  1. There's definately a charr theamed raptor. Would love more for my charrs, but there's the raptor.
  2. No more, no less then what expected.Quick way to change things around, good enough for the regular player. Things were a bit unstable for me last night, in terms of login and gem store, but all-in-all I have no problems with it. Good addition. I feel like I should come here to say this, since negative voices are tremendously vocal (they have the right to be, just don't forget that there are other opinions)As a final note, a bit more on the negative side, It DOES feel a bit LIMITED for hardcore players, especially considering how EXPENSIVE it is to upgrade. I believe that's not a problem for the majority of the players, but there's a good chunk that will definitely need much more then the free features.
  3. I didn't dislike the changes that much, it's just harder to manage (a bit more cerebral). But i'm far from a "pro", i tend to play in a relaxed way. People don't usually complain either, but who knows. I'm not support though, and I honestly believe that other classes are better at that particular role.
  4. Actually one player can interact physically with another. Giving the example of the /"some emote" commands ( /dance /salute ). What this command is doing is if you and other player write the same command with the symbol after the command in the same 1-3 seconds you can do the emote synchronized. This can be done with a lot of people. If we implement this option further we can have something like a player with interactable mount and synchronize the movement with another one. Other thing to think of is can one player remote other player and the answer is maybe. At dragon's bash festival we saw the moa race where you can observe the moas racing eachother, to look from their eyes, and when you finish you can just leave by simply click a button(unmount). So we have the option in the game for us to be synchronized with another player and to observe a movement of another object. As far as I know you can observe in PvP as well. The only barrier I am seeing is that after the observation and movement finishes, in other words you dismount or the other player dismounts, you need to be left/ported on the side where the dismount happened, but I don't see a reason why this cannot be done. There must be an argument as well where the game says something like "this is the main player so he needs to stay on this side of the mount and this is the one who's riding the players mount so he needs to stay here". But running into another player won't make them move (exept fractals with Social Awkwardness instability. I think the barrier is just an movable object in game which can interract with others). The only things that can literally catch our characters and move them, are scripted situations, mobs and objects, like Pyrotorrick, Spider Queen (Story Mission, LS4 Ep. 4 in Sun's Refuge), Fire Tornados (Trio, Specimen Chamber).Yea, players can interract with others by using skills. 1. If they're enemies, 2. If they're downed allies (necro). If mounts were objects (controlled by players, like cars in GTA), possibility of creating mounts for 2 players could be much easier. Just for fun, let's discuss this from an amateur point of view. The reason why collisions are avoided in open world is probably because the calculations would represent an increased latency (or something like that), and are discarded in most MMORPGS (hopefully it will eventually be a thing, as technology and connection quality improves), but they would also be terribly boring in most cases (imagine getting to a bank ;) ). Again, if you attach 2 objects at runtime, it will basically behave as one, controlled by the "master", where the second object gets locked in at a specific anchor and in a specific set of animations. So, what you see as 2 objects become indeed one for the duration of that "attachment". In theory, you could even piggyback another player, with the correct set of animation and poses.Again this is purely based on some "hobbie" experiences, and have no idea if that's how GW2 engine works, but again technically it should be perfectly possible. Useful, i don't know... More work then it would be worth, maybe... Fun, most definitely :)
  5. Well, you can "attach" objects at specific anchors at runtime. Sometimes that's how vehicles works. So in theory, technically it is possible. Don't know why you came out so hard :)
  6. I'm just someone that likes playing for fun, so don't take this personally nor too seriously. From the perspective of an amateur (me), it would seem that every class is op to some other class, considering the amount of posts like this I see in the different sub-foruns :)
  7. Still applies. Good to know... Just out of curiosity, how do you feel about Houndskin for charr? That's somewhat of a cloak or cape, right? And it was a efficient workaround clipping technicalities. Notice that this is more in the line of what I mean by cape, rather then the all noble cape of a king or Robin Hood. Which are also valid for many people if it wasn't for the technical issues, which is the only argument i consider valid for not having them ingame considering all the incredibly "idiotic" things we do have.PS - again I apologize if i went a bit out of line in previous posts.
  8. Because scarves exist and are equally lore-fitting compared to something that will clip though my weapons and get me more aggrivated more times than not.Except scarves aren't considered back items. Yes and? It still moves like a cloak? I haven't seen one game where cloaks and capes haven't looked tacky except for RuneScape. And RuneScape capes were there for bragging rights. So unless the casual crew wants to scream about the ever famous "elitism" again, having cloaks or capes serve no actual benefit. Now if they did something like passively boost magic find while equipped as a reward for doing a collection, well then that's when we are talking about something useful. Oh, and shiny wings do.... Having a cape on my norn, which fits perfectly the lore and ambience serves no purpose, but having some raven wings on my back is ok? Those do not "clip"? Those do not block other players view in fights? I don't get your arguments... Capes are just as valid, if not more, as a back item as is any of those kitten wings and banners... Fractal wing and PvP wings serve their purpose. Fractal and PvP wings both reside in the mists where things like odd magics and weird essences can take place to make things like that. Those are justified. Lore friendly for their location. (Just not on actual Tyria) Now the stupid golden wings, heart wings, angel wings, dragon wings, macaw wings and all of those other ones? Yea, I'll give it to you there that those are garbage tier and equally as tacky as bulky capes that clip and hide the armor I grinded gold to make. Either way, you are banking on Anet, who, on release of the racing scarves, couldn't even be bothered to put physics on the cloth and it just looked like cardboard jutting out from your neck. If you want 'in-lore' capes to look like that, be my guest, because we both know they will do that and will only change it if a mass of people cry. Tdlr: Don't trust Anet with cosmetics like that. You are right about the technical issues, i may have over reacted a bit and i didn't even think about that part. As right you are about the wings. As for capes i could settle for some more mantles like the Lunatic Light Mantle or the Houndskin Mantle as a compromise! ;)

  10. Very good advise, thank you.I personally also struggle a bit in 1vs1 unless I come across some class that is extremely vulnerable to my particular skills, but that advise about terrain feels like gold to me. I got to the point that I can already control my heart beat ;) so trying to pay attention to kiting and terrain might be possible by now! ;)I'll have to check out those locations for some practice.
  11. no they said equiped gear cannot be accessed by other characters Oh, that's a bit "boring" indeed. For my personal use it's not critical, but I imagine it might be for others. Still I do understand the possible technical implications. Thank you for clarifying, mate.
  12. Norns are not humans! Nor do we want to be! Shoo! ;)

  14. Bring back Mini Raven... :) And please, make a tougher looking / morerealistic (couldn't use the word I wanted) skyscale/raptor skin with no glitters and sturdy enough for a norn ;)
