You can make it work, but you have to put in a lot of effort, and even then the results are not great. Most roaming builds on other classes are superior in dps, sustain and mobility. Some are just unbeatable in competent hands. Together with Mesmer also not shining in any other part of WvW and supposedly being the Duelist Profession this feels just wrong.

I played around with it a bit, too. If you switch to Ineptitude over Deceptive Evasion you can create insane stacks of confusion which makes many enemies self explode. I think it is weaker in duels, but awesome in a +1 situation.

That could be said about pvp and wvw too you know? Yeah they should totally balance pvp bosses around existing class balance. =)

Especially on power builds. I have no survivability, I have no mobility, I have no damage. What am I even supposed to do?

Classes should not be balanced around raids, raids should be designed around class balance.

I agree that Chronophantasma is maybe not a good choice in a clone spam shatter build, but I also agree with the energy sigils for the reasons others have already said. Against heavy condi pressure cleansing might work better.

On Mesmer after you 1-shot someone you have to immediately stow weapon or it doesn't count!

If you are in downstate and someone kicks you off a cliff hold down the #2 key. As soon as you hit the ground you will instant teleport, resetting your momentum and preventing fall damage, much like Continuum Split used to do before they nerfed that. This saved my life exactly once, on the red borderlands map. Now that I posted this they will nerf it.

Their language Kung Fu may be as good as their social media kittens, but their Balance Fu is weak.

Nerfs to Chaos (especially Bountiful Disillusionment and Method of Madness), Inspiration (Signet builds) and Illusions. Oh and a nerf to the Domination boon removal traits.

Many professions have more mobility than Mirage, let alone core Mesmer.

You can't argue with data, and the data says at least one person is still playing Mesmer in WvW. That warrants a big nerf with coming with the next balance patch.

I guess some people like that. I guess some people like opening a million boxes in their inventory, with even more boxes in boxes. And many different kind of boxes. That don't stack. I hate that. Abstract it all away. I don't need the game to give me chores. I don't understand why some people want that. -
Maybe it would be fun for a week to have every single trait of each trait line active at the same time. Like all of them at once. ^ . ^

I guess there are a few sweet teleport spots in PvP. In WvW staff seems useless after all the nerfs it received. It used to be much better, but Mirage ambush ruined it.

I don't even know what staff is supposed to do. You can get a bit of protection if you trait for it, that's it.
