I came back to WvW after a long break, I found it dull before, but I came back in to give it another go hoping it had got better since then, the server was dead, no groups and this was at a peak time there should have been hundreds of people in the map. I shouted up in map chat "where is everyone?" got a reply from 1 person saying WvW was on it's last legs due to "balance patches".I tried not to get disheartened and run around trying to find a group, even a small one would do. I don't have Warclaw because I wasn't there for when people were doing trains to unlock them, I spent 1 hour looking for somebody, ANYBODY from my server to run along with. Got bored and thought I'd beat down an npc guard just for something, anything to do, along comes 1 guy on WC and stomps me dead because I wasn't full health after guard. Left Wvw for good now, there's no point of going back it will just be dead servers and a few people taking advantage of those who don't have WC.If WC was supposed to be for balance it just made it so much worse. It was so boring and the one time anything did happen it wasn't even a fair fight, WvW is a huge waste of time now.Give everyone WC so all have the same equal footing going in or remove them from WvW, idc which, WvW fights should hang on player skill of designing and playing a build, not who got the mount and who doesn't.Yeah I get it people be like "noooooo I like my kitty" but let's face it we all liked WvW a lot more before it when the number 1 cause of player death wasn't boredom. I don't mean to be a huge downer with this, but that last experience with WvW really hammered the last nail in the coffin in it for me. It's sad it's gone this way tbh.
  2. +1 to this, in general though not only for guild purposes, can we have like a 5 message max instead of 2? Because I was just messing around with some strangers running around Amnoon in tonic form (costume brawl) then for a giggle I turned into the wintersday dolyak and when I got hit I thought it would be a fun idea to drop gifts, like the event... all I wanted to do was mail some rare unidentified gear but I could only send to 2 people. It was a real buzzkill.

You know what I would say sure sounds fine, except that I don't think anyone would accept that a pony just jumped about 30 meters over a canyon unless the skin was Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron, but that poses it's own copyright/trademark issues.Honestly I think we have a better chance of getting a pegasus skin for the griffin as they're both ancient mythological creatures nobody can claim ownership over. That's why I suggested a horse skin for the warclaw earlier in this topic. They're roughly the same shape and don't have any weird abilities which would seem out of place for a horse, even the gate pull is the player throwing a grappling hook.Yeah I could go along with that. Tbh I'm surprised some people aren't taking into account the work the animators would have to do with new skins to fit existing base models, I'm not %100 on the animation jargon but I know it's easier to pull around the mesh frame than edit the skeleton inside it, another problem with putting a horse skin on a raptor frame is that the raptor has 2 arms and 2 legs, not 4 legs. Which is why pegasus skin for griffin would work.

My theory has always been that horses went the way of the gargoyles: extinct.But extinct by way of evolving into something else not just dying off in masses.And it was probably the horses found a magic source to transform them so they could weild weapons to fight back more effectively and stop being used by humans as beasts of burden. Hinted at from Zhed Shadowhoof in GW1 when he says:"Humans. They always think the world turns on their shoulders. The centaur people know secrets that you cannot fathom. Our warriors blaze through battle like fire on a dry plain. Your kind can enslave us, but never shall you break our spirits. We fear nothing beneath the open sky." Afterthought edit:If horses do still exist they're not known for being magical at all in of themselves and probably will go extinct eventually as they lose out in competition with creatures that do have magic abilities because they have a very set diet if they pushed out of their range to much they won't survive as well as say other non-magical real-life creatures like Coyotes/Wolves/Hyenas/Boar which can survive as scavengers and aren't obligate carvivores so can sustain themselves during harsher periods by eating basically anything, even moss and possibly minotaur poop.Ofc this is just lore meets irl conservation science type speculation for shiggles, being it's a fantasy world ingame I'm sure the Devs could just pull whatever explaination they want out of their butts and make it work, but this would just make more sense imo.

I said this before in various threads but here's the QoL things I want to see pls: Rather than have us scroll endlessly on minimap to find an event is all the way on the other side also show events happening on current map when we press M. For PvE Stow minions UI buton like Ranger has stow pet. Stows active minions but does not kill them. Minions on a timer like "rise" minions can still die off when stowed if timer runs out. Using minion skill in utility bar when minions stowed should bring those minions out of stow state so skills like Taste of Death should still heal you at the cost of the minion and combat effects like Charge/Rigormortis etc will still happen after the minion comes out. For this all minions should stow as a group but for the sake of healing on the run bloodfiend saccrifice should not un-stow the others and only-unstow itself as heal skills should be able to act independntly of the other utility and elite skills like any other prof/class. Resource node icons should have an option to be made larger in UI settings for those with detail sight issues (we can already set text size this should be no different). Charr and Norn mounts should have extra scaling of +1/3 of what the scaling already is because current scaling for mounts is aesthetically off-putting for those races. And I have the feeling this is why I'm seeing less Charr and Norn players. Add option in settings to turn off flashing effects to make the game more epilepsy friendly. (Options to turn them off or make them static for duration or make the flash smaller and more ignorable.)

The point is players being able to fly is a bad thing for the game. But if you insist on this line: It's because they're lugging your heavy butt around, messing up their aerodynamics. Especially if you play a Charr. ? Love my Charr but she looks so ridiculous on mounts. Why would you possibly say your character looks "ridiculous" on anything? That's self-judgemental that doesn't help you , or your character, at all. Your character looks no more ridiculous than any other GW2 looks on their mounts at allYou undoubtedly look fabulous on your critter.Good for you.The others were right, you are a TROLL.Your opinion on how my charr looks, which you have never seen before, is as ridiculous as it is irrelevant. We already had this discussion many times over.The answers are going to be no different: That GW2 is not WoW, it's not supposed to be WoW, and the Devs and majority of players are happy it isn't WoW. I'm not telling anyone to shove off here but given that that's what the answer has always boiled down to and probably always will, surely if you want to play WoW, just go play WoW.Don't try to make one game into another, games are supposed to be diverse. It's better this way. You'd get bored real quick if everything you logged into was same old same old.(Seriously though the best thing to do is to enjoy things on their own merit. Hope you find your joy.)

Answered yes to easy and hard mode because you know what yeah it would make raids more accessible, new raiders could train on easy mode for less loot to try it out before committing wads of gold and mats to crafting asc gear for meta. It's one of the things that puts me off raids too. Just not willing to sink that much time and effort into just getting in a group that wants ppl with full meta only to risk finding out it might be the most dull thing in game.
  11. Agreed. It's only useful to new players and the first time something occurs. After 5 years of playing or the umpteenth time it pops up we don't need this kind of hand-holding.
  12. I noticed a problem when I loaded into a Way point and the pet immediately ran what looked like 1/4 of the entire map to go bite something.
  13. Need to know as it's a bit of an accessibility issue. UI size small option is fine (ditto chat box, I mostly use Discord anyway) I want to keep it that way so I don't get visual disturbance when focusing on the task at hand but when I zoom out on the mini map so I can see a larger area the icons go so small some of them like the Mistonium icon go so small I can barely see them. I already wear glasses but it's hurting my eyes to see the icons and I need the map zoomed out for material hunting more than ever now I have to regather the materials I used up in Skyscale. If I missed the option to do that somewhere can someone please tell me where it is?And if it just isn't a thing:Devs can we please have the tiniest bit of code just to allow us a settings button on the mini map to let us set the icon size of things please? I'm getting worried that it's not helping my sight while I'm playing. (Also before anyone asks yes I do take breaks for this reason but it's just getting a bit much regardless.)Thanks.
