Virtuoso changes for Beta 4 = damage reduction on most skills for PvE

Sorry for the inconvenience, the web guy is busy working on Virtuoso. -
Thoughts (and prayers) after coming back to GW2

I think they made a lot of valid points that you seem to just brush away. -
Nice, looks like you're having fun with it. 🙂

Thoughts (and prayers) after coming back to GW2

100% true. A lot of developers have left the company. Mesmer looks as if it were the ones who liked Mesmer. -
I'm 100% fine with removing Chronophantasma.

I made that joke 3 posts earlier. 😜

The starting zone has all the PvE content I need.

Good idea, but doesn't go far enough. In order to actually attack the blades need to be able to move around freely, so they can walk towards the opponent. Since that would be a bit OP opponents should be able to attack and kill the blades. Perhaps change their model. There, I fixed Virtuoso. 😁

This is not the thread necro board.

I didnt quit but I play a lot less than I used too. The main reason for that is lack of balance in WvW and how utterly helpless Mesmer is against certain roaming builds. Especially Thief builds. I don't think there is any other matchup where an entire profession is completely helpless against others to this degree.
-
I agree that core Mesmer traits need a rework.
-
Poster said they are only duelling, though. They can just choose to not duel that build. That build is useless in bigger fights, useful in roaming only if they can force the opponent into a duel and that build can't hold a node in PvP. So it's mostly useless and only strong if the opponent plays into its strength.

Hehehehe... yes... hehehe an oversight... *giggles madly*

Virtuoso Blades should have different Formations [Illustrated Example]
Yoci.2481 replied to Mordeus.1234's topic in Mesmer
Not the worst idea in the world. If only there were more people working at ArenaNet. -
The shatters should keep their cast time (perhaps a bit shorter) and they should work while moving and perhaps without facing the target. But making them instant would make them too strong in melee because of the lack of counter play opportunity.
-
CS is really hard to balance, though and will always make a good spec OP. If they ever make power Chronomancer good again they will have to do something about that. Either remove the cooldown, position or health reset it provides. This is under the assumption that Chronomancer will ever be good again.

You're welcome. I think your video shows that Virtuoso has potential. It is clunky and the traits are lacking, but with some tuning it could turn into a very fun "class". -
I think some of you need to let go of GW1. It's a different game with much different mechanics.
-
Except for All's well that ends well you named all the traits I actually like and find useful. Time catches up should just be a built in mechanic for Mesmer in general. Illusionary revision can help create a nice flow of three to four 3-clone-shatters and I personally prefer it over the +15% crit chance for 2 seconds once every 30 seconds. And quickness is just great in general. Being able to fit more casts into CS is great. Shorter interrupt window, more GS 1 laser pew pew. If something needs change it would be merging Delayed Reaction and Danger Time into a single trait, so we can actually get some significant slow application without being forced into turtle speed clones.
