Back in the day, these events would show an orange flower icon on the map to indicate an event was running. I spent roughly 90 minutes on the same map instance of Kessex last night, and never saw one occur. Are these events on a discernible timer or does the map icon still exist for this event?

Just caught all 11 fish as seen on the wiki article: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/A_Strange_Diet The turtle took all of the fish except for the Dandan, and I have no option to give it to him now. The Dandan DID show up in the list as I was turning in the fish, but I saved it for last, and now I cannot progress the achievement.

So, can you explain how this scenario smells like P2W? I wonder if one of the master chefs have some smell enhancing culture left. There is no "winning" in fashion wars. People have different tastes and won't be able to agree on a single setup being the best. It's just a moot point. Arenanet selling cosmetics is how the game is funded, yet you don't see the guy with the shiny outfit dealing more damage or getting better drops than you just because he bought the outfit. Comparing precursor drop rates to a gem store weapon skin seems a bit strange as well. Legendaries aren't meant to be easy or quick to acquire, so it makes sense precursors don't drop from every 7th enemy you kill. Some gem store weapons get effects close to a legendary, yes, but they do not come with sigil nor infusion slots, let alone stat selection. That would be P2W, what you're arguing isn't.

A release date for episode 1 has still yet to be confirmed. The only person to suggest a November release date was the person who sat down with Mike Z for the most recent interview.

Those 2 things are not related. The supply drop is available at a discount, yes, but so was the last one. The rising price is just a way to convince players to buy it asap.

I fondly remember this being a thing in EverQuest 2.. more than a decade ago. Getting advertisements thrown in my face while playing the game is gonna be a no from me, dawg.

This post isn't to complain about how I dislike pvp or wvw or to screech about how I have to compete non-pve elements to finish a legendary. Simply put, I'd like to see a way to obtain a gift of battle from pvp, or at least an alternative to it, kinda like how you can either map complete HoT or PoF to obtain the gift of X mastery. I dislike that pvp isn't required during the process of crafting a legendary weapon like wvw is. How about an alternative?

I would love to see the chaos gloves back again soon. I have missed them every single time they were introduced (ugh) and it would be awesome if I was able to pick them up sometime soon since my schedule is heavily sporadic.
