Honestly very cheap design wise I would have loved a bow that could have some empowerde shots or even a rockety skill but 4 ground targeted skills that all look the same? kitten you really went all over board with that one 🙂 Maybe a bit more range and an electricity charged shot as a stun. Two charges on a rocket or explosive shot. and a good range Would have been so cool to see rockets and explosives flying around maybe even combined with the rockets from the explosives tree. Very underwhelming design in my opinion.
  3. That still makes the changes absolutly useless which is the point of the post. They tried to nerf Fresh Air catalyst and nerfed Fresh Air weaver way harder with it. And you beat someone with an ele build after counter building? Congrats!
  4. Weaver is not the new burst. It has always had burst And pretty sure you would lose that money if you had two equaly skilled ele versing each other one with fa weaver the other with fa cata
  5. I am not really sure as to what you consider very good but i can tell you that fresh air weaver is not very good
  6. i think most people dont have the class knowledge necessary to understand what i m saying they see that they get clapped by catalysts so they want ele nerfs thats why theres so many confused emotes

Its not like fresh air was in a particular good spot at any time there have always been specs that could perform the same amout of dmg while still having more survive ability than fresh air and it didnt bother me since release of HoT But the nerfs just seemed completly random and absolutly out of context And i could pick up some kitten r*kitten spec but i refuse
  8. why is anet fixing things that dont need to be fixed? they are trying to nerf catalyst fresh air build and instead are hitting all the other fresh air builds harder than cata? why is superspeed duration cut in half? its not the problem with fresh air cata why are blinding flash ammunition changes reverted? taking away defensives the weaver needs more than the cata? i feel like they are having solutions for problems that dont exist FA weaver has never been broken in any way. The amout of defenses you give up for a bit of burst is just unfair compared to say a mesmer or thief Why is it being nerfed?

My hopes are that Flame expulsion deal around 1.5k dmg with say marauders amulett in PvP.With 10 stacks of might removed from yourself which should result in 100% increased damage that should be 3k base dmg. lets say you crit 6k on a light armor user which is still fine considering rev and reaper damage
  10. I would either love to have kits or just one "iconic" skill of each conjure weapon with a severly reduced cooldown. In case of the elite for example: make it fgs skill 3 with a 30-40 sec cd. Especially fresh air in wvw this would help you out a lot. You would finally have a good and fast way to cleave downed enemies.
  11. Pulmo is not a cc skill and therefore didnt have its dmg reduced to 0.01. Headshot is a cc skill and thus has had its dmg reduced.The grandmaster traits were the only reason air was a good traitline. Well and in case of fresh air it was the fact that swaping to air actually dealt dmg. Pulmonary Impact is a trait that functions the same and has a 3 second internal cooldown. It's an action that happens on interrupt. Guess what? It was hit very badly in February 25 update. (From 2.0 to 0.75.) It has nothing to do with nerfing ele , as cmc (the dev) stated that any damage that occurs concurrently with CC was going to be removed or reworked. Air magic also has base ferocity bonus, has a precision to ferocity conversion that makes marauder much more tenable, as well as close to 100% uptime on fury with concentration or boon duration if you run Raging Storm which also has a ferocity bonus as well. Even disregarding the CC factor, almost every damage skill was reduced 30-40%. Lightning rod was reduced from 1.2 to 0.95. Do the math that's ~20% or ~36% relative to PvE. ... People that only play one class should really stop complaining in every single profession forum. It's not just the elementalist forum, it's every forum.Did you play marauders amulett on ele in its current state? It hits like a wet noodleyou have to go berserkers even without all the ferocity buffs which lets you sit at around 14k hp with divinity runes.You have very low dmg right now for how few defensives you have And pulmo is not a grandmaster trait btw. Plus with headshot being a no cd stun it would be completly busted

  13. lightning rod weaver has been one of the very few viable ele builds in pvp atm. Fresh air has been nerfed to a point where the damage it offers is just not worth having the low sustain it has right now. is ele supposed to be a support only class or some kind of tank?
  14. OF nerf hit FA and LR way harder than it hit fire weaver. I understand that it was necessary to nerf fire and water weavers but why nerf fresh air? The damage ist a joke even when played berserkers. You cannot kill anyone so fast that it would make up for your ridiculously low defences. I cannot understand why OF got nerfed tbh. Not every class is the same and as mentioned before: other classes have other ways to defend themselfes like f.ex. high health pools blocks and so on. OF allowed you to actually be dangerous for 4 seconds.Not having to waste your dodges bc you have to evade symbols or mantras of a firebrand :') and actually deal dmg or heal yourself in the progress

