No free weekly for me either this time. I wonder if tomorrow's patch will change anything for this week selection, assuming they're making changes to the daily/weekly system.

Lol.  I finished four weeklies, and it now shows I've finished five.  Not sure when the extra mission came through, as 3 of them were done at around the same time.  But yeah, a freebie weekly after all. 🙂

  2. Since the introduction of the Wizard's Vault reward system, there have been eight weekly missions options.  After last night's weekly reset, I'm only getting seven weeklies, not the usual eight, on my account with HoT/PoF (no EoD or SotO), set to PVE for the dailies/weeklies.  The jumping puzzle weekly is missing.   I've asked around and other accounts with HoT/PoF/EoD set to PVE, and HoT/PoF/EoD/SotO set to PVE, are both getting 8 weeklies, including the jumping puzzle weekly.

  3. Two things about GW2 Launcher that are very helpful to me (in addition to providing auto-login, of course):

    • it tells you when the account was last accessed. Pretty much eliminates the chance of me missing an account to log in for the dailies, or trying to remember which account was last accessed;
    • it has a helpful daily chest icon to show whether the account has been accessed since the daily reset.

If you want it to start when you launch an account, right click any account > Settings > Launch Options > Run after launching. Enter the following with your own path:

    cd c:\example\path\to\folder\containing\taco\start GW2TacO.exe

I just want to sincerely thank you for creating this tool and for all the help you're giving people on the forums.

Yeah Helix is doing more to fix this issue than any dev atm it seems. Great stuff man, keep it up. We all appreciate it <3

Just want to echo this, Healix's GW2Launcher is working great for me after the initial setup (which, to me, was no more work/complicated than setting up the shortcuts for auto login we used to have). Then, it's just a matter of clicking on the account in GW2Launcher, and other than the Anet's launcher coming up and delaying the login for 5 seconds (I do have the remember account/password and autologin enabled on the launcher), it works just like before Anet nerfed the command line arguments.

Just to note, I use it to log in to my accounts in succession, so I don't multibox on the same computer.

    Thank you very much, Healix!

  5. Sorry, can't help you there--I use KeePass to log in to my accounts in succession, not at the same time. But I also have a cheapie old laptop in addition to my main gaming laptop that, while you can't really play the game on it without suffering crippling fps, is perfectly fine for home instance harvesting or mesmer porting.

I did at once point do multiboxing on a single computer using the method outlined here (the 2nd option, the manual way):

... not sure if that method still works or not.

I use a small app called GW2 LUA that keeps the passwords encrypted and also 2FA, so that should satisfy the security issue. As far as password managers - does KeePass actually fill in the GW2 launch/patch window? I use Norton Identity Safe for my password manager and it only fills in browsers with a plugin.

Yes, KeePass will autopopulate the user ID and password fields. You launch the GW2 client, then right-click on the KeePass entry for an account and choose "Perform Auto-Type" (or Cntrl-V), and it'll fill in the fields and enter. If you check the box that says start automatically, it'll do that after 5 seconds.

You may have invested both money, and time each time you have to carry it out - but you reap also rewards that a player is supposed to get once per day, a multitude of times. The reason you do it, is because it pays off big time.

If Anet, the publisher of the game, makes it possible to have, and specifically allows, multiple accounts and multiboxing, then I don't see how one person playing one account is how it's supposed to be. That's like telling someone no you can't get a second job to make more money because you're only supposed to have one job. Says who?
  8. Someone suggested earlier using KeePass to somewhat automate the login process in the absence of the command line arguments that have been disabled. I did this for my many accounts, and while not perfect, it does make it faster in that I don't have to type in the user ID and password manually for each account. Have KeePass running, start the launcher, click on the account entry in KeePass and the hotkey to autopopulate the launcher fields, and that's that. You can set the launcher to autostart after a successfully authentication, which adds 5 seconds to the process.

Still very much would like to have the command line arguments back, though...
