Got nothing but trash. I actually played less then I normally would have because the boss fights where just far to over crowded. Not even really a problem with the kitten drops as much as the event just was not any fun at all.

Well, in this thread alone, 2 people claim they got drops. Gemnaid.4219 and Musetti.7163. I don't think 100,000 people religiously follow the forums, but I could be wrong? Also for those two that got the drops, how many bosses did you kill? (The achievement will tell you.)

What new exotic pistol? I have not discovered any new skins at the TP.
Perhaps, he/she meant 'new' to them.
I got a couple of exotic weapons with a skin I had not unlocked before.
Also, a couple of Charms from salvaging Rare armor.
I did about 20? WBs, if that many...so far.

If they run events with random (and ultra rare) rewards that are the only special and valuable items among a long list of common, everyday trash, the % of people participating in them that will have a negative perception of such event will be equal to the % of people that didn't get any of the ultrarare special reward.
Special events should have special rewards based on participation, not on luck.
They should have both, but they deff shouldnt have ultra rare and expensive rewards tied to participation, unless the participation requirement are very very demanding at least.
Welp, so far no luck. However, since I have only done four rotations during the whole week, I don't feel cheated (like those who have grinded their hearts out). At least some of the boss fights are fun to participate in, so it's okay.
I agree that, when it comes to those new chests, participation in the event does feel unrewarding.
Nope but I wasn't honestly expecting to..
I have bad luck with RNG in general so I learn not to expect much from it.
That said I did get a lvl 80 exotic staff with choice of stats and lots of ecto from all the rares salvaged so it wasn't a bad week ^^
I didn't do it. Was not much motivated, and after hearing from guildies that they got nothing interesting, it kept me definitively away from it. The lack of interesting rewards seem to be a quite common feedback.
Nothing from the new event boxes, but can not say I've done too much, maybe only an hour every day. An EbonMane's box dropped from Teq, so there is that.
Naw. I didn’t do this event. I previewed the loot table and saw it was matts in the first section and infusions in the bottom section. I knew that the infusion drop rate would be “lol. You’re dreaming if you think you’ll get one” which meant it was only mats. Said to myself, ‘thanks but no thanks’ and did other things instead.
Be careful what you ask for
ANet might give it to you.
Terrible event. World bosses are very time consuming only to get absolutely nothing. I assume they kept the drop rate the same as the boxes from festival of four winds. Except with 4 winds I personally bought thousands of boxes with trash mats and globs, this event I only managed to kill a little over 50 bosses.
I understand that not everyone should get super rare drops, but other than the drops being too rare the boxes hold no value they added too many useless low grade items that serve almost no purpose but to waste our time. Anet fails to implement a proper reward system yet again, they needed to make this event reward you for time spent and bosses killed. As for the amount of infusions dropped I can only assume barely any because during the 4 wind festival chak infusion/confetti almost sold out on the tp to the several 10k orders, this event barely any sold AFAIK. I hope they take this as a learning experience to craft a proper and logical reward system based on time spent and not some bs RNG with trash tier 1 mats.
My interest in this event waned after about 5th or 6th boss kill. Sure if I hadn't killed them before or had all the achievements, yay and all, but as I do, it really wasn't worth the time.
But if this did expose new players to world bosses, something they might never have seen before because they don't know about the event timer, or weren't on the map at the right time, then I guess overall it's a good thing.
Even my 45 unid rares didn't give me a single exotic
The drop rate of exotics from unID rare is about 1-2%. Even if the rate was 3%, the chance of getting 0 exotics from "only" 45 would be over 25%

