  1. I actually never had experience in the lag that a lot of people have been talking about for awhile until this last week. I was working through my Skyscale Collection (I had been working on it slowly for the past few weeks without any lag whatsoever), and in Thunderhead Peaks while I was farming Branded Mass, I joined a North Meta run. It was only slight lag initially of maybe half a second or so, but once we got to the finale of the run, we started getting insanely high lag spikes that would lag for almost 10-15 seconds consistently. Others in the squad with me confirmed that they were also experiencing the same lag, so that confirmed it wasn't on my end.
  2. I know it's been 3 years...but I hope this does eventually happen. Having to reluctantly delete some books from my bank tabs is never fun.
  3. I had the same feeling initially when I started playing GW1 (Prophecies specifically). But, I can't say enough once I got out of Ascalon and into the Shiverpeaks my opinion changed pretty quickly. I started getting really into the mechanics of my interrupts, and the timing of abilities, and the difficulty of the game just made it so much more engaging for me.If you're willing to give it another chance, keep playing! Maybe your opinion will change with time. Also being a huge lore buff can help motivate things as well.
  4. Everything Strider stated is pretty spot on. A big thing for me that helped being late to the party as well with the Warclaw is hopping on discord with the zerg and learning where the next plan of attack was going to be. Once I knew of the location I would quickly use a WP (if possible) and then travel on foot to the outer perimeter of where everyone is meeting. (Most servers have a discord or a teamspeak for WvW, not sure if your server does, maybe you can look them up?) It can get chaotic and difficult on foot, but it's possible. Just takes a lot of pre-planning and anticipating/listening in on what the Commander is doing.
  5. A million times this. I remember when this game first came out how i fell in love with more realistic looks of dungeon sets and gear in general. Nowadays everything looks like a physical manifestation of a rave party. This is a very good way of putting it... As for how I think of the skin, it's definitely not my taste, though I appreciate that the male version is just as skimpy as the female version of the outfit. I think the thing that leaves a bad taste in my mouth about all of this is how it is locked behind the BLC, and can't be purchased outright, like the raptor mount skin that was just released.