Being untouchable while being able to deal damage for free with no restrictions for a few seconds against some one who does not have the same ability....... yeah it was an unnecessary change alright... Warrior can do that can't they? What about thf and pistol wipe. That's kinda an invuln but with evades, what about Gaurdain blocks that's kinda an invuln as well. I don not see your point. Ele has so little to begin with. Yes sword skills are op, imo any skills that has evade frames is op and shouldn't exist. Shuts it down like instantly Lets be clear hereinvulns are not the same as evadesinvulns are not the same as damage negations that dont stop cc and condition application etc Being invulnerable is in a league of its own and should be balanced as such if you cant see this then thats a bit of a problem. One has counter-play the other does not. Correction if you need a skill that makes you invuln to everything in the game while braindead running at a target and pulsing fire aoes for 90% of your damage then you lack proper skills. Fixed that for you. You clearly made valid points. However, in its current state, it is not that good, and I think twice before using it because of its lockdown.Elementalist is the most squishy profession and by choosing focus, you definitely kitten your damage or offensive abilities. Obsidian Flesh was a good part of focus identity. And it still can be a good part of its identity for defensive purposes. No other professions really should have the power to do this and truth be told most of them dont. I dont think ele should be an exception.The the way the game was progressing being unstoppable and untouchable while being free to do any amount of dps pressure you want with nothing to contest you is very imbalanced. Even if people were able to adapt on the fly and evade for the 3 seconds its still just not a properly balanced tool Skills like that simply should never exists without cost and in most games they dont. Many other mmo's ive played if you go invulnerable one of two things happens. 1: you cant take action against anyone aside from movement (and sometimes you cant even do that depending on the class and the game) In many cases you are rooted or movement is considerably reduced making it easier for foes to reposition which discourages the user from using that invulnerability power in an offensive manner and encourages exclusively pure defensive tactics around it.2 your damage is reduced so much that you dont bother using your skills anyways because you would basically be wasting cooldowns In gw2 neither of these things was happening which makes skills like this imbalanced. Invunerability is a very powerful tool and should be balanced in a league of its own. Not to be comapred with things like evades or endure pain etc. Having outgoing damage and condition duration be considerably reduced by like a big chunk like 66% or something while it was active would have perhaps been a more justified nerf how ever if the goal is to make all things some what standard it means limiting what the caster can do while its active in some way. Like i said the only other invuln that kind of breaks the rule is distortion and i feel the same way about it too. And that would be totally fair imo. Cause endure pain has multiple forms of counter-play and is not a true invulnerability. Not every class is the same. Some classes Just dont need invuln skills and still have enough ways to defend themselfes.I already mentioned it earlier in the thread but if you played some ele youself, you should know that you have cds on your attunements. This means you can not just Press your OF whenever you need it.Imagine playing weaver with arcane and any other traitline of your choice. You just swaped out of earth into any other attunement. Now you see a mirror blade flying right at you. To actually be able to avoid tge dmg with OF you would now have to wait around 4 secs to be able to swap to earth again just to wait another 4 secs to then get to your earth skills 4 and 5.By the time this happens you are probably dead. The only time you can use OF and benefit from it is when you are lucky enough to be in earth attunement when you see dmg coming at you. Lets say you took a big hit but did not die and you make it to OF in time.Now you are at 20% hp and locked out of all your healing skills. Prior to the Changes you could at least use OF to cover some of your own skills. Be it damage or healing. One could say just Take mistform on your bar so that you have a free invuln skill at all time.The way ele works just doesnt allow you to take it in its current state. At least imo. I think you just cannot compare every skill on every class with oneanother. Ele has arcane shield that blocks 3 attacks, mistform which is useless right now imo and twist of fate which has 75secs cd with no wa y of reducing it. OF gave you a bit of roam to breath and to be usefull. I get that a Lot of people have a certain hate towards ele bc fire and water weaver were so ridiculously easy to play in the last meta. But changes to OF do not only nerf fire and water weaver. In fact they nerfed fresh air and lightning rod builds very hard aswell.
