LVL 80 Now what

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I started playing this game a couple months after it first came out. I am not in a Guild but I have 3 LVL 80 characters after playing on and off over the years. My question is I want to keep playing but am not familiar with the high level content. So where do I go from here? Thanks!

Have you...

  • Played through the Heart of Thorns story?
  • Played through the Path of Fire story?
  • Played through any unlocked Living World/Story episodes that you have?
  • Mastered an elite specialisation? Several?
  • Completed a cycle of "Map Completion" for the "Been There, Done That" title?

All of which can only be done at level 80.

Not to mention all the group content that's available for level 80s (top-end dungeons, high-tier fractals, raids), and so on.

EDIT: the above list is in no way exhaustive. There's more that you can do at level 80 than at lower levels.

I've reached level 80 not so long ago and here's what I've been doing =

-trying some level 80 meta events and world bosses (or any bosses I didn't encounter while leveling up)-doing the dungeons I missed while leveling up and the explorable paths-started to craft my first weapon now that the Silverwastes meta events is bringing me more material (just a cool looking exotic weapon for now)-bit of map completion here and there when I feel like exploring-trying to get achievements tied to mastery points so I can get that auto loot...only 3 missing.

It's just what I'm doing right now and I don't have 3 hours every day to spend into the game so it takes a bit of time already. But there are a lot more things you can do =

-PvP-WvW-Fractals and starting to craft ascended gears-Heart of Thorns-PoF-LW

Almost all of which I'm planning on doing except PvP and WvW (might try again at some point, but really didn't like the community in PvP and I'm more of a PvE player overall)

There are probably a lot more things to do but I'm a fairly new player so I'm am not aware of everything the game has to offer. I hope it's useful regardless!
