  1. someone correct me if I'm wrong here... all people need to do is stand in the green circles to prevent a wipe, right? is that hard? no. last night the commander told people to skip the greens because the other mechanic is supposedly too punishing, hahaha. it ended in failure (a few people went into the green and wiped us). i don't blame the commander though. the community can't do simple things. not many would survive long in lost ark raids where you actually need to dodge and complete mechanics.
  2. Fishing is pretty awesome so far. Here's how to improve it. Requiring 2 keys to move left and right to follow the "catch zone" box is too troublesome and suffers from perceived lag. You could improve it by only using LEFT MOUSE button to keep the player controlled reticle within the catch zone. See the Genshin Impact fishing system. With this change, you'll only need to press LEFT MOUSE button to keep the player controlled reticle in the catch zone---the player controlled reticule will go into the opposite direction (left) automatically when not pressing anything and only go to the other direction (right) when pressing the LEFT MOUSE button. This would make fishing easier in two ways: 1) only need to click 1 button to keep fishing (assuming you also make LEFT MOUSE throw the line as well, and 2) players will catch fish more easily due to minimizing input delay from keyboard use. The other issue with current implementation is that "1" should go left when catching the fish.
  3. BUG: Gunsaber weapon rarely generates its light golden trail. I've only seen it a few times. Usually it appears as a basic trail. Edit: Trail does not work w/ Daring Dragon trait.
  4. Harbinger auto attack chain, or lack of, pistol skill #1 is highly unsatisfying. The skill is too basic. There is no chain nor no epic feel. Very disappointing. GW2 could benefit from better chains. When other skills are on cooldown, pistol skill #1 looks pathetic. Look at Lost Ark for example, a lot of epic looking skills that are impactful and very destructive looking. Without epic visuals and impact, the game suffers greatly. Very unappealing to new players.

  9. I see a lot of players complaining about low FPS. Sure, the game benefits greatly from an extremely powerful GPU and single core on a CPU, like 5GHz, but there is a lot you can do on your side to improve frame rate. I shared these settings in map chat with other players and a few said it improved their performance by up to 20 frames per second. These settings will provide good visual quality while being extremely optimized, especially in world boss fights. Basically, I got tired of seeing the complaining. I hope this helps someone. Give it a try. I have highlighted (***) the most important settings that increase performance.   11. This is why we can't have nice stuff. I haven't done it yet because the game is boring/too easy because of threads like this. It's meant to be a challenge. Not everyone gets a trophy.
  12. Using Shadow Step on my Deadeye, the orb was not successfully transferred to the pylon 3 times in one night! (No other person delivered an orb.)I recall at release there were similar problems w/ Deadeye, and I switched to Scourge pylon and never once encountered the issue since launch. But now with Deadeye, it's happening again...Is this some bug? Lag? Something else? What am I doing wrong? The orb was carried successfully to the pylon, just wouldn't take it.
  13. didn't read anything in this thread, but here's my feedback: build templates don't work properly in their current form until equipment, skills, everything is equipped in a single click from the main template menu. i appreciate the hard work listening to the community and implementing a long sought-after feature, but it just doesn't make sense to me: equipment and skills in different tabs. why not connect the whole thing? make it easy as possible? then i would buy it. i really don't have any problems with the prices, but it has to be perfectly functional for me to swipe my credit card. i feel for anet--they work hard and get trashed at every step (it's in good faith). though their forum moderators warn me over nonsense... but the game is essentially free to play. there is no sub. it's a business. lastly, once you guys fix the templates, please provide an option to buy it all for a discount. edit: alright, i read some posts in here. i really agree with another poster: current "build templates" are not templates at all!! they change when you modify skills on your skill bar! makes no sense!
  14. As we have seen in other games, options to limit effects would be a good thing to have. We have an extreme amount of flashes. Scale that up as more and more people stack and it really is quite much. Any world boss, mass event or WvW zerg fight and there are no tells that something occurs since the visual noise has it drowned out. Simple example, why do we have flash for mounting and dismounting? Keep the animations for the points that matter and not just because you can. check the lod box in graphics options. that greatly limits visual clutter.

  17. yeah but how many builds do you have? The people complaining have 15+ builds..some have 30. @400 gems for gear and 400gems for traits...not counting needimg to buy character slots too.The person with 30 builds will have to spend4+4+4+4+4= 20 x400gems3+3+3+3+3= 15 x400gems€175 ...thats really not acceptable. (Btw, I'm someone who's happy to anets build templates, I just understand why people are upset.) i get you. maybe they should have a package to unlock all.i hope it's not per character... is it?i would only have max 6 per character.

  20. even if only a special event that occurs a few times a month? it's really driving me crazy. this seems like some type of band-aid fix? i believe removing it would force people to defend objectives more carefully. thanks.
  21. Having played Strike Missions, I feel they are a good way to bring the community together. The difficulty is low, which is fine as long as they implement a much harder mode if possible, but not raid hard. This ensures they can focus resources on making raids very difficult. Remember, Strike Missions is a way to familiarize with more mechanics, but let's be real here, current Strike Mission is too easy. But it's a good start. Higher difficulty strike missions will solve this. I also like the way Strike Missions brings the community together. We don't ask for KP, anyone can join, Anet provides a shrine for teleportation, so clearly a lot of thought was put into this to make it accessible. It's refreshing.
