  1. I just finished testing (again) each of the Ranger Spider Pets and none of their F2 Abilities work. They will activate and go on cooldown but never provide their intended effect. This has been an issue for a very long time, but with more recent efforts on fixing some longstanding issues I'm hoping this will finally get some attention. The skills in question are: Deadly Venom, Paralyzing Venom, and Weakening Venom Thank you.
  2. I'm not a fan of the amount of gate-locked content here either. In my case it's the weapon unlocks for the expanded proficiencies... Requiring a bit of story progress is fine but demanding 14 episodes is a bit much. If it was possible to skip episodes and just do the two that are actually required then I'd be ok with it... but requiring the entire story up to this point to be completed for a major selling point of the expansion is not enjoyable, nor wise, in my opinion. Again, this wouldn't be such an issue if there were more alternatives to claim the required items than what currently exists in game. Needing 500 Jade Heroics to skip the entire story isn't realistic for a large portion of the player base. We need either another alternative or for the Jade Heroics cost to be lowered. Honestly, I'm actually surprised that someone thought all this gate-locking was a good idea....
  3. I couldn't decide which I wanted more for Necro Swords, "power ranged aoe" or "condi melee". I'm def looking forward to this tho for sure! It seems like I won't have to rely on Axe alone for power ranged now, so I'm happy.
  4. Yeah MF stat changing is what I had to do, but that's got a bit of a price tag to it, and I could only barely afford that, and there may be others who can't quite yet. Still, if the chests have to be Core stats for whatever reason we need to be able to see that prior to purchasing the chests.
  5. I was really looking forward to getting Ascended Armor from the Vault since I don't have many of them. But after I bought 2 of them I found out that (could not preview the options prior to purchase fyi, that's an issue) they only included Core stat options.... I do have all expacs so all those stats are available to me through other means, but these Core stats are largely not very useful (most of them) and are stat options that are very cheaply available in the Trading Post as exotics. I'm really hoping this is just a bug or oversight. I would definitely not have spent the 800 AA on them if I knew their limitations. So, a preview option should really be present prior to purchases; and honestly, the chests are pretty worthless except for a couple of exceptions.
  6. I just uninstalled Guild Wars 2 for the first time in about 5 years. I need to move on because this isn't fun anymore, everything is so spammy and convoluted, not to mention inconsistent. Wish me luck finding something else.
  7. Uhm, what's the sitrep on Chaos Vortex...? The patch notes were contradictory, said no alac then said yes alac...
  8. Without using the specific example the OP gave for the "go wiki it" advice, I will say that I've noticed an increasing trend of impoliteness when it comes to referring people to the wiki, as well as derision for not understanding something in the wiki. I asked a question about the Halloween Clock Tower this last year and even said that the wiki page was confusing to me, so I was looking for clarification on whether the meaning was A or B. The replies I got in map chat were horrendous. Multiple people repeatedly telling me to just check the wiki page, even though I stated I already had and was looking for clarification. Finally, after being repeatedly scolded (literally and repeatedly insulted as well) for asking my question in chat instead of only relying on the wiki page, I managed to squeeze an answer out of someone who was the most insulting about the situation. Turned out they didn't understand the wiki page either because the information they yelled at me with and continually called me stupid etc. over, was flat out wrong. Turns out that the wiki didn't have the specific answer to my question, and they were using a different part of the wiki to give me an incorrect answer, all while chewing me out for being confused. This has not been an isolated experience either. I've stopped asking questions in chat almost entirely because it's just exhausting to constantly be scolded in one way or another for having the audacity to be confused by something in the wiki or not know where in the wiki something was. So, regardless of the OP's exact example provided, I will agree that there is a problem in the community regarding helping players with questions in chat. Of course, not everyone experiences this problem or is a part of the problem itself, but it does happen enough to be an issue worth being conscious of and repairing. The wiki is a fantastic resource, and I do recommend it often to players. But the manner in which we suggest it makes a difference. Too often the only response is just "Wiki it", instead of something more helpful like saying "Idk but Wiki might" or offering specific search terms as it can be complicated to know what to type into the wiki command to initiate your search. It's not a bad thing to recommend players to the wiki for the information they need, but the way we do it can be quite rude or less helpful.
  9. I'm just here to say that the Ele Scepter changes are wonderful! It's been my favorite Ele weapon for a long time but mostly because it was ranged and not Staff. The Fire 2 was always a major nuisance, targets would almost always just walk out of the thing which made the skill completely useless. Changing it to follow the target is great imo, as long as players can still dodge the actual drop of the tooth. Air 2 and 3 being single target always made me feel weak and vulnerable when in that attunement, and they felt very unimpactful. 3 targets is such a major improvement! Water 2 change is perfect, no further comment. Water 3, I think it should still heal allies on strike but I'm glad it's not ground targeted. It was always a pain to aim that properly unless melee was stacked on a target. I think it would be better if Water 3 splashed a heal either at the target struck or at the caster's location. Either would be acceptable to me. Earth 2 should feel much smoother to actually use with this update. The speed increase alone would have made a difference but I'm happy to see some barrier and resistance as well, unlooked for but quite welcome. Earth 3 being made to multitarget is great and I'm glad the blind is only on the first pulse. I wouldn't mind seeing an option to make blinds do bleeding or something to properly allow for more Condi options. Right now, with these changes it's looking like Scepter is mostly a power weapon with some condi added in. I'd much rather see an option to switch between power and condi depending on the build. Also, thank you for removing that annoying Catalyst 10% damage nerf on Air.
  10. YES! This please! I would love to see Scepter be focused into an all Condi weapon, with condi's on each attunement. I'm not really a fan of having to go Celestial just so I don't lose almost all value out of Water and Air in a Condi set up. I also agree that Ice Bleeds makes perfect sense and would like to see this on Scepter. Air I think should have a condi too, but I'm not sure which one would work thematically besides Vuln. Thanks for putting this out there!
