  1. Having watched the bit on the different elder dragon visuals for the new legendary weapons, any idea if the legendary amulet visual can be "upgraded" as well to align to one of the elder dragons??
  2. Please bring back the synergetics roller beetle and... If the skyscale skin being advertised is what is being offered up for synergetics, please remake it. The synergetics skins so far have not been animal forms and that's what makes them awesome and different for those of us that love the future-tech skins. I'm sure someone could have come up with a suitable helicopter/osprey style machine that would have a flamethrower for dismount.
  3. Have to admit, if this is the synergetics skyscale, it will likely be a sad, hard pass because it's not following in line with the synergetics roller beetle and skimmer being tech and not animals. Personally, I've been hoping for these futuristic skins.. things like... a synergetics rocket chair (springer), hover tank (siege turtle), jetbike w/portal device (jackel), maybe some kind of jetpack/hoverboard (griffon), a jeep (warclaw) and a helicopter/osprey type machine (skyscale)
  4. Here's hoping the synergetics skin is a giant hovering weapons platform or tank 😄
  5. Has there been any official comms on this yet? Was surprised to wake up and see no new patch 😞
  6. Arcane trait line. Arcane Precision, 33% chance to apply weakness on critical hit
  7. I wouldn't say I'm the best elementalist player. The class has always seemed too squishy, so marauder's with a handful of minions is a safer route for PvE than berserker for me. I play mainly PvE, so I'm hopeful this build will have some luck in getting me around with an ele.
  8. For those thinking the catalyst is too complicated/weak, check out this thread and build link!
  9. In the first beta, I was skeptical, I was hoping for a more tanky, straightforward class. I just couldn't seem to figure it out... But, now that the spec is in the build editor, I've had more time to play around with it. For anyone doubting what this spec is capable of, keep reading. - 3,682 strength - 22,185 hit points - 100% critical chance - 300.47% critical damage - 3 minions (2 elementals, 1 golem) - Tons of vulnerability from skills - 5 lightning skills that trigger elemental empowerment, 8 if you cycle elements - 5 lightning skills that trigger lightning rod for up to 1,542 dmg a pop against heavy armor - Weakness, might, and fury on critical hits - Blindness on dodge - Quickness from the lightning jade sphere - Range attacks 600-1200 range - Great single target and AOE damage - The ability to stay in lightning if you want - less piano playing!! http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PGgAYJlFwoYXsKGJW2XdRVA-zRRYDBxJGVcjFSglQwRQFJg+HkwYP8A-e **Make sure to max might stacks, elemental empowerment, and sigil of cruelty stacks and click to turn on the fury boon if you look at the build link.
  10. Would love to see: --Ice Wyvern with cone chill breath and a knock down --Sea Turtle with a 'Guard' or protection and 'Sink' skills (water pet) --An Eel with maybe a daze leap and poison bite --Basilisk with a straight line stone gaze --Luminescent Grub with a blind, condi cleanse, and effect like torch in dark areas --Ice/Lava/Toxic Wurm with a ranged small aoe chill, burn, poison and a close range knockback --Osprey --maybe not a pet but as a "fishing rod" skin option --Bonesnap Turtle with a cripple and short stun --Cave crab/chak/karka with maybe a block projectiles and regen
  11. Here's quite a few new pet ideas - using a lot of what is already in game that our fearless rangers haven't successfully trained yet! The one's with **, I'd be elated to have as a pet. **Ice wyvern (AOE chill or chill aura since AI isn't great) Black Ram (just like the skin) Black Wolf (same) Cobalt Eel (since snakes are hard to do, one of the eels would be great!) Dolphin (underwater AOE heal/regen) Sea Scorpion (I remember the first time I ticked one of these off as an underpowered newbie, needless to say, I didn't survive, lol) **Sea Turtle (built in 'guard' skill to takes damage for you) Thundershrimp (see sea scorpion above, same story, I was not ready for underwater combat back then lol) Cave Crab (cool skin!) **Basilisk (straight line stone gaze) Earthen stalker (weak aoe bleed & blindness) Hawkeye Griffon (I wonder how many rangers would name it big bird) Sporeling (poison and a short daze maybe) Forest Grub (cool skin) **Ice hydra (now we're talking, any juvenile hydra, especially if we could merge into it, would be awesome) **Luminescent Grub (torch-like effect in darkness, aoe blind) Nightmare hound (because some sylvari don't like to follow the dream) Jungle raptor (maybe a small pack, with some rush and DPS but very low health) Rolling devil (cool skin and why not another saurian pet? bleed and short knockdown) Elonian Skale (regen, tank) Ridgeback skale (cool skin) Nightmare Sloth (straight line pull and weak torment) Vampire Beast (health steal and weak bleed) Wind Rider (aoe knockback spin and weak confusion) **Ice/Lava/Toxic Wurm (same as eel, these would be awesome) Karka (why not train a giant crab-like thing before going to Cantha?) Chak (why not train a giant magic eating bug to take on the next dragon that ate all that magic from Primordis and Jormag) Cave screamer (cool skin, maybe weak confusion and blind) **Osprey (not a pet, but allow rangers to fish with this bird!) Ley-line scavenger (cool skin) **Bonesnap turtle (from GW1, who wouldn't want a giant snapping turtle?) Kraken spawn (from GW1, giant squid..might be hard to do like snakes/eels, but would still make for a cool pet)
  12. Issues that seem to be appearing so far: - Attempts to sell seem to fail but remove items from your inventory, then they post for sale on the TP minutes later - Unable to purchase anything because selling prices do not load
  13. Anet, is there any chance you can make the Devil-rending axe glossy black versus the light gray that it is? The idea and look of the weapon are great, but the light color just looks weird/less dark and devilish than advertised 😞 And when armor is dyed to match...gray just doesn't work for the devil look. Black please! https://i.imgur.com/8HVYSlu.jpg
  14. I wonder if they'll make a hammer condition spec for EoD. Maybe ranger and toys with the idea of confusion damage. One would think there would be some confusion after being smacked with a hammer lol
  15. Call me crazy, but multiple infusions, including pristine dragon's eyes are for sale on the trading post. Like precursors and legendaries, you're looking at a cost of a few hundred to 3000g gold. The "high-end" infusions are different, talking chak, queen bee, etc., but there are plenty of shiny options available at lower gold prices.
