I mean....my DPS mirage (no macros) has about a 70% win rate vs em and my DPS druid (Staff/LB) has an even better one. Its rare I find a DE that I consistently lose against and im probably just an average player. Maybe I have a lot of practice vs them who knows.

I see attempts at portal bombs, however they arent as well placed or executed as days of yore. I appreciate seeing the attempts however. chain golem porting I havent seen in many many years.

Portal bombs were so much a thing that some servers offered training due to how effective they could be (golem porting from spawn to mid map using 4-5 Mesmers was an amazing sight). Stacking to hide numbers and fields blasting for cleanses/might stacking was epic (hammer warriors ftw). Thieves solely being used as scouts (scouting back them was actually scouting and there were many good scouts).

this drives me BATTY when comms running dont (if theres no immediate danger elsewhere). When I lead I make it a point to find the siege real quick (dont spend long looking but I do look) to avoid this.

Ive noticed a surge in necros 1 night and eles on another night (most running cele if you can believe it). havent seen many war's and those I do are usually zerkers.

I mean I hate waiting more than 1.5 mins for RI however if I expect an enemy to come to defend or the 3rd server to try to take it, im there to kill 2 birds with 1 stone...everytime I leave a point something ALWAYS happens to make me thing "darn...should have stayed":

I recently poked fun at a friendly comm the other week about his guild gathering nodes lol. Nothing wrong with it, I just couldnt be bothered to collect them myself. Too many cheeks need to be clapped and only slows things down for me.

This I can say that I had no issues completing weeklies. Maybe its the times or maybe I got lucky on when I jumped on (I tagged up once or twice). I Am also part of an alliance guild as well so that might help (WOOO GO BagS)

I used to be a zerg comm back in the day (in CD years ago), then a calvary comm turned small scale and now i do that and roam so ive experienced a lot of it. Like others have mentioned there is some merits to your claims, however because of the event its not a 100% accurate representation of the game mode (due to the updated #s on each team thanks to WR plus the event). WvW/PvP isnt for everyone, some people play for rewards and some play for the love of the mode despite how repetitive they all are. I have a ton of tickets banked up that im not using...however could make a couple pieces of legendary gear if I had the desire to however I do not. I used to PvP as much as I WvW now (moreso during Seasons 1/2 of PvP and prior back when Helseth was a thing). I left PvP as it was SUPER toxic and went to WvW as I wanted to keep fighting people and I really never left since (back when the player that went by TDM was a thing). In the end, milage will vary regardless and to each their own. I used to do PvP for placements (usually got plat) then stopped and went back to WvW til next time (havent done this for the last year or so). Rewards mean nothing to me in WvW and I like the build diversity WvW has over PvP as I used to be a thoerycrafter as well. Either way I suggest maybe try WvW again outside any special events so you can get a more accurate experience. Whichever you choose, just have fun doing what you do....its a game after all.

I have been on time when this wasnt the case as well however. Ive seen times it was everyone has a blob regardless if it was the losing team. Hopefully data from this beta will fix something for next time.

Seven Pines here too and I know exactly who you are referring to here...luckily I am not in EBG often however the big fights in ABL are way more blobby than normally seen.
