  1. those skins from Gem Store are not the best tho. It is mostly based on personal opinion
  2. More and more games are already developed a seasonal pass system. The sub system is starting to fall out and lately people do not really want to pay sub anymore because it make them feel like they need to play the game otherwise $15 a month seems like a waste. I believe Anet is also developing Seasonal pass or things like that. The game need to generate more income for the love of god. Not many people is actually swiping their credit card and help them out and it has been proved lately - EOD should have been released years ago, the laid off, the cancellation of new projects, the rush of contents, the lack of budget. I am 100% confidence that they are making something to generating more income instead of just putting shiny skins on the market. Seasonal Pass is a new way for most games to make money, and I would love to see them do it. It is an optional thing anyway, no one force people to purchase them, non p2w in Gw2 unless people pay IRL $ for carry, beside all that I do not think Seasonal pass is a bad idea short-term or even long-term.
  3. ESO has a remarkable and pricy Cash shop where people cant use ingame currency to buy those items. ESO players have been pissed for a long time because of the greediness of ESO Cash shop but at the end they have new expansion every 2 years.
  4. Again you all want new things, new contents but do not want to chip in. Well you guys actually got what you ask for - EOD should have been release a year or 2 years ago but no it has been 4 years and still counting. Who knows when are we going to get the new expac? may be another 4 years? Well I believe 4 years later the game is too old to compete - WoW is always changing, FFXIV Gw2 cant compete to that tbh, RIOT MMORPG is under development, New World looks promising and for the love of god they have Amazon so financial is not a problem, Ashe of Creation idk about this but it looks ok and more and more good MMORPG will be released. Do you think Gw2 in the next 4 years - a 12 years old MMORPG can compete with those ? I don't think so
  5. Where is the pay 2 win ? Where is the winning ? The game has no gear progression, PvP is not gear related, WvW is Zerg vs Zerg - 1 man cant fight 50 other men. How can you possibly see the p2w figure in Gw2? you must be high. My idea is for people to have an option to skip some reward tier if they are busy with work or family business. The Season Pass only provide some extra things with some exclusive skins within the season and then those skins are going to the Black Lion Market after the season ends.
  6. I do not think so, look at popular games with those system. They actually generate more income and provide more solid contents because of those who bought the seasonal passes.
  7. Then how can people support Anet then? Buying Gems is not enough and it actually has been proved so far. 3-4 years for a new expansion is just too sad compare to other big MMORPG - WoW, FFXIV, ESO, BDO provide new expansion every 1.5 - 2 years routine. Living World Story cannot be count as new expansion to be honest, it is just a bunches of story with new currency and new map with some new achievement.
  8. People always ask for more content more expac but where is the budget ? Without Gemstore the game was probably dead years ago with Buy 2 Play system. People always want something for themselves but they do not want to give things away. Who does not like new contents but who will give them money if the game has no gemstore and no sub system? Will you invest million of dollars for them? I guess not
  9. Well there are plenty of ways. 1. If you want to gain point to reach the reward tier you should run Citadel of Flame path 1 2 3 or something like that 2. To receive the point you need to loot an item from this boss from this dungeon 3. To receive the point you need to combine an item from this dungeon and that dungeon
  10. I bought about 5000 Gems every 2-3 months just to support the game but only a small amount of number do the same thing. If they give us things like seasonal pass and the only way to purchase with real life $ then it would make a big different. Swiping credit card wont help reviving contents that have been dead for years such as dungeons, the way I am trying to do is to make people go back to play some old content
  11. Hi guys, in this post I would like to talk about the way that we player could support ArenaNet more so they could release more contents and expansion in the future. So, here is my idea: I believe Gw2 needs a Seasonal Reward/ Pass where players can purchase it with $15- $30 every season (3 months). The pass can only be purchased with real life money, then players can work for the rewards, if someone want to boost the progression they can use gems to skip a tier (200 - 300 gems per tier). This seasonal pass system can help reviving some dead or old contents in Gw2 such as running Dungeon, Dead or very low population living world story map, world bosses, meta train from some dead maps such as Verdant Brink, Dragon Stands etc. It could also help reviving the price of the items in the Trading Post, some items in-game is actually worth nothing. Some rewards from the Seasonal Pass should be limited during the season and when the season ends, Anet can use them and re-sell it in the cash shop with a reasonable price (from 400 - 800 gems depend on which items). Whoever finish all the reward tier from the seasonal pass can get a 5%-10% discount for the next seasonal pass. There should not be a pay 2 win item within the Seasonal Pass, the pass should only provide cosmetics and some convenience item such as bank slot, inventory slot etc. The reason I want Gw2 to have this is because the game is basically pay 2 play and it is pretty cheap to be honest. Plus, the game has a plan to go on Steam and it would be great if they have something exclusive every 3 months to gain more players. Anet has done a great job however, new expac every 3-4 years is a long time and I know they are lack of income sources and low budget. I love Gw2 and I would love to see it continuing to grow with more players and more expac. Let's me know your idea below and thank you for reading this. FYI: English is not my main language so please be patient with my English and grammar. Thank you
  12. The whole PoF expansion got leak 8 months before it released which makes me believe if Anet says they want to release EOD in 2021 then they should have something to tease.
