Now that the Servers will be going away entirely with the Alliance system, will we be given the opportunity to Guest across regions for PvE stuff? I have a friend on EU servers and we can't play together at all because of the region restrictions.

Domain of Istan - Mass AFK Farm - Rising Issue

Thanks for the reminder. I need to create a Necro and farm the Inquest for Karma, Magic, and Spare Parts. -
Chillout with the loot please.

You're preaching to the choir. The chance to stop greedy monetization practices died over a decade ago though. -
Is anyone really looking forward to...more Aurene?
Bristingr.5034 replied to Aodlop.1907's topic in Lore
Honestly, the ideal ending would be having Aurene go wild/crazy from all the energy and we have to finish her off. -
[Spoilers] How powerful is the Commander?

Wait, when did Quaggans Skritt become a playable race? -
Can a discontinued item be upgraded?
Bristingr.5034 replied to Boneyard Yogi.8206's topic in Players Helping Players
I plugged in the item in-game, and there's no text saying it's upgradable. -
The two hidden EOD masteries…

Because Asurans are needed for the catapault ammo in WvW. -
Material Storage beyond 2000?
Bristingr.5034 replied to codedbykush.2019's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Honestly, I don't see the need to hoard mats past 1k, let alone 2k. I won't vote because OP didn't add a "No" option. -
No more chore-I mean "hearts" please!
Bristingr.5034 replied to Devildoc.6721's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
I'd love to never have to do another heart again, especially after having to do all the hearts for Draconis Mons for 17 days straight because of Aurora. So they were created for the folks who need hand-holding? Go figure. I cannot stand Heart Quests. Having them be repeatable is the devs just mocking those who hate heart quests. Especially when if we return to the area, if we need an item from the NPC, we have to do the kitten heart again just to unlock his shop. The 30 Wood/Ore/Plants are a bit annoying, but at least I can just do those passively while moving AND they're mats so they still serve other purposes. I'd rather run Chalice of Tears and other Jumping puzzles than do Heart Quests ever again. -
What do I get for completing Icebrood Saga?
Bristingr.5034 replied to matthewr.3980's topic in Living World
EOD Legendaries are basically Aurene's Weapons. Enjoy. So 2 months from now when we get to that point in the Return To Event? CoT is not that hard. Hell, I made hella gold (and Mystic Coins because I had hit the gold limit via mail) that week on my Mesmer doing my "Chalice of (No) Tears Portal Service". -
That's a terrible limiter as if someone wants to pass the tag, they have to leave a queued map? People would either just leave an alt with said "tag" at spawn and have a marker placed on the actual squad commander's head or not tag at all. When designing, you have to account for the path of least resistance, because that's what players do in games -- they will 99% of the time choose the easiest path that isn't cumbersome, annoying, or difficult.

You don't seem to understand. If we're all tagged up, we all move in since we're we cannot be harmed, we de-tag, and then attack the boss. I'm going to keep making fun of this terrible idea because that's exactly what would happen. Putting a timer or limiter on it, won't stop it either. Oh, you need to wait 5 minutes before detagging? That's not an issue. Need to have people in the squad? Buddy up! Leave half to do their own thing, the other half are the tags and de-tag to begin the strike. The idea is terrible, I can continue tearing it apart if I wasn't tired. Basically, go back to the drawing board and start from scratch.

It's a shame that your server (and link) are like that. Tarnished Coast folks generally work with everyone on their server and most links. The Commanders work with each other and try and help each other when they're on the map or cross-maps. We may have reverted to our guild discords for comms due to trolls and the lack of permissions of banning them from specific voice channels in the TC Discord, but that's not to say people aren't in several discord groups and can pop in if someone is tagged up. It's also not that hard to type in a few letters on your Discord app and join.

New Fishing and Skiff Video......
Bristingr.5034 replied to Luclinraider.2317's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
This. Even if it's AFK fishing, I'm down for it. -
Honestly, we need that back. Spending supply on upgrades should be part of the war. Do you save the supply for an enemy attack or do use it to upgrade the walls, give yourselves a WP, or add cannons?

A Core Account is definitely worth more than a F2P as you don't have the restrictions a F2P account has. Something to keep in mind if you're one for reaping the Log-In Rewards, etc. As such, you could realistically create a new account (F2P), upgrade that one with the expacs, and then you can use both accounts to acquire the log-in rewards, etc. All depends on how you want to play the game.

Suggestion: lower the barrier to entry for commanders
Bristingr.5034 replied to Ballistic.2570's topic in World vs. World
You do need a reputation to acquire followers when you tag. I remember when I first tagged up, I didn't know what the kitten I was doing, and definitely got us killed a lot, but as I learned, more started to follow me and my server began to accept my capabilities as a Tempest Commander. If I plan to be on WvW for a while, and I see someone new tagged up, I'll usually try and follow them to see how they do, etc. Everyone has to start somewhere after all. -
Because it's Winter down in the Southern Hemisphere.
