  1. Does usual balancing session includes checking top builds from https://snowcrows.com/benchmarks and nerfing them without proper explanation? It feels like all of the balancing in the game is based on the DPS on the golem which is kinda crazy.
  2. I think it would be just nice to be able to join discord voice room with one click from the game and not waste few minutes for that and after the game to leave all of these servers you’ve joined. So If discord is a preferred choice for gw2 players can we add some quality of life features to the game that allow people join preferred voice chats with one click please? At minimum, open links?
  3. Hm I could not find any posts like these, hence the new topic. I agree that it would not be obligatory to join the voice channel, also user could only join without active mic so it should be fine. It’s not easy to “go on voice”. Also just like I mentioned I don’t find it fun to retype manually random IDs from chat to join some unknown discord server which I probably leave after finishing the run 😕 (would be way easier to copy chat messages or launch links from game) Also it’s not about tutorials, I know there are some but its about coop, some of the things can be only explained live. Tbh it’s way easier to just use in game solution to better coop with team. I think that discord even has some pretty interesting solutions for implementing in game per-party voice chat so it could be explored by ArenaNet: https://github.com/discord/sample-game-integration Well, I really like in game voice chat, especially proximity chat as in some games it allows for more immersive experience 😄. I’m sure gw2 voice chat would have good rep since the community is nice. Also maybe you could ban/mute some offensive/toxic people. Maybe you don’t need such feature but I’m sure many would appreciate it.
  4. Hey, not sure where to post feature request like this. I think GW2 would benefit from the in game voice chat. Most of the end game instanced content is quite hard and requires communication/explanation for newbies. Quite often people are asked to join a discord server just to join one party which is a bit crazy (personally I don’t want to join some random servers for every single group). I think that communication and players interaction should be a core of an mmo, so feature like in game voice chat would be a huuuge help. What it solves: people are more likely to party up with randoms and lfg requirements are more noob friendly. If someone fails and is eager to learn, it’s easy to explain mechanics to them so it brings more interaction between players and maybe prevent some players from insta leave after party wipe. Player would have a choice to join voice channel from squad/party menu
  5. Best part of the core story is that you can skip dialogs. After that it only get worse. From all this crap narrative and dull dialogs path of fire is quite enjoyable so you may want to play it, although you will get some spoilers if you skip whole expansion
  6. Hey, I saw that there were already few topics about toxicity and direct messages (whispers) in the past but they are quite old and don't explain anything. I don't know why there were no actions on changing how direct messages work, especially taking in the account how vulnerable we are in MMO's compared to for example social media / discord (who take users privacy seriously). I got totally mind wrecked by few whispers and don't want to play this game anymore if there is no way to prevent stuff like this, especially if I just want to play to chillout.Right now we can disable visibility of whispers but that makes playing problematic when nice people from my friend list would like to invite me to some open world activities etc. If I hide chat they would think that I'm ignoring them because there is no feedback what's going on.So I'd suggest adding new setting to prevent whispers from anyone else than friends (or option to block all whispers). If some stranger would try to whisper a person who activated one of these setting, the system would reply that's impossible to contact recipient with direct messages because of its privacy settings. We already have profanity filters but these cover only a fraction of potential harming sentence. Please comment below what do you think about it and if it is possible to implement from game side.
  7. No, this is bullshit crying. Just change your meta builds for something more usefull, most classes have permaheal, perma condi cleanse, and 4 utility and weapon skills blocking projectiles. Also Everything is telegraphed, so someone is blind if they can't react for judgement. Also there are mounts for you to move so f** fast so what the hell are you complaining about, you don't have to deal with things you don't want to deal with. You're complaining about class that is so fragile it dies from any class few autoattacks. There are few other classes that can one shoot AND THERE ARE ALWAYS TRADEOFFS. Just don't run solo, and maybe USE PROPER SKILLS your class provide.
  8. You should not listen to players on forum at all since all people here are biased. Contact professionals/ best players/ hire some mastermind data scientists and consult changes with them.