I got some good conversation and camaraderie.
I laughed, I cried, it was life changing.
wait.... you mean anything from the bonus boxes.
Yeah total bust, except for the fun convos.
No one from the 400+ member guild im in got anything rare, makes you wonder if anyone actually got anything from this event, and Anet just did this as a way to make people do world bosses again, im glad i didn't waste to much time with this event personally.
Don't say what you mean, it will get you in trouble.
@Gunslinger.7031 said:
Plainly speaking lackluster rewards for long wait time. You have two choices Anet, either boost the % chance of all rewards tiers by 100 folds (we all know super rare is < 0.0001% and the total number of people that got an infusion at the end of this event can be counted on one hand) and remove all the spores, monocles and tier 1 mats off the rewards chart OR you can just remove the super rare tier all together so you can save everyone's time from this ludicrous nonsense.
Your call.
As a follow up on my previous response, after opening a near full stack of the loot boxes (231), I must say these loot boxes are an example of a big waste of time. Thankfully, I was catching up on a certain TV series while doing these WB.
After opening:
So, for the fundamentals of improvements:
WB themselves take too long for example: Fire Elemental, Modniir, Mega Destroyer, and Shatterer. all have prerequisites and huge wait time of up to 20-30 min.
WB themselves are not engaging. If I can just watch something and press 1 without much attention to what's happening in game you have a problem.
2g spore skin and the three monocles in the super rare category. I honestly feel bad if anyone gets one of those, at least with the tier 1 mats you can somewhat shrug it off and say it's what you expected from the dice roll. But, knowing you had did land the winning die roll despite all odds and got one of those is a huge slap in the face.
Continuing with point 1 and 2. If it's not engaging and it's not rewarding, why should we do them? At least reward someone their time in alignment with current gold farms or at least half the gold-hour rate otherwise no one will do them. Considering this is only a week long hyped event, you-Anet- should take this is into much consideration or you'll soon start scratching your head asking yourself why your big events have less attendance than expected if you keep this up.

How many bonus boxes does that represent? 400? 800? 1000? With numbers "that small," I wouldn't expect any super rares. Based on other containers, the chance is probably much less than 1:10 000, perhaps even as low as 1:100 000.
For what it's worth, if everyone in your guild managed 4 bosses per day (an hour) for the 7 days of the event, that would be 11.2k boxes.
If the true rate is 1:10k, there's a 67% chance that you'd see 1 or more super rares ("around 1" is average)
If the true rate was 1:100k, there's a 10.5% chance of seeing at least one super rare.
And I'd imagine that most guild members didn't get to that many events.
makes you wonder if anyone actually got anything from this event,
Some people did. Just not that many.
im glad i didn't waste to much time with this event personally.
I managed 10 bosses, which is 11 more than I managed from October 2018 through April 2019.
Hype is the path to the dark side. Hype leads to unfulfilled expectations. Disappointment leads to anger. Anger leads to disgust. Disgust leads to "oh, new shinies! I'm back!"
This was a good event, but not great for rewards. But it was a good time to complete Boss achievements points and a good chance to receive ectoplasm.
PvP games were 10x more fun without all the PvE scrubs ruining it. I don't think anyone AFKed in those matches I played this entire week. Could have been more free to play PvPers didn't show up playing core classes only and tanking matches.
I think a simple way to improve the reward system for this event would be to give 1 free ectoplasm for each boss completion instead of 1 free rare unidentifed item.
Even though most rare items are salvaged into ectoplasm anyway, it would cause people to feel more rewarded for the time invested.
As far as the super rare category, after seeing a similar box for the fortune new year 2019 black lion chest, opened 60 chests with keys and only receiving the air breather rare item, I knew to not invest a whole lot of time into this boss event.
For me personally, I had fun, but only completed 20 bosses across the entire week. So I don't have that feeling of regret that most players may be feeling. Just be happy it was time invested instead of time and money in those super rare Fortune black lion chests/keys.
I got Rodgort's Flame from an UnID bag, though I can't say for certain if it was a bag I got from doing world bosses or if it was from something else over the weekend.
Even my 45 unid rares didn't give me a single exotic

Yeah, mf nerf really cost us. Sry if you misunderstood that to mean I expected an exotic. I was only answering the OP's question as to whether we got anything from the event. To which my answer was no. Then my even more complete answer was that I didn't get anything from the '2nd chance' loot of the guaranteed unid rares. Then my even more complete answer was that I did get two new skins from the regular boss loots

I was hoping to set expectations for the community about what they'd likely get from a few dozen rare unID boxes. There's a lot of confusion about it.

I play the game since 2013 - 14 and got one Dusk from Silverwastes. That's it. Mostly drops are trash. Rewards-wise this game hits rock bottom. Most other games are truly rewarding.
Not sure how many bosses I did, but I played them for hours and got jack. It kind of sucks that the event was a waste of time for nearly all of us. Even the gold per hour was terrible because the boxes were really only worth a few silver a piece, and took 15 minutes to earn.
Should've just stayed in the Silverwastes. I would've been better off.
