  1. Hum someone correct me if I'm wrong...but I don't think legendary gears have better stats than exotics. You can still experience with different builds of exotics to find what suits you the best as exotics are really not that hard to obtain. they do. ledgie = ascended stats,And are like 5% better than exoticsOkay my bad, I haven't looked much into post exotics yet ^^

  3. I'm not really sure...I mean sure an underwater mount would be nice and useful but other than that, I don't see what a new mount would add to the game as there's already a mount for basically every use. That being said, I wouldn't mind seeing a new mount popping up as an alternative to one that already exists. But I'd rather have the teams at Anet work on some more useful content.
  4. I don't watch a lot of YouTube videos about Guild Wars to be honest.I've tried at the beginning to look at some tips videos from some of the most known content creators in the Guild Wars community but one thing that made me stop is that they tend to stretch the videos as much as they can.And you end up watching a 20 minutes video that could should be 5 to 10 minutes long. I quickly switched to articles as it's much faster and easier to get the informations you need. As for just watching gameplay? Well, I find little to no interest in watching someone else playing a game I own honestly. Maybe there's also the fact that Guild Wars 2 is free (at least the base game). So if a new player watch a video and find it interesting, he can just go play himself and doesn't really have any reason to watch any other videos.
  5. No problem...but keep in mind that we actually thought of doing that yesterday and it only worked on this particular heart, the other ones were account bound items that I could only throw away.I have no doubt it's going to work on more than one heart, but I don't know on how many ^^'
  6. This is really true...I remember seeing a post of someone complaining about people not being social in the game while all he was doing was waiting for people to talk to him. Fun thing about Guild Wars 1 being MMO only in big cities...when I played it a while back, I didn't even know it was a multiplayer game =') (I was young and stupid)
  7. I'm running hearts with a friend who is a bit behind and there are ways to help, yes.Helping taking down a foe, helping reviving NPC...for the "gathering" hearts, we've had a heart yesterday where the items she needed to collect were not account bound so I could just them her my collect via mail ingame. But I don't know how often it is possible to do. But no, your kills won't directly go to his/her heart sadly =/ I usually tag along her see if I can help and if I can't I just gather all the materials in the area for a bit of money =')
  8. I usually get about 10 of those by doing a Silverwastes run.You can also buy them directly with Bandit Crests.
  9. As a lot of people said, that was a pretty bad move to boost your first character to level 80. Now the best thing I can tell you is...go around the map, do the story, work on map completion, check the Wiki to experiment the world bosses,... Any PvE thing you can do that will help you understanding your skills and what build you want.Start working on you crafting if you're interested in that... Basically do everything you would've done from 1 to 80 :/ The only thing post level 80 that you could maybe do is doing the first chapter of PoF to get the mount. Just to make moving around in the world a bit better. The problem is that there are a lot of things to do in the end game. Like a LOT.It'll honestly be a miracle if you don't end up bored and quit the game...the thing with having to much to do is that you risk to not know what to do, and to do nothing.
  10. Hello, Yepper, you are sure right. I'm slowing learning this game, especially after having leveled up to 80 on my own. PlacementStanceand then, and only then,armor/ acessories,/ etc.are best used in an particular combination. It is up to you to find your best combination, no? Yeah, that is how I like to play at least. I know there are website where you can find optimal builds for the content each content of the game. But I like more to play around with my own builds and test different thing. It's definitely a longer approach because you might end up spending a lot of hours into getting some gears to try out a play style that might end up being not fun or efficient. But at the same time, it makes playing the game more fun and rewarding for me. I am definitely more on the casual side of players.
  11. Bringing this post back from the dead to know if there's a solution yet?I am lacking mastery points to master the trained masteries. The easy solution would move forward to LW2 or HoT to get mastery points but I kinda wanna work on map completion first and don't want the game to force me in a path I don't wanna take yet. But it looks like this message will continue to popup every 10 seconds until I do so...
  12. I might be wrong due to the fact that I'm quite new. But to me, it feels like the game is more about your placement and ability to analyze the enemies and dodge, block, reflect at the right time than just relying on your gear.I always feel more comfortable relying of my ability to survive longer than on other people ability to kill faster than my health drops.
  13. I think the first step to resolve this issue is to be social yourself.Sometimes I just want to come and play as a solo experience, but I've never been ignored when talking or asking to team up for some events. The problem is that a lot of people want it to be a social experience without being social themselves. It's just not how it works.
  14. I mean, finishing the personal story won't really take you long now. And the last chapter is actually pretty cool. But yeah, as other mentioned, you can just go in the story tab and start HoT from here.
  15. I've reached level 80 not so long ago and here's what I've been doing = -trying some level 80 meta events and world bosses (or any bosses I didn't encounter while leveling up)-doing the dungeons I missed while leveling up and the explorable paths-started to craft my first weapon now that the Silverwastes meta events is bringing me more material (just a cool looking exotic weapon for now)-bit of map completion here and there when I feel like exploring-trying to get achievements tied to mastery points so I can get that auto loot...only 3 missing. It's just what I'm doing right now and I don't have 3 hours every day to spend into the game so it takes a bit of time already. But there are a lot more things you can do = -PvP-WvW-Fractals and starting to craft ascended gears-Heart of Thorns-PoF-LW Almost all of which I'm planning on doing except PvP and WvW (might try again at some point, but really didn't like the community in PvP and I'm more of a PvE player overall) There are probably a lot more things to do but I'm a fairly new player so I'm am not aware of everything the game has to offer. I hope it's useful regardless!
