  1. The thing is, you can't exchange ascended luck for anything. ;) It could become salvageable for 5 stacks of rare luck.
  2. Being able to convert for exotic to ascended luck (200 to 500) would save me sooo much bank space and be trivial to implement.
  3. A lot of prefixes nobody uses in pve are meta for different builds in wvw.
  4. I don’t think he’s acting rationally - Elder Dragons can’t be tamed or controlled. Don’t you think it’s funny that his objective (to be in a position where he has enough power to rival the Pact and/or Aurene) dovetails nicely with Jormag’s presumed priorities - namely to put the brakes on the dragon-killers that Aurene and the Pact represent? Given that Jormag is the most subtle Elder Dragon, I doubt that that’s a coincidence. He's not trying to tame or control Jormag. He saw the Kralk's power can go to Aurene and intends to do what Charr do best and fight a war against Jormag. I'm not saying he's smart, he's going to get slapped hard and do a Scarlet style thing where he triggers an Elder Dragon. But he legitimately thinks he can win, and winning wins puts the Charr ahead of the other races.
  5. I don't get the sense Jormag is manipulating Banger. I read it more as he wants to be equally powerful to The Pact. The Pact has an allied Elder Dragon, so Bangor needs an allied Elder Dragon in an arms race. If he can slay Jormag and claim the magic for the Charr, nobody is stronger than the Charr. He's acting totally rationally, for what his goals are.
  6. I also bought two garden nodes thinking this was intended behavior, so that was 2000 gems well spent.
  7. Zojja secretly got turned into a Mordrem and is destroying Fort Salma as we speak.
  8. For the necro changes with barrier application. I don't mind them so much, but moving the benefit from being on the skill to being supported by traits might be a better way to do it. Look at how druid's astral healing skills got reduced except if you spec'd into healing. The benefit is still there, but not out of the box, it has to be part of the build to work.
  9. Staff with unblockable marks is how you actually hurt enemies in wvw. I would also argue in a zerg you want focus or maybe warhorn over torch. Stripping 3 boons and nuking a single target with focus 5 is actually really powerful, especially if you can identify the pin. Some people don't like pin sniping, so I'll leave that to you to decide how you want to play. This is what I run, there are tweaks that can be made based on group comp/preference: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PSwAYd3lNw2YIsHmJOKXqvSA-zRZYVhnNiB3oAOl2EC1JB6TEEzCQDDA-e
  10. To resist Mordremoth is to embrace oblivion.
  11. You should, however, fear the power of the jungle dragon.
  12. Unfortunately, you cannot force others into doing so. There's absolutely no denying the expansions fundamentally broke this game's PvP formats. Yes you can. Find enough people who agree with how you want to do and run a private match.
  13. A sand flare nerf would be the only one of these I care about, and even then I could live with it as I only run it in group comps.
  14. Having to replant ascended seeds kind of kills it for me.
  15. Because of how horizontal progression works in GW2, you can pretty much play it in its launch condition if you want to.
  16. We don't really know how powerful Vlast was, so it's impossible to say that Aurene was stronger than Vlast (let alone "far stronger") by the time of All or Nothing. She had additional powers that she got from Balthazar and (somehow, despite consistency) Joko, but the thing is, if Vlast wasn't killed off for the sake of making Aurene "the one", then Vlast would have been in position to get Balthazar's magic instead of Aurene. Which means Vlast would have been even more powerful than Aurene was during Episode 5 - he might not have died and needed resurrection. We know it from context. By episode 5 Aurene had grown strong enough to brand things. If Vlast had this ability, some NPC in Elona would have mentioned it and made uncomfortable comparisons between Vlast and Kralk. Branding is not a Joko/Balthazar/Mordremoth/Zhaitan power, it's a bloodline heritage power. This is purely speculation, but one would imagine that this branding power requires a minimum amount of magic/training to pull off. You're right that Vlast wasn't killed off for the sake of making Aurene "the one", he was killed off because Balthazar killed him. Not every story thread needs a deeper meaning. In Act I of PoF Vlast is clearly stronger than Aurene. If Vlast absorbed Balthazar and Joko magic he would have been stronger than Aurene. But it's moot because Balthazar killed him. It's also not clear the conflict with Joko would have happened had Vlast not been killed. Our adversarial relationship with Joko only occurred after Balthazar killed us to bait Aurene and we told him off and we stole his army. So is Vlast + Balthazar magic stronger than Aurene + Balthazar + Joko magic? We'll never know for sure. It's also possible that with Vlast on our side in the PoF campaign we would have knocked out both Balthazar and Kralk instead of just Balthazar.
  17. Any enemy in the Dragonfall map that appears elsewhere in Tyria is a candidate for "originally from the mists." Aatxe are also from the mists. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Nightmare
  18. Bathazar helps us protect Aurene's (in Lazarus disguise) because he needed a scion of Glint to defealt Kralk. Balthazar knew exactly what he was doing fighting the elder dragons and was hedging his bets on which elder dragons he wanted to kill. Ultimately he settled on Primordus and Jormag at the same time using Omadd's Machine. Then we stepped in and stopped him. Stepping in and destroying Omadd's Machine doomed Vlast as it sent Balthazar to the Crystal Desert. Even if Vlast would have made a better candidate than Aurene as Kralk's replacement, he was the better candidate for Balthazar fighting Kralk. For the plot of LW3/PoF to make any sense, Balthazar had to go after Vlast, which he did. Then, because Vlast lost, it triggered Balthazar killing us as bait to attract Aurene. Balthazar made one slip up and Aurene absorbed a lot of Balthazar's magic, allowing her to become really powerful in a hurry. By episode 5 of LW4 when we lost to Kralk, Aurene was far stronger than Vlast. Then in the next episode she killed Kralk and became stronger than any other elder dragon. (Which probably means she won't be present to fight Primordus/Jormag in LW5, because the Pact + Aurene would steamroll either of them at this point... unless they work together... So, uh, LW5 will be interesting.)
  19. I like the skins, but the skirmish ticket price is brutal for those of us trying to craft legendary armor.
  20. Balthazar did basically fight his brother endlessly in a wvw-like scenario.
  21. I just want to craft a second Astralaria so I can can get my dual wield legendary title.
  22. This, it's one of the best packages in the game and I bought out the two max.
