  1. As a collector of all cat related items, I NEED a permanent version of this please ??
  2. Anet rarely agrees with anything that would be good for the game or they take a great idea and kitten it up so you're probably right in a way, lol. It is merely my opinion a better way is needed.
  3. Yeah, I'm not advocating for free transfers all the time without restrictions. My ideas are as follows: ONE free transfer every 1 to 2 years - Any transfers between those free ones would be paid as with the current system.Or Keep current cost model, but have sales like with all other gem paid items/servicesI realize that world stacking is a problem, but guys, it's going to happen regardless. There needs to be a better solution for those that want to play together than what is currently available, at least until alliances are out.
  4. If alliances have truly been shelved, a free world transfer every so often would be a good solution. As much as I am against free transfers, if alliances is shelved I would argue with you.Speaking of this, when was the last time we heard any information about alliances? It kind of seems like it has fell into the Soon pit of darkness never to be spoke of again. Alliances would help WvW a lot in terms of world stacking, being split from guild mates and friends, as well as possibly increase participation. Okay, let me chunk the free transfer idea since this seems to be an issue with others. Can we at least have world transfer sales like they do with black lion merch? They did this in 2014 so I know it can be done.
  5. Unless things have changed, it really is a simple click of a button. Server transfers were free prior to a 2013 update with a 24h restriction between changes that was increased to 7 days. I was around for the last free transfer period and the most time consuming part was waiting for the world my old dead guild picked to open. If alliances have truly been shelved, a free world transfer every so often would be a good solution. I'm not really seeing a downside to this as world stacking is apparently going to happen regardless. I'm really hoping alliances are still going to happen though since this would fix not being able to play with friends and guildmates.
  6. Hence why a free transfer every so often would be good for the community. I believe I answered this in my original post saying I would like to play with my friends and guildmates that are on another server. If it is already a problem with the current cost model, I really don't think a free server transfer every couple of years is going to break it anymore than it is. Besides, alliances will fix this eventually, when/if they come out with it, and get rid of the reason for world transfers anyways. Why not get rid of that model now? 1800 gems isn’t much gold. Farm it, convert to gems and transfer. And that’s the highest amount. 750g is quite a bit of gold in my opinion. I'm not sure how anyone can justify the current cost range of transfers. If free transfers are off limits, at least reduce the current prices. Or tie free transfers to account birthdays. I'm hopeful about alliances, but they may or may not ever be implemented.

  8. Would it be possible to allow one free world transfer a year or every couple of years? I know that we are able to buy transfers, but the cost is pretty substantial for a $30 game. Price breakdowns for transfers are as follows: Medium: 500 Gems - $6.25High: 1000 Gem - $12.50Very High: 1800 Gems - $22.50 I understand wanting to make money and not letting people transfer all the time, but the last time free transfers were a thing was in 2013 I believe. I've made a lot of close friends who I would love to WvW, but it would be like me having to buy the game again to play with them. Perhaps I'm being cheap, but I think allowing a free transfer here and there would be beneficial to the community. Also, alliances could potentially fix this problem, but until they are actually in the game, it's not really a solution.
  9. Might look better if it were a true pegasus and not some monster mash creature. Not worth the 2k gem price in my opinion, but I'm sure others will enjoy a "horse" being added finally. On a sidenote, the cloven hooves actually work since it seems to be part unicorn which were historically depicted with cloven hooves.
  10. The defend phase kills the meta for me. It's just 10 minutes of hacking enemies that give minimal loot and experience that seems to just drag on and on. There's zero fun in it and it could honestly be cut down to 5 minutes. The construct boss could have been neat with the aspect of chaining him, but as it stands, the poor thing gets zerged down and does hardly any damage to players. There are no real mechanics you have to watch for to make it interesting. I'll be honest, I personally ignore the meta because I just can't be bothered to do it, even for the achievement. For the time spent, it's not rewarding or fun enough for me to complete.
  11. Let me think about this for a moment: No. Optional subs may seem like a grand idea, until the company starts putting stuff in them to where playing without them is a huge hassle (looking at you ESO). Even if it were just for cosmetic things, it's still a no from me.
  12. Considering they have talked about it, showed it off, and we all know it's going to be a 3 level monetization, I think we can safely call out parts that are bad about it. In my case, paying for this grinds my gears, hence why I commented.
  13. The wiki has some good info on two that are usually the ones people often miss. I was stuck on 24/25 until I gave up and looked to see if there were "hidden" ones.
  14. My view on this build template fiasco is that Anet has made a real cluster of something that could have been great. Like, my goodness, how can one part of a game legit have 3 levels of monetization?? In any case, my recommendations are as follows: Build templates (both individual and account) should be free as paying for some strings of code to be saved (and that can be nullified with doc saves) is pretty ridiculous. Put a cap of like 20 per character plus 20 account then call it a day if you're worried about it taking up too much space on the server. Equipment storage should be increased via gemstore (if something has to monetized ?) as they are comparable to extra bag slots, although I think we should get more than the 2 free to start. I do like your idea of these being shared over the whole account Blam. Like you said, it would be beneficial for those with multiple characters of the same weight class. It even might encourage others to grind for legendary gear (including me ?) because you could use it easily across multiple classes. I'll be honest and say that I'm not sure how to make the equipment storage good for legendary users. If none of it was being monetized, they could have made it much like the account wardrobe feature where you added armor/runes/trinkets/ect to your equipment storage, except they kept the stats (or selectable stats for legendary) and they were permanently unlocked for the account (only for ascended/legendary, exotic is kept soulboud unless runes/sigils). That way when you are making your build, you just go through and select what pieces (and/or stats) you want for that particular build. I'm just not sure how to translate that over to a feature you have to pay for. At the end of the day, I'm still pretty bitter they're charging anything for this. All we can really do is make the best of it though, as Blam has talked about, because Anet is pretty kitten about doing anything other than stocking the gemstore these days.
  15. So, you're telling me I'm pretty much going to have to pay (partially) for a feature that has been requested for years (because the slots you're giving us for "free" doesn't even cover the amount of professions you have in your game...) and was free in GW1? Considering this should have been a feature when the game came out and has taken you 7 years to implement, I think putting it partially in the gemstore is pretty abhorrent. My question is this:Do you think this will hurt your player base (especially people that run fractals/raids) due to having such a limited number of build templates available for "free"? Will people that have numerous builds for their characters be able to make this work without spending a lot of money via the gemstore?
