  1. Just popping in to say I really appreciate that y'all found a use for emblems of the conqueror. Thought they were gonna collect dust in my bank for all eternity.
  2. They mentioned a few months ago that they were coming....but nothing yet. We're soon gonna hit the NEXT Extra Life. Not a great look given that they were fundraising with that promise. I won't do it again, that's for sure. I'll donate through someone else.
  3. The actual trade off being vaguely suggested at seems fine enough, or at least I'm not bothered by it. I'm fine with having to do a little bit of legwork to finish off a portion of acquiring something new if it brings with it fresh new ideas on how to play the game. I'm surprised more people with enough hours in the game to have full leggy runes don't feel the same way, small price for an interesting shake up. As usual, though, rare and bungled communication makes everything 10x worse and more dramatic than it needs to be. They leave so much tinder for the forum fires for what could usually otherwise be small news.
  4. With a couple more of the common festivals for this content addition now passed, just wanted to give a bump and see if this was still on the cards for this year?
  5. Tried to do anom right after the patch in Gendarran at 11:20 CDT, but it did not spawn (or, alternately, spawned elsewhere/at a weird time).
  6. Not a single dev has said a single thing in almost 3 weeks, and I don't think today's gonna be different, friend.

  8. Yeah, unfortunately connectivity to instances has been a pretty long standing problem at this point across all modes which use them. Some places it's worse than others, but it was the straw that broke my interest in doing W2 trib.
  9. I wish I had better news for you, but unfortunately the best strategy for these old Orrian temple events is to just camp the location and watch for the defend event to pop. They are on long, instance-based timers, so there's really not much of a way to strategize a timing.
  10. Same thing for me. Took one character into the story, it crashed instantly, and now I cannot load that character. I also had another character on New Kaening with the chapter selected (but did not take that character into the instance) and that one has the same problem. Characters that I did not have interact with the new chapter at all seem to be fine. EDIT: As above, this seems to be fixed.
  11. That did the trick, thank you! The wiki page simply said that you need them account-bound, not that you needed to have both literally equipped at time of talking to Dozza. Much appreciated.
  12. I just completed a second Aurene's Fang, but Historian Dozza just gives me the dialogue box as if I do not have them. I hope this is something that can be fixed retroactively. Image proof Problem solved by post below. Needed to have them equipped, not just account-bound; will probably go look to clarify the wiki's explanation of this process.

Just to re-iterate a comment I'm glad to already see in here a few times: As someone with thousands of hours on scrapper, thank you for reverting this change, but I really encourage not wasting any more time trying to fix something that isn't broken. How gyros currently work is the very core of the spec, and there is just no need for a "solution", not least when there are many other things that are in need of one. I hope that y'all will once again hear us on this and let gyros be as they are. Thanks again.

  15. I had the exact same experience. I get why they wanted Cantha to have an even day/night cycle, but the subtlety of it is going to make these Canthan dusk/dawn fish a regular point of frustration for players as they'll only learn by luck or by happening to post/read the forums like this.

  17. Yeah, I'm pleased with the changes to it and Salvation as well. As you say, it's not as strong, but it's actually fun to use now and it feels like you actually have choices to make.
  18. There never has been and never will be a lauded balance patch. Happy and neutral people, the vast majority, will just go enjoy the game. Upset people will be the only ones to come post on the forums and be loud in chat. I'm over the moon at the simplified squad building and the increased boon class options this patch brings, and many others are very happy with other changes. You just aren't really gonna see them here cause they're off playing the game, not keyboard smashing.
  19. As mentioned by some here, plenty of important and long-standing characters have been killed, from early on in personal story up to no less recently than mid-IBS. The argument is not in good faith. A portion of the community's neverending hate obsession with Taimi is like an embarrassing pimple that will never go away, always betraying their immaturity.
  20. Yeah, I've completed it a few times and failed it a few others, but the one constant is that the bells seem to be a waste of time at best, and literally not working at worst. When I have seen it succeed, we were just focused solely on murdering anything with an event target, or anything named "Speaker" and just hoping we would fill the bar enough.
  21. I'll have to wait to see how it plays out a bit to have much of an opinion on the actual change itself. I think as things stand for the game at large it's probably for the better, but we'll see. However, this is just another strange quirk in the team's ever-changing approach to transparency and communication. Lots of direct interaction on the forums, total radio silence and no changes for months, sudden changes with no explanations? Who knows, spin the wheel.
  22. Yeah I'm also of the opinion that something is just wrong code-wise with it since EoD. Before that, it seemed to mostly do its job alright, but now it's much harder to figure out what's triggering it, especially in weird places like ViP hubs. One thing I think people forget about the map closing system that can sometimes make it seem more arbitrary is that it's also used (so far as I've been able to tell, anyway) as a means to reset all of the cycles on the map. For maps that have little bugs or unlikely hitches in their event chains (or even for just when something weird happens and perma-stalls something), making sure a shard is only open so long prevents such bugs from being a problem for long periods of time. Obviously it's only a band-aid, but it's a god-send for anyone who needs a particular event for something only to come back and see it still broken on the same shard over and over. For this reason, I think maps prompt to close after being open x hours no matter the population on them.
  23. Just speaking from experience on seeing these happen in the past, I've seen people have some success asking near the end of metas (e.g., people trying to claim Auric Basin's right after Octovine). Especially if you're willing to toss in a small tip to your helpers to make it worth their while, you'll probably get enough bites to clean it up. So I would try maybe posting, tagging, and announcing in chat near the end of a successful Aetherblade Assault meta. If you do offer a tip, make sure to "raid lock" the squad to 10 members so you don't bankrupt yourself! 😄
