  1. If so my bad, but it was meant as a reply to Dawdler. I guess netflix and gaming don't mix well sometimes.
  2. That's not what I said, are you saying that it's the casuals, grandmas and grandpas that's doing all the complaining asking for nerfs? In matter of a fact the best person to ask is the one who brought the subject up. Here you go... Dawdler.8521 "In a time where everyone and their grandma complains about zergs and boonballs then a change that dumps β€œstrategy” on the few but let the many do what they always do is a bad change." I'm sure this person can explain it much better then I can. I just responded to this post.
  3. That may be true but we can't deny the vitriol vomit coming from those that advocate for so many nerfs that affect wvw gameplay. All geared toward the benefit of attackers, let's be realistic about this. These nerfs has been going on for at least a decade and people are still complaining even with the power creep in builds. Hell before I became a grandparent these nerfs was going down along with the occasional bot zergs of last year. Besides if casuals and and grandmas are complaining are they not the ones depicted as the "bad players", and if so why would "skilled players" constantly need Anet to give them an advantage? I've ask this question numerous times and I've yet to receive an articulate answer. Just a lot of obfuscation and snide remarks. This is foreign to me I never went through that stage nor do I know any family members, like that unless first provoked. As a skilled player I would be insulted to be babied and cuddled like that, needing someone to hold my hand in order to be effective. Adaptability is the name of the game if that don't work try a different game or game mode for awhile. It would be nice if people could just step back and chill sometimes and stop taking this stuff so seriously. Peace and health.
  4. We do have a number of new players with some still trying to find their footing. Give them some time they'll catch up, but I think the days of 20 beating 80 is long gone. Who wants to play a game with such imbalance unless of coarse there's been a influx of new players. I believe the best thing to do is learn to adapt in order to keep yourself viable. If weak in one area find another you're better at.
  5. Defending is easy I had a excellent night didn't lose a structure all day while i was actively defending it also today I had 3 towers under my care.I felt bad for giving those guys a hard time. When you have team mates to help keep the ball rolling it's pretty simple, like back in the day at the biggening of the game before everything started changing. 😁 Once I started following the zerg things were lost but it is what it is, Had my Spellbreaker so no pulls tonight but there were some very angry looking folks on the opposing team. One guy play hopscotch on my dead toon... LOL πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚, today was a good day I had fun. Nothing like shutting down a rush or evicting some uninvited door busting guests before they get too comfortable.
  6. Doing a barrage and jumping off a wall to attack a lone attacker while 20+ of his buddies are less then 900 unit away somehow don't seem the same. Had to make an addition, what's worse being a wall ranger and maintaining siege or manning an alt and spending the matchup sitting in the opposing teams structures and calling out weakness without any participation? The answer is pretty clear to me, so let's start calling those folks mount puppets.
  7. Actually this says allot about the "organized team/ guild oriented zergs", I read read it as being all fluff. If organized zergs are the most adept form of succeeding in wvw why is so many defense nerfs required. There's been numerous defense related nerfs in wvw in a relative short time span and it's still not enough for some people. Folks requests for this nerf and that nerf contradicts their own story line supporting organized zergs. It's more efficient especially when coupled with a numerical advantage but that's about it. I expect at least a few more nerfs before the end of summer and the influx of more players some willing to perform defense oriented tasks.
  8. That makes sense a lone ranger should jump down and take on 20+ attackers by himself, lol... If pulls are so good when warrior's staff pull was nerfed why was it given so many accolades as being a well deserved nerf, don't people know they have stability available? The double standards shown in critiquing skill balancing is mind boggling.
  9. Sometimes outside forces come into play in how a person dress out their character. For example sometimes one of the grandkids will sneak up on me and say "whose that?", after I explain they're like "I want one, I want one", next thing you know I running around with a pink haired, asian featured toon lol. But it's all good, it's just a game so everyone have fun and enjoy. Try not to take things too seriously.
  10. I don't think so, I believe just like in any other game players just try to accrue the best equipment they can. If we got to grind, might as well grind for something that'll do us some good.
  11. Maybe in the past it was because most folks didn't have upgraded armor and masteries. That may be why small groups were able to do so much, nowadays is all about the numbers of the groups and how many enemy alts are on your side. I know those guys make a difference in structure defence when they hop on seige and shoot off into the horizon or just stand there.
  12. But all I did was addressed a comment about builds where;'s the smoke for that post, pretty selective about your criticism huh?
  13. I do and having a blast with it, sounds like you need some diversity in your build. That's why I invest in celestial and not anything fancy looking, It's about what I need, not what looks good. Not bagging on anyone, that's just what works for me. One thing about GW2 everyone can play anyway they chose, selfishly, team oriented, in guilds or in a guild of one everything goes. Peace!
  14. All I know is what I saw less then a minute of refreshing a catapult that originally had about 15 minutes left to respawn. Just because everyone haven't witness it does not make it untrue. There are some petty acting folks in this game the forums and game play have proven that on a regular basis. I being a individual cannot say what you experienced or seen and that goes for everyone else. If I say i get targeted as soon as I hit the field no one can refute that, sometimes I switch maps making sure that the alts on that map see me in order to draw said opposing side to that map, it works every time. It's good to have a fan club.
  15. Hammer 5 is great at locking down slippery opponents or acting as a finisher or clean up tool. It gets the job done even if you're clicking your skills, it's there like a good friend ready to go to work.
