Narthex.3901
So as it stands right now, with the upcoming patch, Burning Rage will be granting extra condition damage + range and burning for Sunspot instead of a 10% damage modifier. The trait will also be moving to the master tier as a major trait, which means that it will be competing with Power Overwhelming as a choice for DPS builds.Since there has always been a clear distinction in condition vs power based builds, my suggestion is this:Instead of having to choose between 2 condition damage amplifying traits with overall very similar effects, it would be much better to roll the new Burning Rage changes into Power Overwhelming (with the numbers tweaked accordingly to avoid making the trait too strong) and to have Burning Rage grant extra power and improving the direct damage of Sunspot or allowing it to crit (as an example). That way, in my opinion, the 10% damage loss is somewhat mitigated and there is a meaningful choice to be made between 2 traits with more flavor than before, depending on the build.Thoughts? Legendofzelda.1278
I completely agree most the changes were good but that one did not make sense.
steki.1478
Power overwhelming should make might give less condi damage, but more power. It's something that a good amount of builds could use. They should also go a step forward with attunement based traits and make them present when you have elemental aura as well. For example piercing shards would give extra damage when you're attuned to water OR when you have frost aura.
zencow.3651
Burning Rage should just keep the 10% modifier against burning foes while also providing the sunspot range extension and burn and Pyromancer's Training should just keep its 10% modifier in Fire! As it is, Pyromancer's Training's modifier is just too unreliable outside of PvE.
bluberblasen.9684
just dont switch / change the traits.just give burning rage 10 % to burning foes + deals 180 condi damage to burning foes :)
Zunki.3916
They made a mistake on the patchnotes. Power overwhelming will be a power trait.

Yes.150 power while above 10 stacks of might, 300 while in fire attunement. So it will be the option for power dps eles, while burning rage is the best for condi/hybrid eles (or eles that solo and dont get 10 might often).Meanwhile blinding ashes is still useless. Blinding ashed cd should at least be on a per enemy basis instead of global. Also it should give another effect on top of that. Also, the 8s cd makes no sense in pve, maybe split balance it? I know it's never a good pve option but might help some newcomers for some dmg mitigation
