It would indeed be publicly accepted.

No one complained when it was all Herald, Holos, and Spellbreaker. Or even 6/10 boonbeasts.

That literally never happened.

Season 14 ended with 6-7/10 Boonbeast. Season 16 was 2x spellbreaker, 2x holosmith, 3x revenant, 1x soulbeast, 1x thief, and 1x Mirage for the top ten.

Funny thing is Herald at its strongest since POF release was maybe a 7/10 and it got nerfed recently to about a 5.5/10.

Double Herald is probably the first time 2x or more of a single build on an MAT since maybe the Phantasm rework left Chronomancer completely broken with super charged Phantasms+Chronophantasma+Signet of the Ether before that combo got slapped. And the nerfs at best simply nibbled away at the edges of it. It's fundamentally an extremely strong build.

Mesmer has never left being META across all its soecializations. It’s just the people who are actually good at it play the game in waves as they completely faceroll everything else and we are seeing it with some names returning to the leaderboard.

I never thought Mirage was bad. Simply that until the Chaotic Interruption+Mantra of Distraction's synergy with condi builds was discovered I thought Power was the stronger, better build.

Yet Revenent POF spec is an unplayable meme and you guys complained on the Revenant HOT spec when it FINALLY got out of being an automatic loss in all equally skilled 1v1s (How many times does an underperforming spec have to be nerfed for y’all to see your getting outplayed by losing to it)

Good players make Renegod work.

And Chronomancer is looking to be a pretty unplayable meme for a while.

They have neither of these but ok.

Even when equipped with a sages or even mender's amulet amulet a holosmith on a demolisher's amulet has far more self healing. If you mean active defenses, sure mirage has a lot but most side noding duelist classes are competitive with that and even outside of side noders literally nothing competes with thief in terms of sheer active defenses and mobility.

"Season 14 ended with 6-7/10 Boonbeast. "

Have evidence or somewhere we can see that?

Personal experience playing with and against each of those accounts. Some of the would occasionally play Herald on the side.

Ok, so you don't have evidence at all

Cool thanks

No one does, cuz the leaderboards are not by class but by account. So you have to guess the person who is currently on the leaderboards what build they currently play.

In addition, in order to measure build performance correctly you will need to look at the bell curve of performance, examine the standard of deviation and then compare it with other builds bell curve of performance. I am certain that no player has access to this information with that type of accuracy.

And honestly, the CI Mesmer is a meme build. It has no AOE and limited ability to fight condis. It has difficulty staying on node. It just excels at trolling SB and herald on side nodes.

That's my point, it's bogus to even begin to make the claim that 6-7 soulbeasts stayed on top 10 consistently throughout an entire season in an attempt to say it was THAT busted compared to other classes in that season. The reality is , it's most likely BS and heavily exaggerated as is with a majority of the complaints on these forums.
