Returning Player, help appreciated.

Hey all,I haven’t played since beginning of HoT and I had used the boost for a Necromancer. Now I am coming back to play PVE/PVP/WVW.

I am having troubles picking a profession.A little background I am a Veteran Guild Wars 1 play, as with WoW (ya ya I know).In GW1 I played an elementalist.I prefer DPS.That being said does Guardian have any good options? I enjoy survivability but also don’t want to be useless in raids and fractals.Please help. Any suggestion works. Guardian was just first to come to mind. I also like the looks of thief.

For fractals and raids, look at the builds on Metabattle to see if there are Guardian builds that fit your playstyle.

Ok. I did that. I guess my question is what is more...sought after. Preferably for all.

Guardians are welcome in pretty much any role they can play. They're one of the most well-rounded classes in the game atm.
