Unbound Magic Harvesting Blast no effect when using

The golden swirling visual effect for the unbound magic harvesting tool no longer appears. The visual effect works fine with the logging and mining tools. All three give the unbound magic as they should, it is just the visual effect for the harvesting/gathering tool that no longer works. -
I also got the items a second time, what do I do with them?
