I have 4k PoF Testimonies. You can convert them to EoD Testimonies in the WvW Neutral Zone (Bastion Armistice) by simply buying all the PoF things and then using them (they'll auto convert to EoD Testimonies once you've maxed out your Hero Points in that region).

We WvW or PvP players can't even use the turtle (in our game modes), so no - that was not the major selling point for us.

Last I checked, you still had to run on the other borderlands and EBG. And responding to say Air or Fire Keep from your respective spawn/Garri Waypoints is about the same as Bay/Hills from Garri/Spawn on Alpine. The map isn't THAT much bigger than people are making it out to be, especially with control of the shrines.

Tarnished Coast actually likes the Desert. We have several guilds that run the majority of the time on those maps. That's not to say that we wouldn't love a water map as Water fights are our specialty! 😄

Anet, we'd love to have a new WvW map as celebration of the EOD Launch. Something with lots of water to balance out the Desert Borderlands. This would also make it so we don't have 2 clones of the Alpine BL.

If they're having to crunch to make the deadline, then they should be delaying the game. God forbid they rush it out and have it be terrible than just post-pone it a wee bit longer to ensure everything works. Not sure why Anet is trying to act like this launch HAS to happen in February.

The 25th was the most logical choice based on A. They still hadn't announced a launch date, which means they're pushing it as far as they can (a.k.a. they should realistically be delaying it) B. Previous expacs have launched on Friday. It was a precedent. With those two in mind, I simply chose what would have been the expected launch date. I'm also aware that people can work on the weekends, but every game out there will show the same thing -- more people play over the weekends than during the week.

If they're having to crunch to launch, then they should delay the kitten thing. Crunch is terrible for a company and any manager that promotes/approves of it should be fired. So starting off the week with 12-hr shifts when something inevitably breaks is better?

Every other expansion was released on a Friday. Why release this on a Monday? It feels weird. Friday gives people the weekend to enjoy the new content and not have to deal with work. I pre-emptively took off the 25th as both HOT and POF were both released on a Friday. Now I won't even get to play the new content until March 4th because you know, people work during the week.

I just thought the "Core Swap" event was a cool idea, and definitely could be fleshed out more. Never heard of the Sneak Attack event, but would be Terrible for TC as we don't have scouts. 😞

Honestly, I don't remember, just that we were pretty hard in 3rd by the end of Tuesday that I didn't bother logging in for the rest of the beta week. Every night I tried it was just rough from the spawn camping... with one small exception when Maguuma got bored spawn camping us and went for Blue (they were Red), we were able to snipe their T3 SMC as a "kitten you". They didn't let off the spawn camping after that.

We were given a free precursor though just for [re-]playing the story...

I get tired just reading this sub-forum because of the same reason. People can't read, refuse to understand how Alliances are [currently] projected to work, and would rather just kitten all the time, so it's no wonder Anet doesn't want to focus on WvW.

Was on the wrong team. We ended up against two stacked teams (one was Maguuma...), it just wasn't fun at all. We weren't allowed to take anything because both teams basically spawn camped us (they refused to fight each other).

I thought the Core Skill Event was pretty cool (can the next one give us Portals if we kill Mesmers?) That said - BRING BACK GOLEM WEEK!

If I don't see 20+ people fighting each other during Tequil or the Shatterer, I don't want it.

Don't bother. People don't actually read on these forums, they just complain.

What team were you placed on? -- Reaper's Corridor What team did you expect to be placed on? -- Giant's Rise Did you change/toggle your selected WvW guild after Thursday night, even briefly? -- My selection seemed to have become unchecked. I checked it again right before reset happened. Have you shard/world transferred recently? -- No What is your default world when World Restructuring is disabled? -- Tarnished Coast If it helps, I was locked out of WvW entirely (none of the matches would load) until I restarted my client entirely once reset happened. I also understand it's Beta, and these things happen! If it can't be fixed, no worries, I'll run with some other guilds for the week!

Don't worry, there'll be 50 alt accounts that suddenly post, kittening about how they weren't notified, etc. etc.. And another 15 threads of people kittening about how the beta sucks, Alliances suck, and that they should just scrap it altogether, because they didn't read what exactly is taking place, they don't care, or a combination of the two. Just as a reminder, this beta is ONLY ensuring that folks will be paired with the guild they choose and then mix the guilds around. That's it. NOTHING ELSE IS HAPPENING. Seriously, Anet just needs to lock this sub for the next week because it was a kittening kitten show last time wading through all the garbage. Guilds haven't been placed into an Alliance server yet, so all guilds will display [Unknown] until reset happens.

There's 1-2 in every server. You just block them and move on. For TC it's Monkey and Asura High.