  13. FFXIV revealed their expansion before their story chapters were finished. I don't know why Guild Wars 2 is waiting this long. Different companies have different procedures often for a reason. The FF XIV fan base, due to the popularity of the IP, is baked in. They can afford to do things differently. Guild Wars 2 doesn't have 15 different games spread across console and computers. And the style of development at Anet seems to be to work on a bunch of stuff, much of which changes as it's developed. They have an iterative style. So if they announce something now and it changes, the playerbase will be up in arms about the change. We've seen this happen before. Some people think bad publicity is better than no publicity but I'm not always sure that's the case. Anet, for better or worse, is locking things into place before they talk about it. Given how this community has reacted to changes in the past, I'm not 100% sure I blame them. I don't actually think it's the best strategy personally, but I can see why they do it the way they do it.Sure Anet does not have 15 different games spread across but at least they do not have to spread their investment into 15 games, all they have is Gw1 and Gw2. What do you mean Anet has to work on a bunch of stuff? They cancelled their new project, laid off and then hired more people, Anet has approximately 350-400 employees, let's say 200 of them work on Gw2 because besides Gw2 they only have Gw1, no new project or anything else. What "bunch of stuff" you are talking about? Take Blizzard for an example, sure Blizzard is a big company, they have Overwatch, Starcraft 2, Diablo and WoW, but if you look closely only WoW generate money for them and WoW' income have to use for a new project and cover the loss of other games. In the end, WoW players will receive a new expansion every 2 - 2.5 years and not to mention every 3-5 months they have a new patch which is very different compare to the previous patch, not to mention Blizzard only has around 250-300 people work on WoW. Compare to WoW or FFXIV, Gw2 expansion does not bring a lot of different things into the game. The gear progression is basically the same, gameplay same etc. Gw2 Expansion only brings new maps, new elite spec - this is not even a new class, new transportation system - Gliding in Hot, Mount in Pof, new story - DONE. If you look at FFXIV and WoW, every expansion seems like a new game. Gw2 has not been upgraded for ages, the artwork looks old and it stays the same that way, no world render or re-design, class and elite spec system has been the same for ages. The game has 9 classes 27 specs but only some specs are viable in some particular content - For example who plays Scrapper in Fractal anymore? who plays Condi Mirage and Chrono anymore since the Confusion nerf (The Confusion nerf is just stupid, it basically destroyed a whole meaning of the class)? who here thinks Condi Scourge DPS is good? Thief does not even have a good condi build in Raid or Fractal and who uses Deadeye in Fractal and Raid anymore. Who here can see a Herald in Fractal or Raid? I do not understand why Anet put a bunch of their employees in-game and do not even recognise what is happening to their game.
  14. Hype is always a key element to boost up sales. Your expectation might not reach but at least they could have a great sale number and that is what Anet needs at the moment
  15. I know it has been a rough path with all the Covid crisis and work from home. However, I would love to see Anet tease some new content from EOD. Anet has been completely silenced about EOD, all we know is some random artwork on wiki and stream. They need to throw some info out there so people can build up the hype. There is nothing wrong to build hype for the new Expansion. At the moment, we do not even know when will EOD is going to be released, there is no roadmap no info about it, and they need to keep in their mind that FFXIV is going to release their new expansion in Summer 2021 and they have a bigger market than Gw2. In the worse scenario, EOD might be delayed further into 2022 and if that happens then it will be a huge bummer because there are not many things interesting anymore. COME ON ANET GIVE US SOMETHING !!!
  16. Can you sell me a Chuka and Champawat right away please So your argument is Gen II legendaries are too hard to get now? P.S. it's still a luxury item.Supply and Demand brother not about legendary.
