  1. Theres a spot at a certain tower that shall remain nameless where you can teleport from outside the tower completely to right by the lords room. Mesmers drop ports and the zerg gets to bypass running through the choke into the tower (this isn't just hypothetical i've seen it done) . You're right though, this only works if a wall or gate is down so the path is technically valid.
  2. Teleporting up cliffs. IE shadowstep/blink up them. Many skills already have different PvE/PvP/WvW versions, they could apply the change only to the appropriate game mode if you're worrying about having to clear trash
  3. I've always believed this was a bug, something they never got around to fixing. Playing around with shadowstep myself and finding it only works in certain spots makes me believe I was right. Finding spots where I can teleport from upstairs to downstairs through the floor furthers that belief. What do you guys think? Is this working as intended, or is it time to take a look at this now that they're paying more attention to WvW
  4. yeh if you get stuck in a matchup where enemy team outnumbers you the majority of the time to the point they can tier up your ebg keep, just find something else enjoyable to do with your time, whether it's on a different map or outside of WvW or the game itself. Denies them content too. Win Win.

  6. Yeah I doubt we'll ever see a version of world restructuring/alliances we were told about, since a main goal was population balancing. Balanced populations = less gem sales. I'm pretty sure one of the suits or shareholders figured out this would negatively impact gem sales and killed the idea, then the devs 'forgot' to tell us about it. We may see some form of world restructuring that allows them to keep or even improve gem sales from transfers
  7. sounds like a real serious fight there -kappa- seen many groups get wiped while doing this when an actual organized group shows up
  8. the issue isn't giving blackgate one of the lower population links, it's the massive bandwagon that comes with it. Then you end up with a full server linked with a high pop server, which is what is happening with BP/FG right now.
  9. JQ went from link server status to very high in a couple weeks. It's just dumb. At least the stacked servers get to face off next week, then everyone can start throwing to try to stay out of t1 as usual.
  10. I realize this is a necro from last year but just going to say i think this bit is a mistake. addressing the time zone imbalance should be an integral part of restructuring not an afterthought

  12. thief portal should never have made it into WvW. Playing hide and sneak with the perma stealth deadeye in your keep is just not fun, this problem is especially bad in desert bl where the keeps are huge.
  13. Just play condi, then you don't have to choose between offensive and defensive stats, you can have both with no downsides
  14. So I just have the basic garden plot. I planted 4 varietal peppercorns, then after reset I did a home gathering with a guildie and they had the old homegrown onions and stuff, I guess they didn't plant varietal stuff the previous day, not sure how that works. Anyways I harvested those nodes and then afterwards I went to my home instance and there were no peppercorns, just 4 open soils. Not sure if this is intentional or a bug. If it's not a bug i guess this is just a PSA: harvest your varietal nodes first or just leave the garden nodes alone in other home instances.
  15. i like the idea, those numbers are way too high though. 75% damage reduction is nuts by itself, then you deal 100% more damage as well?something that scales dynamically like 5%/5% if you're just outnumbered enough to pop the buff up to like 20-25% if you're way outnumbered would be more appropriate. gives you more of a fighting chance but the side with more numbers/better coordination will still probably win
  16. i think it definitely tweaks,Make it ascend faster but drain your altitude bar quicker too, so you'd get to the same height you do now just quicker. A bit faster endurance regen too. Those two changes really wouldn't allow you to get anywhere you can't already get now with it, just allow you to get there faster. I think directional dodging would be great on this mount and fits with the hover thing but would be more complex to add as they'd need new animations.
