  1. Hello all! A big factor in MMORPG's for me are the wardrobe/skin/glamour/transmog systems. I know on the store, there is a ton of great skins for characters, however I was searching in the AH and wasn't seeing a lot of majority. (Even though I know that doesn't mean anything lol) For all you GW2, would you be able to elaborate on if GW2's wardrobe system is very good? Especially when it comes to IN GAME armor/wardrobes. I think the past few years just playing WoW that was the only thing keeping me on that game lol. As of now i'm a level 40ish Guardian. Appreciate your feedback! Thanks in advance!
  2. This is the kind of answer I was kind of looking for lol. I felt that I wanted to just PvP and then maybe just play the storymode just to get the just of what's happening, but nothing more. (Outside of maybe any formk of PvE for cosmetics and mounts etc) I I've been off and on this game since release. I stated I only have a level 40 at the moment, but i've had older characters that were deleted during GW2 "Vanilla" that were close to endgame, but at the time I was looking for a PvE game so i'd stop playing. Now, every year, I dive into PvP for about a month or two and really enjoy it, but felt like I wasn't doing the "Game correctly" since all I wanted to do was PvP lol. Appreciate the feedback erveryone. Any other forms of feedback is also greatly appreciated. =D
  3. So did you level up from just the tombs that you get in PvP? And how much of the PvE content have you experienced? (Did you do any story content) Have you still been enjoy to enjoy much of the game and what it provides?
  4. The majority of my GW2 gaming has been PvP. ESPECIALLY since you can PvP at high level when you hit level 3. (Or something in that area lol) So my highest character outside of PvP is level 40. (My main btw is a Core support guardian since I LOVE healing in PvP) I really only have touched a bit of the story. Im roughly around the level 30ish storywise. So the question I have is outside of the non main story experiences, is it viable or of worth to just go through the main story just to get to level cap and just PvP in my experiences here in GW2, or will I be heavily gimped by "Speed running" through the storyline? (If anything, I would just want to go through the storyline to get different gear appearances and so forth lol) Thanks in advance for the advice!
  5. So basically basically you capture a point and let people come to you and use to skills? > @Tharan.9085 said: So basically even though you have a ton of skills, if you are patient and people roll up on you, you pretty much have all the tools to beat people? Lol.
  6. So a year or so ago, I ran the healing firebrand because I love healing in pvp and coming bac, it's pretty much only used in PvE. So now I am learning the Symbolbrand since it's one of the meta builds. I went to Godsofpvp and they said it's a 1 our of 5 in difficulty.. Now if I'm wrong or playing it wrong, please inform me because I am still pretty new to GW2 and its PvP (On a serious level) but how is it rated an easy spec when it has around 25 skills to remember, (that includes the 3 tomes) and having to know when to use them?I generally try to dps and switch to heals and shields when my team needs it, and then try to spread fire dps with my dps tome but it tends to get tough remembering lol. Just curious to what others think about it. I just felt calling it an easy build is a bit off.
  7. Yea I'm already level 35 just from PvP from tomes lol. First off, thank you everyone for responding. I think the reason I ask the original statement is because I've recently played games like WoW where I'm at a HUGE disadvantage from not doing pve. And the pve is Terrible right now over there. I didn't want to dive into GW2 and then use tomes or my boost to max level and then because I didn't pve, it wasnt gonna matter because lack of pve makes me still at a disadvantage lol.
  8. But what about WvW? Thank you for responding, but my question really wasn't about the boost. It was if Id be at a disadvantage in any area if I didn't do any PvE and either leveled through PvP to do WvW or just used a boost.
  9. So with buying expansions, I have a character boost. I really like the PvP in this game but I dont feel like going through the PvE content. Now my question is will I be at a disadvantage gameplay and gear wise if I boosted my character STRICTLY to do PvP? I don't mind not knowing the story, I just enjoy the PvP system and would love to finally do some WvW. Thanks in advance!
  10. Please don't through into the same pile Symbolbrand and Support Mantra Firebrand that used to be a staple meta that OP probably refers to. The latter doesn't do any damage. Yea when I ran the heal build before (Staff and mace/shield) I didnt have a ton of dps, but heals were strong. I didnt mind it. In fact that's the trade off. If you heal good, you shouldnt expect to top dps. Support is support lol. It seems like the recent patch made it to where you can be a hybrid. Great dps, great shields, great heals in one toon. Not a big fan of that lol. > @"Frydraca.5409" said: This was my old build! I loved it! If it's still viable then I dont care what the flavor of the month is. I'll keep playing it.
  11. When I played GW2 a year ago I ran fire brand heals in pvp. Mostly conquest. I loved it. Ran staff and mace/ shield which had tons of heals, shields etc.. I know this game doesnt have a legit heal class but this was the closest to it. Now when considering coming back, every meta build whether at pvp Gods or meta, not only is that build no where to be seen, but I hardly see any major heals to begin with. With the most recent patch, did they basically make it where all classes are dps with some having more of a support yet phase out major healing? I'd love to be wrong because if my heal build as well as others are phased out, I might finally just step away completely from it. Any advice would be great! Thanks guys.
  12. Thanks for the responses everyone. I just wanna follow up and see if people still suggest to play through the content.. I still only pvp right now. I hardly pve. To be Frank, I have no intention or will to even want to do the pve.. I strictly would rather be Max level to do WvW than to experience the game. I've gone through too many mmorpgs (And still am) to want to commit so much time to leveling a toon at this moment, HOWEVER, if it's still recommended in regards to other aspects, then I might just gut it through. I looooove the pvp though. Ending thoughts?
  13. So I decided to come back to GW2 after at least a 3 year break, and I purchased PoF and received a level 80 boost. When I last played years ago my max level was 44 before I quit. (Not a fan of the heart questing which got very tedious) I was wondering if I should level my recent character (Firebrand healing Guardian) the old fashion way and just grind through the quests and boost an alt OR just boost my main guardian considering you can still go through the main story despite your level being past the requirements. The main reason I ask is because though I will do pve from time to time, the MAIN reason I came back was to hop mainly into pvp. And with the boost, I'd be able to work with going into WvW. Really appreciate the opinions guys! Thanks!