  17. Can you sell me a Chuka and Champawat right away please
  18. Because the Devaluation of T6 mats can be more easily explained; just looking at trading data show the supply has been increasing for most of the materials for around a year now, this coincides with the releases of the Drizzlewood maps Yes... thank you for pointing this out.My point is this:Players who make this complaint (and we have seen a few over the past year or so) always point to how hard to makes crafting a legendary. They never acknowledge how much easier their loot farms have made it, how much faster it is to accrue t6 mats thanks to Drizzlewood or the Volatile Magic Farms. All we hear are the sob stories.Making a Legendary item in this game has never been easier, but these posts about Mystic Coins that cry "what about the casuals making legendaries??" don't stop.I am not even a casual player and I find out even with everything I do daily I can only make around 5-6 coins per day per 1 account. I am talking about Supply and Demand mostly. There is more demand than supply for the Coin market and a lot of TP Baron know that so they are holding coins especially Goldrim who holds approx 500,000 Mystics Coin and his account worth 16.3 million gold. Just this morning the moment I posted this discussion, the Coin price was 3 gold because some guy just purchasing a huge amount of coins on the market. I even know some people who have around 20k - 50k coins in their banks. They are all waiting for EOD and Steam release to jack up the coin price to 4 gold. When Coin reaches 4 gold each, Legendary Gen 1 price is up, T6 mats will also back to primetime. Not to mention, new legendaries might also be released with the expansion. I do not know how many Legendaries you have crafted but as a person who has unlocked 75% of the legendaries items in this game and I am crafting new legendary every 2 or 3 weeks, I am still finding out it takes too long to collect enough coins. You and I might have time to focus on grinding for legendaries but you need to have an open mind and think about the real casual player who has like 2-3 hours of game times per day. I have done some surveys with the real casual players, and trust me when I say it takes them approx 7-8 months for 1 legendary. There are a lot of contents in this game and what is fun when you only have 2-3 hours of game time and have to grind for something you want in a game. Remember this, Gw2 is a game, not a 2nd full-time job. Making a Gen 1 is easy but Gen 2 is a bit different, sure you get the clovers then what? Those 250 Mystic Coin for Mystic Tribute is not free. About the devalue of T6 Mats, the value is going down because you can grind that mats but for the coin, you have a limited way to do it. Grinding t6 map is not that easy either to get a full stack of T6 it takes hours too, it is not as you go to Drizzle Coast, goes around does some events here and there, and kaboom 1 stack of T6 mats. Stop using the word "cry" lol, people have the right to mention and discuss. If you do not like these posts so stop reading them. It is not that hard. Using words like cry does not make you superior compare to others. You might have a top value account in Gw2, you might say crafting legendaries is easy for you, well Good for you then. However, you need to stay open-minded and respect other people opinion
  19. If you are a PVE-Only player then yes Mystic Coin is the only source of Mystic Clover. For WvW Drizzlewood coast reward track is unrepeatable, for other reward tracks its about 2-4 Clovers per final box and I think it might be the same for PVP. Even if I dedicate all my gaming time (16 hours per day) to just doing WvW at most I can get 2-3 Final Box which is about 12 Clovers per day.
  20. Mystic Coin scarcity is a big problem for the Gw2 Community atm in my opinion. I understand it is a free market but Mystic Coin's supply and demand gap is getting bigger every day. There are only a few ways to get Mystic Coin per day such as Ley-Line (1 coin/day), Fractal Challenge Mode (avg 2-3 coin/day -RNG), Monthly Login Reward (20 coin/day), and WvW (6 coin/ week if you finish all the rewards). For Legendary Gen 1, you need around 231 Coins for 77 Mystic Clovers, and for Legendary Gen 2, you might need at least 481 Coins for Mystic Tribute. So if you do everything you can get around 5-6 Coins per day and even with a static team for CM fractal you need to spend at least 1 hour just for Fractal, it will take at least 1-2 days to finish WvW track if you dedicate all your game time to WvW - 1 day if you get lucky with Outnumberred all days, for Ley-Line you might have to do it right after reset otherwise you can't because not many people do it these days. All that for 5-6 coins per day, in my opinion, this is stupid, and not to mention if you grind your balls out for gold to buy coin it will also hard to get the coins at a good price since there are bots on the TP market and not to mention those TP Baron who controls the coin market as well. Take Casiano/Goldrim for an example, he has 10 million gold worth of coins, and right now he is keeping it to drain the Coin's market and push the price to 4 gold. There is nothing wrong with it if you are economy players or hardcore players, but if you play the game casually it is just so hard for you to craft just 1 single legendary. Right now, the demand is huge but the supply is very limited because not many Gw2 run CMs Fractal and Ley-line Daily. Not to mention, there are so many afkers and bots in WvW, you can see a lot of people around in WvW maps but most of them are doing wall running or afk just for Weekly Reward, it kills WvW, to be honest. EOD expansion and Steam release will be here soon and demand will rise big time, supply will also rise but the supply changes will not be that much anyway. Here is my suggestion: -Bring back the Mystic Coin Reward for Daily as we had years ago - 2 Coins per day, it will be enough ( Still need at least 89-90 days for someone who only login and do dailies to craft Gen 1 and at least 150-163 days for Gen 2). It will not break the Coin market, the price will stay around 1g50 - 2g most of the time. It might boost Anet Sale too, there will be a ton of people will buy alt account just for 20 coins per month and 2 coins per day. -Anet needs to have a bit of control of Gw2 Marketplace to avoid inflation. The coin is reaching 3 gold at this moment and who knows how further it can rise. Remember when coin price was 15-20 silver per piece and not is might get to 4-5 gold, how crazy is that. Those things above are just my opinion and suggestion. Let's me know about yours in the comment section below and thank you for reading and replying
  21. I agree that Anet should improve its gemstore. However, putting those endless things on the gemstore is a bad idea because it will decrease sale and income for Anet. Think about it if Anet put those things on the store for either 2000/4000 or even 8000 gems there are people willing to spend that much money to get it and then it will be it. Then who will purchase the 1-time use utilities? Who will buy more keys? etc.
