Agreed, the capping is really boring, and a lot of learning it for beginners is "It's more worth it to defend a point you already have than to contest on a point that is not yet capped, or that the other team has" Or "Try to stand on the point and attack if possible" XD Or "If you/your team member/the other team would have stayed on the point for a second longer it would have stayed capped rather than decapped"

I think pugs would be fine with either one, assuming being average or good at all of them I think Preaper has most utility in an unorganized comp (mostly thinking "Can bring cpc for entire unexperienced group which destroys all projectiles/5 target defense - yes your teammates do have to be standing inside the cpc", "Can bring spectral grasp to cc and cleave mobs for entire group - 5 targets and all 5 members of the group can cleave", "Generally slightly harder than the other two to get downed when you haven't practiced enough to know which attacks to dodge".) Meanwhile Engi has superspeed, Heal Alacrity Mech might be great however I cannot speak for that since I haven't played it yet, Condition Mech (don't know how fast it's condis tick, if it's like cfb it should be fine) should be fine too - although Power Holosmith is (imo) more likely more effective for dungeons than its condi variant, as the mobs and bosses have relatively low HP Holo and can also bring pulls for mobs.

Reading this in mid-April - not sure what the fuss was about. "this is dead" "this is dying" when a game has a far less active player-base than at its peak anymore it'll be like 10 years after the occasion gripe about this from certain individuals.

They also don't have a lot of long-term goals/rewards (in the way that Raid CM titles and Fractal Titles) to incentivize casual players (who might later want to join the hardcore/semi-hardcore scene) to invest time into being adept at them.

Dragonhunter, though it might incentivize facetanking mechanics due to the OP-in-PVE heal skill. [Virtues DH or core guard in the fights that it's taken (if it's meta anywhere in raids/fractals/strikes) with the trait "Strike damage dealt is increased while you have aegis." is an exception.] Power warrior does not have a difficult rotation too, I also don't think Heal Firebrand or Fractal Rev are that difficult and I think they're fine when playing in pugs too.

You can skip recs if Sunqua (or Shattered Observatory 75) or other long fractals/ones that you don't want to repeat are in the daily rotation. 😛

Shhh, it's quite a mechanics-gated boss anyway (due to CC phase now that consumables have been nerfed), think it makes pugging Arts more pleasant now at least in groups that abide by /gg guidelines

If you enjoy necro now is the time to go for it! Are you in NA or EU? For EU I hear the raid training guilds tend to be more effective/efficient, and it might be worth joining one like RTI, I'm sure there are lots more though. For NA there's Raid Academy which is a good place to practice classes, learn mechanics, and ask questions about encounters and rotations. I honestly wish RA was divided by encounter (eg "Sloth", "KC", "Xera") instead of class but that may just be me personally. Watching YouTube videos, reading SC guides, and Dulfy helps with mechanics. Keep an eye out for training runs in LFG! They do require constant checking in NA to come across, but lower LI groups pop up quite frequently in EU during prime time. I'd recommend doing FCs instead of just the "free" runs to build LI, as they get you more experience and you'll probably be sick of some in-between-mini-events that give LI anyway. The first three bosses for W4 are generally pretty easy for a newer training group.

Hi, I'm wondering if Black Lion Chest Exclusive items (like the Wild magic backpack, and Elemental sword) ever rotate back to the black lion statuette vendor? (aka become buyable for 60 statuettes.) Am considering either buying a couple of the Black Lion Exclusive chests now that they're out, or waiting for them to come back (*if they ever do).

Mmhmm if you use LFG and PUG a lot, server culture does matter (or if you run around in open world) It actually sounds like a difficult choice on your part (and same, I feel ya :/) cuz NA is a lot more friendly -- people are more up for chitchat and conversation than EU, but EU does care more about what's meta.
