  1. I have a little over 8 hours waiting for this event... just a tad frustrating...
  2. As of the 13th, this still has not been fixed.... I did go back to the first one on the list, it popped for me. A tad frustrating...
  3. Hmmm... well depending on the diet, I would say beans... lots and lots of beans... or foods with lots of fiber.... so you might say "more tooting for the looting..."
  4. Well, back in the day, I had a set of characters specifically for PvP, WvW and the PvE. And at one point, I had a group that was only for fractals.I don't like transferring stuff between characters, it seems like a waste of time for me.Had to wait 15 minutes once for someone to find and move the accessories over the right character. So in part, efficiency. In GW, I had 54 characters... each one a little different than each other.Pretty much the same in GW2.Back when the NPE happened, I made a couple of characters, just to see how the experience would be different from before NPE (instead of the insta-level).Storage.....And pumpkin pails are cheap and 20 slots....
  5. For me, I really liked the Shing Jea Island and then eventually the Jade Sea. But, aside from these areas.... I did not enjoy it so much. I want it to be a part of the future of GW2 because it was our past in GW.
  6. This... Danikat hit is on the head pretty much for me.I would only add this... for its time, GW was where I spent 100% of my online time. For what it is, for the time it was in, it was and still is an awesome game.I loved it for so many reasons. But now, there is GW2, the next generation.Sure a few things are not the same, but I would say that in my opinion, it is a much improved game.GW2 gets about 90% of my online time, with World of Tanks getting the remaining 10%.Sometimes just need a break.I don't play GW now, except to check birthday presents.Interface is too clunky, not as user friendly to me, as GW2 is. Love both games for what they are and for their time in my life.
  7. I just cleaned out my for sale inventory, did not screen shot it, but... 6 years for a bandit tonic, the blue, orange, green, yellow bags.
  8. The norn woman in Holbrek that keeps saying, "I have not taken leave of my senses.... ", something to do with creatures made of steam and steel.... Or the little guy who is a merchant, in Rata Sum, who just does not understand what is meant by "move along", despite being a merchant....
  9. Check your mail; go to your home instance and talk to Simur Oxebone, I think his name is and do your advance training at his cooking station to get to 500. Carlos, thank you for the information, but I finished to 500.I had already completed the 500 on my main account. This was on my alt account so I wanted to see how far I could get, by cooking without the achievement open.493 was it.Actually gained 500 with the first step of achievement process, ie the Norn.
  10. Without doing the cooking quest, I was able to get to 492.... burned a lot of materials to get there... made several back pieces... more than what I will use....I did so some ascended prep, the ingots and such... on the stage of getting the cooking pots and pans done... should be 500 before you know it.. or at least hope so...
  11. Yeah, I have gotten this message a couple of times. It just means you are too fast and the system begins to think you might be a bot.Slow down a bit, count to 15 between each transaction and it will be fine. Yes, I thought it was odd too, the first time it happened to me.
  12. Well, nothing really keeps me from quitting the game.Hmm except that for me I find the game: Is RelaxingA place to be with friends, without the real life judgementsGot hooked by GW, but never really fit into a guild community there, but GW2 the guild community is strong and alive. I am an introvert and using the game and the various voice applications has helped me with my friends onlineI enjoy the game play and subject matterMy job is extremely stressful, I am able to work out my stress and anxieties through the game (sometimes my friends allow me to rant in voice, they are a very patient ear.)Because I don't want to quit....
  13. Really? Crafting is complicated? Time consuming, sure. Frustrating at times, ok. But complicated?, not really. Don't bemoan wiki, it is a very useful tool. So what if you have to look stuff up, I do too and I am willing to bet most people (not all, just so not to generalize) use some form of data aid, such as wiki or the forums. Its all part of learning the game. I would agree that crafting, if you don't have the materials, could get expensive, depending on your point of view.
  14. Hmmm.... if you look in your settings bar, you can see a toggle for other player sound effects and video effects.... I did that to get rid of the freaking unicorn sounds from my/others short bow.
