  1. Automated Medical Response How will this work with Mechanist? They have no toolbelt skills. They are still also unable to use Medkit heal skill due to this. I personally don't see the reason to change this trait as it was never really a problem. But the new change seems to overlook an entire elite spec.
  2. I always wanted mech skins, would love racial skins for the mech at the very least. Like charr get a scrap/ steam punk like mech, asuras get golem looking mechs etc.
  3. I was really looking forward to shortbow, I imagined some kind of gadgeteer shooting things like bombs and elixirs etc. More of a dps/ utility weapon than a support weapon. Whatever this is... is just a dissapointment for me. I really hoped it was going to be better than the trailer made it look. It really isn't. It feels really clunky and without weapon swap, really no need to run it. Everything else performs better. Also it feels like there's just no synergy with anything. The auto has detonator in the name and isn't an explosion. I really hope, but doubt they will, that they redesign this to be better. It's clear it is extremely unpopular. Especially compared to what every other class got.
  4. As in title. Do you not remember how bad it felt to play original Scrapper? That's why they reworked it the first time. Because a lot of the gyros felt weak and were hard to play with due to the mobility of the spec and having to wait for it to catch up. The whole point of the spec is to be a bruiser that is constantly moving. Comboing off your fields etc. Now you have to stay still to get full benefit of your skills which will feel clunky. This is just a horrible side effect of one mode ruining something in another. Same thing happened with blast gyro recently. The pve change ruined the gyro in pvp modes since knockback was more useful there. Please Anet reconsider this change as you are basically ruining one of the better designed engi specs in other modes for the sake of one build in wvw. There has to be another way to nerf support Scrapper without destroying the whole spec. It just upsets me that i've stuck with this elite for so long as it is my fav and has been underperforming most of the time and it is now going to be much much worse. It's clear this is an unpopular change based on reactions in various places. I don't even think I want to dedicate time to play another class or something and myself might just take a break from GW2 for a while.
  5. As the title says. Loved in LW3 and 4 how you had the transformation potions and rewinder thing you could get. Unless i'm missing something all we ever seem to get now is minis, which are cool but I enjoyed the other little toys ^^
  6. I really hoped this update would make it only pve with the stun since it said Pve only. The knockback was really only useful in pvp modes anyway and they've taken it away :(. I'm all for them working skills to be better in certain game modes but taking away this flavour in the modes it was good in is upsetting. Knocking people off points or off cliffs is harder to do now 😞
  7. I was honestly really glad when I got to try the DE meta. The fact it had an element of risk and could fail really brought back what all the previous metas used to be like. Some of the most fun I've ever had in my 9 years of playing this was working together with people to complete big metas. From accidently stumbling across Teq and working with them making boat teams etc to learning about TT and fighting to get a slot in one of the condi teams. It was really fun, it felt like a big group effort and that is what they sold it as, a game with challenging combat and open world encounters. Fast forward to HoT and you get everyone working together to build up Verdant Brink for the night to kill ALL the bosses not just the one. Then onto Tarir where it's the same, we'll work together to build a map up and actually have to sync up kills properly because there was only time for maybe 1 or 2 messups, no PICNIC/ PANIC because we all know it will never fail now. Then Chak Gerent the same people working together, actually getting to see it go to other phases instead of 1 burning it with auto attacks. Dragon Stand is still a lengthy meta but isn't immune, it's pretty easy once you get the the end part because mounts kind of make it a joke as does the power creep. I recall doing it and being like "I really need to get ley line gliding for this so I can be more effective". PoF ... we don't really talk about metas here since there's so few 😛 EoD suffers from this too with all the metas bar DE. Aetherblade conceptually is so much fun, but the final boss just kind of stands there in the middle, never gets any big attacks off and never moves into any of the hazards in the room corners until near the end when he's basically dead. I was really hyped doing it at first because it is a scrapper and that's one of my fav classes. The other two events are just the same as everything else, you turn up, auto, maybe dodge a few times and win. I also do enjoy fractals and such however shouting down at people wanting harder open world content to go to fractals/ raids is just silly. The game used to have harder open world content, people just got too used to power creep making it easy to complete 99% of everything. The game was designed around this content meaning to be somewhat challenging, otherwise why code in certain mechanics? Unfortunately the balance of things has led to a lot of things being too easy. That big feeling of working together with a whole map to achieve something is not obtainable in 10 man squads. It doesn't have the same sense of scale and community. I personally hope the devs take a pass of all content and tune it to todays power in the game. I love that they have been revisiting older stuff lately and tweaking it.