  16. I like the idea of the armory, just not the legendary aspect of it-- and would prefer to see the concept opened up to more of the player-base -- either by adding ascended, or by making legendaries more accessible to casual players. For example, I have been playing for years now, since GW1, and had 2 GW2 precursors drop, making one (The Juggernaut). I wouldn't say I'm super casual and just complaining-- ranked 61,315 out of 306,929 for overall account value on GW Efficiency, and 3,670 of 322,794 for gold, but the idea of grinding tons of hours for legendary armor, or for the gen 2 weapons, just saps the fun out of it for me. Saying this after having gotten well into crafting Astralaria and just burned out and gave up on it. I'd love Nevermore, but not going to happen unless it goes for sale on the TP. I'd rather play the game, where and when I want to play it, and save up gold over time to buy it off the TP than to run around through a bunch of tedious collecting, with the wiki open to figure out where to find everything -- it just kills the immersion. Lastly, would love to see more Setting Options for players to turn off whatever visual noise they would like, not just giving that option to players wearing the armor, weapons, trinkets, and infusions.
  17. ANet, loving the discussion/debate/frenzy the new silhouette is generating!! Can't wait to see the others 🙂 With that said, here are a few thoughts/hopes for what we could see with End of Dragons new elite specs. Mesmer "Bladedancer" New weapon: Double-bladed dagger/glaive (mid-range, power-based) New mechanic: Shatters replaced with illusionary weaponry that builds up/costs clones New skill type: Stances Personal Note: I'm really hoping for this one!! Warrior "Monk" New weapon: Main and off-hand focus (fist) weapons (melee, power & condition blend) New skill type: Attunements Personal Note: This would be a cool take on the GW1 class and the Warrior-Monk dual classing that we could do back in the day. Ranger "Warden" New weapon: Hammer (melee, power & condition blend) New pets: Crab, turtle New skill type: Wards/Wells Personal Note: The Ranger-Warrior GW1 build was much-loved and seeing this as an e-spec would be awesome. Elementalist "Conjurer" New weapon: Short bow (mid-range, power & condition blend) New skill type: Preparations Personal Note: Who wouldn't want to play an elemental archer class periodically, seems like a no-brainer. Necromancer "Witch hunter" New weapon: Rifle/longbow (long-range, power based) New skill type: Deceptions Personal Note: I struggled with a name for this one, but I like the twist on necro as someone who dapples in necromancy and uses it to hunt evil. Guardian "Exorcist" New weapon: Spear (mid-range, power-based) New virtue type: Rituals New skill type: Phantasms Personal Note: Guardian has flirted with this with spirit weapons and the paragon training in Eye of the North. Would love to see this combination in End of Dragons! Thief "Apothecary" New weapon: Mace (melee, power and condition blend) New skill type: Elixirs Personal Note: The idea of an asura running around, chugging elixirs and dodging like a maniac just seems comical and hilariously fun! Revenant "Runeblade" New weapon: Greatsword New Legendary: Tengu-based New skill type: Glyphs Personal Note: Given all of the demand for a Revenant and greatsword, I'm sure this one would have a few fans. Add in the runic armor looks some armors have and perfection! Engineer "Golemancer" New weapon: Scepter/staff (mid-to-long range, condition based) New kit: Golems New skill type: Commands Personal Note: As my account icon alludes. I've been waiting for this since first playing an asuran character. For the love of magitech, please ANet!
