I'm not asking for a lot but...

PvP got good stuff in the latest update like:

  • Exordium has been added to the Tournament of Legends first-place reward box.

Can WvW have a quarterly tournament too and reward every one from the winning server with a precursor of their choice?Just a precursor you know. Not legendary weapon or anything.

And not only that but WvW is server based (World vs World, who would know ^^), while PvP is player based (Player vs Player) so you would have to award whole server, or even multiple servers now since we have server links (if not whole server than larger group of people)...Price of Legendaries would drop drastically then...

Over the years I have seen multiple Precursors drops in WvW since if you are pugging, you can kill a lot more players to get a drop than you can doing PvE events, so you have better chance of dropping one in WvW than PvE I believe (might be mistaken though)...

WvW players essentially get free mystic clovers from the final chest of the rewards track.WvW players earn mystic coins when they complete Gold/Diamond skirmish tracks.

I just completed Sunrise without 'gambling' for any Mystic Clovers, and spending next to zero gold on buying mats (other than buying a ton of mithril while doing Stage II of the precursor), taking it at a relaxed pace. I started just after January, but about a month or so ago I decided to pump the brakes and see what the new GS legendary would look like; turns out I don't like it, so made my GS last night.

Point is, all my materials were earned either in game / promoted in the forge, and all my clovers came either from reward track chests, or log in chests of loyalty. At no time, and I'm serious here, at no time was I ever 'farming' mats, as hate doing that. At all times I was playing the game, either doing WvW, fractals, HoT metas, all things I enjoy doing.

I'd say WvW is very helpful in legendary crafting, at least compared to those who only PvE.

I agree that WvW rewards are not the best (by far) but lets be honest - would we really want to have bunch of PvE scrubs running in WvW leeching for their precious golds and holding a queues on maps...WvW would become even bigger and more brainless karma train as it already is...

I dont do PvE at all (only few fractals here and then) - have joined SW meta event once because it was going on at the time when I was trying to get HoT map unlocked to get HPs - did it once and doubt will do it ever again, since Slot machines in Casinos are more challenging and more entertaining to me than those events, so would definitely fully quit WvW if all WvW maps become just SW with queues on map...

It's probably still there, just have to trigger it's spawn.

Could increase the yield of harvesting nodes inside structures (rich nodes or w/e). Perhaps tie rare crafting drops to them. There's certainly ways to go about that without increasing the number of nodes on the maps.

Anywho, the only time its noticeable that you're getting less value per hour of gameplay in wvw is when you're actively tracking it.Maybe you're working towards something in specific (such as the completion of a reward track) or you're a pve'er trying out wvw for profit -- you'll notice that you're not getting as much value. But as someone who plays the gamemode for the sake of the gamemode I make back more than enough to cover general expenses, and then some.

Another thought (I've mentioned this before) is a hefty diminishing returns mechanic tied to killing other players. That way the value of initial kills can be increased to something actually noticeable. Roamers would love this. Zerging/tag-'n-bag is hardly a high skill/difficult thing to do, but its the reason individual player kills are worth so little.

No prizes for "winners" in this gamemode please, Blackgate doesn't need more stuff and the other servers will fight to tank to "win" in the lower tier.

Zerging/tag-'n-bag is hardly a high skill/difficult thing to do, but its the reason individual player kills are worth so little.i certainly would love to get more bags in smallscale fights, but diminishing returns may kick in everywhere. id prefer to scale the loot based on targets you are in combat wich doesnt have to be linear. maybe in a way that you still gain same loot in a 50 ppl zerg as you gain now, while it scales up to ~5 heavy loot bags per solo kill.

We would need certain rules for these tournaments, so that the numbers of the participating groups are even.Of these multiple would be held through the season of war, or any other time frame.

In my opinion, creating tournaments, new ranks and rewards based on the outcome and even just participating, would be a healthy addition to wvw.
