As someone with OCD who likes to finish every achievement in a story chapter before moving to the next, Champions chapter is a complete nightmare for me right now. This is where I’m up to in the story and this content is only a year old yet I can’t find any groups even during prime hours. Having to do each instance 5+ times is hell.

Yeah it’s done on purpose. For the last few years (except legendaries) all the weapons you can earn in game are bland and boring. It’s on the BL store or BL skins that are the really shiny and nicely designed ones.

I mean for the first time in a long time I’m completely avoiding a season of PvP. The fact scourge can tank most damage, heal most damage and then stack so much condi on you, you die in seconds. No class should be so god like that they can literally do everything.

I wanted it so I went for it. Took me 18 keys. Could have been much worse.

I thought 2 vs 2 would make skill a much bigger factor in win rate rather than lucky matchmaking so I was quite excited for it. My placement matches I fell in love with the mode with some really fun games and developing a good connection with your one partner. Then I got placed in Gold 3 and suddenly I’m coming up against double bunker pre made every single game. It’s a complete bore fest either fighting till the timer runs out if I’m lucky enough to get a bunker in my team or having a 100% unwinnable game if we are double damage vs their double bunker. I love the idea of the game mode so kudos to Anet for that but people have completely ruined it. So desperate to get a win that all life is sucked out of the mode to make it mind numbing.

I’m still going pretty strong tbh on my burn DH in G3, P1. I win most 1 on 1s. But yeah necros are simply another level at the moment. A decent scourge or reaper carries matches alone and I have seen them solo kill 3 players in a few games recently.

HoT brought utility/defensive spec. PoF brought condi spec. I really hope EoD brings a strong power spec that can compete with the best in raids/fracs. For the weapon I’m in the majority when I say GS. It’s so much fun what they could do with it, like mist waves coming out when you swing. I also love some GS skins more than other weapons.

Are we really calling garrisons housing? They most definitely weren't ? you could only go into others if grouped so removal of the social side of it 0 customization or anything If we get FFXIV style housing that would be massively successful for the playerbase which gw2 is built for really. As it provides alot of casual content. Wows garrisons were effectively a plot of land you couldn't do anything with. Had no options you were effectively playing the hero while roleplaying the NPC you find in average barracks as a side piece. I'd like to see proper housing in gw2 it's been a major win in every mmorpg going. It kept Windstar alive by itself for its life span and it's a huge thing in FFXIV... I'd imagine it would bring alot of players in if they do housing right. There's not a single big mmorpg with housing in from a western company currently. So it's a market that would defiantly make the game more popular. ESO is literally the biggest western mmo and has housing ? But yeah housing would bring a lot to Gw2 and would probably received the greatest reaction from the player base.

Rev is complete trash now. Even good revs I’m completely destroying in pvp. Nowhere near meta. Guard is still holding its own despite the nerfs. Still quite easy to play and decent results. Tbh necro is the only true meta class right now. It’s the only class that if not played well can still bring results. Guard, engi, ranger and SB warrior can all hold their own and are worth getting good on. Other classes are only worth it if you are super high skilled and know the profession perfect.

Absolutely dying for the Haunted Armor outfit right now! I would happily take Timekeeper outfit as back up!

So I came back to the game after a 2 year break mostly because I love Rev and I saw that it was now in the meta again for PvE and PvP. I already had a full legendary set and i love to be DPS so i went for a Viper condi build. This build is supposedly in the meta for raids. However I have been running fractals a lot recently and not had many problems but today a guy was running a DPS meter and being quite picky about it. He was telling me my DPS was poor. So on then next boss I went all out, I know my rotation and I performed it as best as I could. I ended up reaching 19k DPS whilst a holosmith in our group hit 30k DPS and a Scourge who was mostly in charge of healing ended up hitting 23k. For me I don't know what more I could have done to get my DPS up. Is Rev now too poor a DPS and simply just an alac support for groups?

Spoken like someone who isn’t very experienced in PvP. I’m carrying teams as hard as I can and if I can keep winning fights 1vs2 then i personally don’t deserve to lose that game or have it affect my record. I remind you I was Plat 1/2 in every season before I left and trying to push into the top 100 so ending up stuck here in Gold 1 is definitely not where I belong.

After a 2 year break playing ESO I just returned to Gw2. I’m mostly a PvPer and before my break I spent every season in Plat 2/3. I mained Rev but took over on DH after Rev got nerfed to oblivion. Now I’m back I jumped back on to DH, realised the meta is still pretty similar to before and after 10 games I felt like my skill level was only slightly worse than before I left. I got placed in Gold 3 which I totally expected. However across the course of the season I didn’t move up to plat as I expected, after 100 games I have finished in Gold 1. This weekend my games I feel like I’m playing against people far below my skill level, most games I have won more 1 vs 2 fights than ever before and I’m finishing the games with all top stats whilst the rest of my team seem to be completely new PvP. It’s left me feeling frustrated and made me realise that Gw2 PvP is just not on the same level as ESO or other mmos. The problem here? I see Gw2 PvP as having 2 huge problems which keep it from being as good as other mmos for the foreseeable future. First the game mode of capturing points has literally been the only game mode in PvP for years, only deathmatch existed alongside it and that was short lived. This game mode does not really allow much individual skill to effect the outcome. It relies so heavily on a team playing well as a team together and rotating effectively. The second problem is the matchmaking, it is horrendous so much of the time. Streaks are absolutely a thing and people who have been winning will go on a 5-10 game losing streak where bots or bad players are constantly placed in your team and the games are in unwinnable. Don’t get me wrong the best players are still at the top and the worst players are still at the bottom however Gold division still finds itself full of players who should be bronze and at the same time players who should be high platinum. With the poor match making a Plat player can find themselves in a team of 4 bronzes playing against a team of 5 Plat/Golds. This clearly shows a problem. I love Gw2 and I want to see it succeed but I’m a huge PvPer and Gw2 PvP frustrated and saddened me more than any other mmo, that’s why I make this post and want to see if anyone agrees with me.

3000 games played and spend most seasons in Plat 2. This season I’m fully stuck in Gold 2 and 3 and can’t move up no matter how well I play. So the matchmaking and game can definitely decide where it wants you to be and not allow you to move.

I hate this when I’m on a point and manage to kill 2 of their team after a 3 minute fight then smiling to myself and look at the map expecting a full cap and see my team are all dead and the map is for the enemy team haha.

Currently I’m running a condi shortbow renegade for PvE content and it feels really effective and strong. However personally I enjoy power more, specially the sword/sword and hammer combo. Is it better to make the expensive changes to Diviner/Berserkers gear for open world, fractals and trials content? Or am I just as effective playing my condi shortbow renegade?

You sound like someone who had never played Rev ? shortbow Rev is literally 1 of 3 meta classes in pvp right now.

It’s my character that’s bugged. I’m able to sell all the same items on another character. The problem is I now have 20g worth of fractal junk stuck on that character that I can’t sell to a vendor.

So today I tried to sell a load of materials on the trade post and they aren’t appearing in the sell list at all. Next I opened a load of fractal boxes and I can’t even sell all the junk to vendor as it’s not appearing. Is this a bug and how do I fix it?

I breezed through this fight on my Renegade which i felt has been a poor class up until now. I don't think the boss got me below 50%. Just fight at range and its easy.
