ for people at higher ratings to "improve matchmaking at the higher ranks." I am 100% sure you're right, and they did those things, said those things, because those higher-rated players were having too tough a time being matched fairly in their favor.

This is definitely a get good thing. There's a lot to learn and a whole lot of fun to be had fighting two stacks of top players with uncoordinated golds and low plats.

Actually, it's because the games are extraordinarily difficult to win once you get into the top 10-ish.

Matchmaking expects those players to hard carry. So, it gives them very bad teammates to balance out the rating between the two teams. As a result, they are forced to play duo in order to have more than a sliver of a chance of winning.

If they lose, they will drop anywhere from 30-40 rating just because their teammates don't know what to do. Winning nets them 2-4 in most cases.
