  1. As someone who (once upon a time) had to "grind" out the Skyscale myself... personally, I don't see the harm in having it sold in the shop now. Not only does selling it make good business sense - I think it's also a great way to allow people who are unwilling (or unable) to farm the mount in the "traditional" way, to enjoy the content ANet has created. Besides... it's been what, three years since this mount was released? I think it's safe to say that most of us Skyscale pioneers have already had a good, long ride with this mount. It's time for us to hand over the reins and let those who want to acquire it in an alternative way, join in on the fun too. 🙂 PS: I guess there will be some logistical problems for people who are halfway through the collection, but perhaps we can compromise and allow some of these collection items to be sold?
  2. Honestly, Anet should just create a blanket toggle option to hide ALL other player generated models, visual effects and sounds (except player nameplate) - so essentially it looks like you're playing a single player RPG except you still have the green player names floating around. Heck, they should include a quality setting called "Potato Computer" that even hides enemy NPC generated visual spell effects and sounds!
  3. Personally, the only thing I missed about WoW was its super huge open world maps. Other than that, I feel that GW2 trumps it in almost every other way. Also, I think ANet might have chosen to go with DX9 to cater to lower performance computers?
  4. Never thought of that. Sounds like an interesting plot twist.
  5. Yes, please! I've wanted this since GW2 was first launched. It's annoying, especially for those three-skill-chain long moves with text you've seen a billion times.
  6. Tengu, hands down. While I don’t have the figures, I’m pretty sure getting a new playable race / class is probably going to be a top draw for most RPGs. I mean, the point of a role-playing game is to literally allow you to do role-play, and what better way to do that than allowing you to project a customized avatar of yourself into a world ready for exploration? I totally get that re-rigging armor and hiring voice actors for historic content is probably a big pain, but perhaps this can be circumvented by simply NOT making these options available to new races at all (ie old armor can’t be equipped, and old storylines aren’t accessible)? IMHO, this also makes canonical sense, especially for the isolated Tengu, since they didn't really play a significant role during the major upheavals of the Zhaitan / Modremoth events. Personally, I don’t really need my spiffy new Tengu to have to go beat Zhaitan all over again when I could be spending time rampaging down newer frontiers. Of course, I’m not sure what you guys think about this?