  8. I was trying out Red Steamed Dumpling food yesterday on my Engineer, I had a few left over and figured why not. I noticed that upon kill I wasn't getting the increased Power and Condi dmg. Usually on kill foods put a small icon on your buff bar with a timer letting you know you have it, I got nothing. I also had my character window open to check and nothing increased. Plus upon watching my dmg numbers they remained the same. Also when doing fractals today I noticed in shattered observatory using rifle 5 with the low gravity just sends you so high in the air and it takes ages for the big impact slowing down dps making it not worth using.
  9. I acknowledged that HoT introduced more systems and mechanics. Which is true. But It just felt like even taking that away the events and chains etc were more well thought out and designed. Same for masteries, more variety, more lines, more unique design to integrate with the maps and showoff the new features. They had parts of the maps locked off until you unlocked a certain mastery, it made you want to get it and explore. My bf was playing EoD with me and was like... why are all the hero points communing spots? Auric Basin and the other metas used to require more effort but the power creep has just made every single HoT meta a joke and the dev's refuse to make a pass on all content in the game to fix it. I recall many people working together to level up the map and finish all the night bosses in Verdant Brink, Tarir used to actually need some working together, now it's just oh you burned too fast, that's ok we can catch up easy (hence the PANIC/ PICNIC going on in mapchat they know it's a joke), Chak Gerent gets one burned and never sees the other phases. Dragon stand still takes time but mounts make moving about the end platforms trivial. It's a shame imo but everyone seems to enjoy the easy press 1 content. Funny enough though, Soo Won is the only meta really that feels like how the old meta events used to where you need to work together well to finish or it can fail. I agree with the last bit though, back then everyone was full of hope and hype. The launch for HoT was so hype them doing the all night stream with the big button to launch it etc. I was so excited for it.
  10. It feels like Anet played their hand too soon with HoT, at least imo, it will always feel like the biggest and most successful expansion. But they did seem to have more staff back then plus they did introduce a lot of new systems with it like masteries and elite specs, etc. That being said in HoT, there were still so many more mastery lines, unique events on the maps that linked together and such considering they added so many new systems. It felt like there was so much more to work towards and even though today a lot of the masteries feel redundant (because mounts) it was still very clever how they interacted with the maps and allowed exploration. Events felt less copy and paste and more varied. EoD whilst good did feel a little less full. The only good map that felt anything like what we had before is Dragons End. The others are beautiful, but it just feels like there's a lot less to do. Events are kind of samey all over, especially in New Kaineng with all the escort the engineer events or malfunctioning bots. I think they could have done so much more with the city to attract players. It just feels barren most of the time which is a shame considering how lovely it is. Add boat races, some banks etc to attract players to a hub area. I get it's a meta map and not an actual city but surely it wouldn't harm it. Amnoon has TP's and bank npc's and people seem to hang about. The turtle doesn't feel like part of the expansion really as hardly anything needs it and so few instances of needing to use a skiff. More races! The canals are perfect for it in Kaineng Dx I'm not calling EoD a bad expansion, it was good, I certainly enjoyed it more than PoF but again it feels like they went all out on HoT and comparing any of them to it just doesn't feel fair. Plus a lot of missed oppurtunity. This is just my opinion and I understand lots of people will prefer PoF or EoD to HoT.
  11. Does this mean Blast Gyro at least gets to keep it's knockback in pvp modes? The knockback is super useful and really fun to use in those modes.
  12. I got seperated from my bf. Both preselected the same guild earlier this week before the deadline. I ended up in the right world assigned to the guild, they did not. Our Guild is just us two so I have no idea how the matchmaker decided to split us up. Preselected Guild : Burrliament [Burr] My assigned world : Stonefall His assigned world: Phoenix Dawn
  13. The Revenant Jalis elite is still white in dx11 and not stone coloured like in dx9. Otter infusion still glows much brighter than dx9 so when it hangs in the air on some animations and glows in place, at max glow brightness all details are lost on the little thing 😞
  14. Still waiting for the spirits of the wild harvesting tools to be added seperately! Everytime it's the bundle. I just want the bear tool Dx
  15. I didn't want to make a new topic for this and since this was related... does anyone know who I contact about this same issue? Me and my bf have a personal guild of just us two. Previous betas we went with our other wvw guild as the selection. This time we thought we'd select our personal one and just end up together wherever. I got put into the world that was assigned to our small guild, he however got placed into the same one as the other guild we're in together. He did select ours before the deadline yet we've been seperated 😞