  18. War glaive or glaive would be great/a fine weapon name. Looking at the image, it looks like both ends have the same pointy bits. I agree with folks that think the other shoulder is the character pointing or some asymmetrical armor to throw us off. Here's what I think the weapon looks like and could see it used as a mid-range power option for mesmers where it functions like a thrown dagger or a large spinning shuriken for playstyle. https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn8.bigcommerce.com%2Fs-to15yve7gb%2Fproducts%2F6194%2Fimages%2F6465%2Fdg15004fixa__98240.1526930429.500.750.jpg%3Fc%3D2&f=1&nofb=1
  19. I'll toss my hat in the ring and say it's a double-sided naginata, with spear blade tips instead of curved blades, and a short handle --- ie Asian style weapon + spear looking enough to keep us guessing + could easily be a two-hand weapon set with 1 or 2 power-melee skills (blade dancerish) and 3-4 large spinning shuriken-like throw skills to make it more mid-range! Think shorter version of that new double-bladed bo/staff weapon they added in the black lion boxes.
  20. I can't wait for the vital geode skyscale to go with the crystalline wings, dragonbash armor, the gem weapons from AP, etc. So shiny 🙂
  21. As the holiday's quickly approach, I find myself on the build crafter wondering what surprises or "at long last" subclasses/weapons the classes will get in the new expansion. I also wonder where the use of the factions (Crystal Bloom, Seraph, Ebon Vanguard) may be going. So, here are a few thoughts/wishes/hopes for the future expansion. New elite specs:Golemancer -For the love of all that is holy, please finally add this to the Engineer. Turrets are essentially human, the Scrapper is Charr, and we have nothing based on Asura magitech and golems yet? Bunnythumper -Whatever you want to call it, a ranger with a hammer would make a lot of people happy. Paragon -Not sure how many people loved this GW1 class, which the Sunspears centered around, but the one training in the Eye of the North in GW2 would be cruel if this is never added to Guardian. Gunslinger/Enforcer/Pirate -Pistol/pistol on Warrior would be cool, they need a midrange! Even sword-pistol would work with the pirate motif for many people. Mage-archer -The name needs work, but an elementalist with a shortbow or longbow, maybe geared towards a balanced split of power & condi damage on skills, would fit a missing sub-class in GW2. Vampire -Okay, so Necromancer blood magic is one thing, you know, kinda shamanistic, midrange - but give us a sword-shield to charge into combat with minions and wreak some weakness/cripple/stun/slow on enemies! Mindblade -I'm torn on this last one. Sword-sword, sword-shield is okay for Mesmers. And the Mirage blinks around so much that I cannot keep up with my screen and a migraine shortly follows, but what about a dagger-based mesmer- too close to thief? They already have an evade-based subclass, and thief has stealth and we don't need anymore of that...so what about one that does more with clones than just shattering them? I love the spiders and all that come out when Ibogas confuse you. Where are the faction mechanics going?Okay, so full disclosure - I'm primarily a PvE solo / play with those nearby if we happen to be doing the same thing kind of player. I absolutely long for the days of GW1 where I could gear up a small party of whatever class type combinations I felt like playing with that day/for particular content - hence why the paragon-general kind of theme worked for me in GW1. But, I think about it in Gw2 when it comes to content that I don't really have access to as a generally solo player - Dungeons, Fractals, Strike Missions. How cool would it be if GW2 allowed us to party up with up to 4 other NPCs and/or real players to take on the content that isn't seeing the play time it could because people hate waiting around for live players? They could even "control" power creep by having locked builds and class types - it would be amazing to be able to use gear on NPC party members like in GW1, but I understand the difficulty that might add, so use models already in the game for the "instanced" content like dungeons, fractals, and strike missions and watch them get a lot more play time from people who might hop online quick and want to knock something out, but not wait around for live players. Just some thoughts - I am really looking forward to the new Xpac and hope that some of these elite specs/weapon choices and the factions mechanic to improve, at least instanced play, happen. I do worry about this being the last expansion and what happens to the game as player numbers dwindle. It's bad enough as a generally solo player sometimes - more people will understand what I mean as the game population drops off like GW1 eventually.
  22. My winter break project - Oracle Of LightJust need to finish Astralaria :)
  23. Please consider removing jumping puzzles from collection requirements. It is terribly frustrating trying to complete the Winter's Presence items and having to deal with feeling vertigo repeatedly trying to complete the jumping puzzle. The easy path is hard for players who experience this, even the winding tower in Lion's Arch triggers it just walking up. Could a gold/karma sink or alternative activity be added? I'd be willing to drop 20g or 50k karma at this point just to avoid it.
  24. Greetings! This is the second day I've been unable to do the following: 1.) collect from home instance resource nodes, 2.) use limited daily use gizmos, 3.) charge a quartz crystal at a power node, or 4.) gotten daily login rewards. Any assistance you could offer would be most appreciated! I've tried restarting my computer, resetting my modem, logging out and back in my account. Nothing seems to work.
